someone on twitter posted about carmine from pokemon sv having features of hisuian zoroark and one thing led to another so here's a whole au featuring zoroark!carmine being a terror

lore under the cut

the story starts with carmine's death in kitakami as a zoura, and reborn as a hisuian zoura

she blames the humans for her death so she terrorizes the village for a while, becoming a ghost story in the process

the death would happen while grandpa is a young boy. she grows and evolves and 20 years of terrorizing the same place is bound to be boring eventually so she retreats.

to the timeless woods where child of grandpa/Kieran's father finds her and just. gives mochi despite carmine being extremely hostile

he keeps coming back with mochi. carmine very begrudgingly accepts the mochi and he keeps coming back and wow this human is stupid and funny - oh shit he's like the first human she doesn't hate on sight. oh.

eventually carmine lets herself become his partner and she grows very close to him

she stays with him through his journey, marrying of his wife and the birth of Kieran

dad intros her as Kieran's older sister and she plays along with a human guise so that Kieran doesn't find out that his big sister is a feared ghost story in the village

dad and mom have to go on a journey and they request her + grandparents protect Kieran while they travel

and kieran is like 7 years old at this point and fully believes carmine as his biological big sister (not the scary malice fox that eats people at night) so she puts the disguise on full time in order to better protect him

and manages to disguises herself into the village. the only two people who know are the grandparents. (and eventually perrin when she stumbles across carmine's old den and puts the pieces together seeing some of carmine's stuff in there)

Niko is from Kalos, and Dialga looked at this traumatized kid and said “perfect to save the past, now let’s go” so he got sent back to Hisui, and he loves his angry fox and fluffy Cynda.

He also loves ghost types especially.

In the DLC he’s a professional Carmine Slander. Good for him.

As for the story

After the events of this au's indigo disk, Carmine and Kieran would go to Kitakami in order to recover. However, little did they know, that as the sun set, the blood moon transformation would begin. running deep into the timeless woods due to the curse and thus would begin what could be considered the "mochi mayhem" of this AU. When the Paldeapack (the three rivals and the two protagonists) visit Kitakami, they find out that Carmine has gone missing since the blood moon and they set out to find her and the tale of what happened on why this happened on the blood moon. upon Kieran tracking carmine down, the Paldeapack come face-to-face with the now feral blood moon beast Carmine. After a difficult battle, they are able to beat the sense into Carmine. When she breaks from her feral trance, she immediately breaks down upon seeing her new form and hugs Kieran as the story of the “power always comes at a price” story concludes...

As for the design, Carmine is based on the monster seen in "the ritual" (AND NO IT'S NOT A CERTAIN NATIVE AMERICAN SPIRIT SO SHUT UP.)

Her design also pulls from three Hisuian pokemon . Those being Wyrdeer, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, and hisuian zoroark

Alright, we ready to go, Carmine?

(The boy pauses for a moment, before sighing loudly)

Oh, wait, right, you probably don't recognize me like this. My bad.

It's me, Than! Y'know how Zoroark can use Illusions to disguise and all that? I made my own, didn't wanna look exactly like any specific human! Sure, it's based on Dusk, but it's not trying to be her, y'know? Anyways, call me "Day" whenever I'm like this, 'kay? I'm going around like this for now for sake of convenience. Better to look like a human when gathering information, so you blend in. I mean, what stands out more, a giant ghost fox or some random boy in a hat?

//ooc: before anyone asks yes I had this idea for a while lol- I mean, why should have the power to cast illusions and NOT make himself a human disguise? Silly fox.

… okay, clearly everyone else here is just making you more upset. Let me try. Sorry if I offend you at all during this, it’s not my intention. I really do just want to talk. 

Hi, Kieran! You can call me Dusk. 

Listen… I have a few questions. You said you only remember little bits and pieces from before Dokutaro, yeah? 

Don’t you find that concerning..? Like, at all? I know that it’s probably due to whatever deal you made with him, but… don’t you ever wonder what you’re forgetting, who ELSE you’re forgetting? What about your whole life before him? The good AND the bad? The people and Pokémon who cared about you? 

I mean… you even forgot your sister during this. Sure, she was mean, overly controlling, and a fair bit bossy… but she cares. She’s worried about you. I mean, I have sisters myself. Do they annoy me, anger me, and get on my nerves sometimes? Yeah, all the time. Would we all still fight someone to defend the others’ honors? Absolutely, NO hesitation. Something tells me that Carmine would do the same for you, she just… doesn’t know how to not go overboard.  

And… I hate to say it, but if you had LOST memories from making the deal with Dokutaro, then isn’t it entirely possible he could be MANIPULATING what remains of those memories? Making you believe things that aren’t true? 

I’m not accusing Dokutaro of lying, don’t get me wrong. I’m just saying that… he may not be telling you everything. Now, I know what you might say to that. 

“But… he’s my friend! He’s helped me to get stronger! He wouldn’t lie to me, would he?” 

Hate to say it, friends lie to friends as well. They tell them what they want to hear. So I want you to think about it, think HARD. Hasn’t this whole situation seemed… weird? I mean, have you even seen yourself recently? You’re… barely even human now.  

Sure, it’s in the pursuit of strength, but is strength REALLY worth losing who you are fundamentally as a person? You don’t need to become someone completely different, just because you want to get stronger. You just need to learn how to balance the growth with who you KNOW you are.  

Some deals are just too good to be true, after all. And does it really matter how strong you are, if you lost everything you had in order to get that way..? 

On that point of balancing growth with who you know you are, if you’re not sure of who you are yourself… maybe we can help you figure that out! You don’t need to go through this alone, Kieran. 

Again, I’m sorry if any of this offended you, angered you, or made you upset in any way. I just genuinely wanted to talk to you about this. You don’t need to make a choice about it right now, but… just think about what I said here, please?

Not written!

Gritina finds Akari during the red sky and turns her into a mini giritina. Akari finds home with Giritina and the distortion world.  Ingo and Rei fix the sky, but things still aren’t looking right.

Rei (Skyfaller in this one) was originally born in Univa. They later moved to Paldea. (Rei is Violet MC and Legends: Arceus MC). Suddenly, when he, Penny, Nemona, Arven, Kieran, and Carmine are in Area zero, he is transported to a strange land. How will his friends and pokemon react, when he disappears and when he returns? Especially considering he doesn’t remember them, or his past at all.

Emmet and Elesa were given a strange device. It seems to let them watch videos from some child’s extremely dangerous journey. Akari falls into Hisui and finds a way to video record what happens, hoping it would help with her memories. She doesn’t know that they are getting sent to some people a certain warden once knew.

After Akari’s exile, she gets adopted by Zoroarks and Zorua’s. Later she is deemed to be Lady Zoroarks warden. Eventually, Akari’s name doesn’t fit anymore and she changes it to Shou. Warden Shou starts a new life there, unrecognisable to others. The others keep looking for Akari, not realising she is right there the whole time. Arceus decides he needs someone else to fix the sky. Perhaps a parallel of a certain warden would work?

Ingo has been missing for four years when suddenly Emmet starts having strange dreams. He sees the perspective of a young girl, proclaimed as a hero he learned about in history class, but he can’t control what they do or say. He can only see what they see and feel what they feel. He tries to ignore it until he sees a familiar looking warden through the hero’s eyes.

(Pokemon Oc!) Hero is a person with one task. Save people. That is all they can remember. Not their name. Not their past. Or maybe they could remember their past, but through the centuries they’ve been alive it’s been blurred. Their Lucario stands by their side, along with golden silhouettes of the first noble pokemon. After all, when your title becomes your purpose and all you are, why not make it your name as well? Well, the life crisis’s can wait for now. They have a person they need to send home, and they don’t exactly have as much time as they do.

In the process of being written!

Golden Memories: After Ingo and Akari leave Hisui, everything about them begins to fade away. Even the memories of them. Will Rei be able to find out why and stop it before it is too late or will the future forget about two of Hisui’s greatest battlers and hero’s like the ground they walked on.

An ember marks the sign of safety!: After Akari gets extremely injured Arceus grants a blessing to heal her body. But in order for Arceus to heal her body he needs to take it. So while Arceus holds onto Akari’s body, she is given the temporary form of a cyndaquil. Her pokemon take it upon themselves to take care of her in this form. … but maybe they need a humans help when figuring out how little pups work. It’s jot like any of them took care of hatchlings, let alone injured one’s before.

Breaking point: Akari becomes possessed by Arceus after catching Palkia and Dialga. She becomes frenzied, and so does her pokemon. How do the clans and jubilife solve this? They need to think about how she did the same for the nobles, and perhaps some help from some people Ingo once knew.

Birthday for a faller: It’s Akari’s birthday! (Well, more like falling day, but who cares) The clans are working with the galaxy team to get something set up! Especially after they realized she couldn’t remember any of her’s!

Blue hues, sparkling in the snow: Akari is exiled from Jubilife, and is not allowed help on the excuse that it could cause war. Volo is insistent that he has a place for her to stay, but she doesn’t truly trust him. She gets past the lake trials alone. Fights, quells, and catches Palkia, Dialga and Giratina. (Volo was too slow). But as she walks down the other side of the mountain while the sky clears, exhausted from the fights, she unknowingly walks into the territory of an Alpha Garchomp. Well, now there are some Zorua’s that seem to be nice. Huh.

Rei’s gossip train: Rei is a little gossip. Some love it and some hate it. Today Kamado is going to understand why people hate it. On a completely definitely unrelated note, Kamado is balding.

From beach to beach: Akari goes to Sinnoh’s temple for the last time. She gets a quest to go to Paldea. She awakes at a beach, meeting a person a little too eager to battle her. And a little grass cat joins her on this new journey. (The start of a larger story.)

A magical messenger: Akari was given a special ability, to be able to travel to the future, for 5 hours once a week. She had decided to use this to be able to give Warden Ingo’s “Man In White” messages from Ingo. But how will the man in white react to this? Who knows. But the almighty gave her the ability to know where his house is. And Ice cream is awesome. ——Emmet has been receiving some weird letters. They look like verrry old letters and have a weird stamp. They seem to be addressed to a man in white, and from. Warden Ingo? Well that is a weird coincidence, right? Ingo? A warden? What even is a warden? And who is delivering these messages?

Take a break beloved fallers: In Sinnoh (Hisui) 1678, a hero completes her quest. Now she and her dad can go home. In Unova 2023, two gym leaders and a subway boss waits for someone in black. There is a light on a broken temple. There is a light in the middle of a tunnel. These things are connected.

Hero: Legendary hero of Hisui. Immortal. Can be visible/in human form or be invisible/in ghost form. 6ft tall. 17??. Has a Lucario always by his side. Always wears a Lucario mask. Cryptic. No one except for the protag usually see’s them. Gender fluid/ doesn’t care about gender or pronouns. Call them what you want. Pokemon fear them, and even alphas know better than to attack him. Can understand pokemon now. Light greyish brownish hair that is in a long braid. Wears a tunic that looks like a mixture of the old Pearl and Diamond clan tunic, along with a torn up red cape. Can summon the original noble pokemon. Has Arceus’s blessing.

Pan Pan! My self insert, kinda. Not quite though. She is in all the games I have. Aka, (in order) Pokemon Violet, pokemon legends Arceus, Pokemon snap, and pokemon sword. She has purple, shoulder length hair that is slightly floofy. Very friendly and caring towards others. Forgiving, but never forgets. Catches WAY too many pokemon. A jack of all trades, master of a few.

I'm doin a lot better honestly! And your Zoroark..yeah uh..while I admit what you did wasn't exactly...acceptable by any means..I understand your intention. So I forgive ya for that.

Anyway, I've left Carmine with my hopes for her. If anyone can save Kiki, its gotta be her..
