▪︎ raised by his aunt after parents were killed due to cartel activity

▪︎ troubled kid of the block, got into fights due to fighting his own existential crisis

▪︎ despite his aunt not wanting him to go into the military life and raised him to see the city's corruption, he joined just for the heck of it, he got to a point in his life were people were calling him a good fighter despite his stature, living in a city filled with death like Las Almas causes you to learn things inorder to survive

▪︎ due to this background life, he excelled in his recruit days, was later assigned to the special forces under Colonel Varagas' squad-Los Vaqueros-and became their k-9 unit specialized for recon/intel gathering and weapon specialist

▪︎ he's used to death so he found it funny when Alejandro and the rest felt it was concerning he didn't have much of a reaction during their first assignment unlike most new recruits, he may be used to it but it doesn't make it easier

Fun lil Facts:

▪︎ His alias was given by Alejandro. After getting Toby to be his companion, the other Vaqueros liked to joke around and comment on how the dog followed Rigo everywhere, and since Rigo is small and sneaky in the field "el sabueso siempre sigue al zorro" . *So it *stuck, he's el zorrito de la base.

▪︎ Toby gets his name from The Fox and the Hound, Copper is named Toby in the Spanish dub of the movie. One fox and a dog, always together.

▪︎ His last name is my mother's maiden name, I could've gone with my dad's but we already have a Vargas lmao.

▪︎ Barware, if you value your life, dare not mention his stature, you will be sent to the medic. Only exceptions are his hubbies of course, they get to manhandle him all they want.

▪︎ He has a perma scowl but he isn't grumpy per say, more of the silent type, can be a gremlin when he wants to and serious the next
