seed i desperately need ur thoughts on zayn saying "an old friend of mine is here tonight" i tried to write something about how the word "friend" both encompasses and simultaneously doesn't even cover half of what zouis is but i couldn't be coherent enough i know i can count on u though

you’ve lost your mind if you think i can be coherent abt them rn those words will HAUNT me forever. you’re stuck on friend and i’m stuck on old. like yeah they’re friends. louis was his friend. louis is his friend. his “old friend.” you know who says things like that? old people. middle aged men. “oh that’s an old friend of mine” and it’s said about someone they lived a life with. there is So Much history there that can’t be summed up any way other than old friend. because what is a friend? someone who isn’t family, but becomes family anyway. someone who doesn’t have to love you, but chooses to love you anyway. day after day after day. fights and disagreements happen but when push comes to shoves, a friend is there. and old friend? oh. oh that’s someone who’s been around for so long and will be around for so long it doesn’t matter how much time has passed or has yet to come or how many breaks you’ve had. time is irrelevant. you’re old friends. your kids will grow up and say “our parents were old friends” long after you’re both gone. colleagues, bandmates, brothers. they’re all those things. but they’re old friends. i feel fucking crazy

hobbies: writing, knitting, sending letters to my long distance friends, & baking.

something you're good at: it's taken me a while to say it w my full chest and tbh i still feel some kind of way abt it, but i can make some well-written poetry. also i'm a good cook for the most part.

any random physical skills? i can crack my knuckles just by flexing my fingers, i can crack my wrists on command, aaaand what else... oh i can make a very specific audible "pop!" noise by putting my thumb in my ear. it's a real hit at parties.

something you're bad at: dancing, for sure. i can get by but don't look too close while i do it pls lmfao

something you collect: oh god, lots of stuff! enamel pins, stickers, mugs, magnets, silk scarves, concert t-shirts, i'm sure there's more. i'm a nostalgic knick knacky kinda guy.

fave food: pasta carbonara 100% and bruschetta

fave animal: snow leopards! ugh, and dragons. and my own beautiful angelic cat.
