it’s kind of insane how we’re expected to have our lives revolve around our jobs. i’ve been working full time for a little over a month now and i wish i could spend most of my time sitting by the lake instead

hmmm i think I’d have to say eggs benedict??? just so special and delicious, hits every time.... altho today we made homemade breakfast burritos and that was pretty much 10/10 as well..... i’m more of a savory breakfast gal tbh. love it all!

Omfg I literally watched that short film awhile back bc I had heard some buzz about it and SAMEEE sort of reaction, it literally made me feel so disgusting and disturbed. I’m pretty sure it’s the same director who did hereditary and midsommar btw (?)but somehow the short film was more disgusting than both imo

yes it’s ari aster!!! that’s part of why i was down to watch it (despite it being recommended by some people whose movie tastes i Don’t Always Respect) bc i love hereditary and thought midsommar was really good!!! but jesus christ i hated it so much. i watched that the same night i saw train to busan for the first time and wow was that night a roller coaster of feelings lol

17. movie or tv adaptations? TV! I feel like tv shows can delve so much deeper into characters and also tv tends to be so much weirder and more experimental

19. reading indoors or outdoors? I LOOOVE reading outdoors! I have a “patio�� at my apartment that basically is just a little rectangle of concrete leading out to the parking lot, so I haven’t been reading outside as much as I would like :( but this ask inspired me and now I’m going to go to a park and read!

20. coffee or tea? omg. is both an ok answer? because I want to say both... I love having a cup of coffee in the morning but then I drink tea through the rest of the day....... actually I’m gonna say tea because I love steeping tea leaves and watching them bloom in the water :^)

there are so many songs that come to mind… the lyricism and instrumentals of someone tell the boys (samia) really reflect the frustration of always feeling like every man you know sees you as a supporting character in his story… every single night (fiona apple) drove me crazy because of her lyricism somehow perfectly being able to capture the feeling of obsessive-compulsive thoughts coupled with anxiety… mitski and sidney gish are both honestly just amazing lyricists overall and so good at capturing the exact sort of alienation experienced by those among us who feel like we have or should have like, android faces under our skin… etc! 

35: a song that motivates you

this will be our year (the zombies) .. i think i reblogged a post with it at the start of this year and i listened to it a lot in the transitional period between 2019 and 2020… idk why but thinking about the song in terms of the time that has passed like… puts into perspective how hard this year has been and that we are all truly handling it much better than expected… like if you had asked me a year ago if i could live through the circumstances i live in now, i probably would have said no… but here i am… relentlessly chugging away…… there’s something to be said for that ig!!
