Dating Zora Ideale would include:
Merciless pranking whenever you least expect it. Stink bugs under your pillow, pit falls during your training, or something as small as tripping you or flicking your head. Nothing is too much for Zora.
If you give him reactions, he'll keep doing it for the rest of the day. If you ignore him, he'll call you stubborn and ask for cuddles instead.
Doesn't have a lot of positive love in his life right now, so has a difficult time showing he cares. He'll usually nap around you if he's comfortable, or ask you to come see a view with him.
Romantic gestures like dinners and dates around town aren't a necessity to him, as it'll probably take him a while to think of that.
The mask stays on, even when you eventually kiss him. He'll also tease you to no end with the teeth, biting your lip on your first kiss.
Eventually, when he truly feels attached to you, he'll take you to his father's grave. He'll tell his dad all about how amazing you are, and how much you light up his world when you're around him.
He'll occasionally ask for snuggles when he's napping, especially on rainy days because he "wants to keep you warm", when we all know the real reason.
That's my first attempt at headcanons, so let me know what character you want next, or want to give SPICY one's a try 😈

You had never seen him look hungrier. The lust in his eyes was about to swallow you whole as you watched them roll into the back of his head. If there was one thing that Zora Ideale was, it was a giver.
His long fingers dug into the sides of your thighs, making indents that made your head spin. The feeling of his nails sliding down your skin made your head push back into the pillows. The flick of his tongue over your swollen clit pulled a moan from you, your hands gripping the bedsheet just a little harder.
Your knuckles began to turn white as you felt one of his hands move from your thigh to your ass, squeezing with all he had. "F-Fuck, Zora, please."
An evil chuckle filled your ears as he pulled away, all the pleasure disappearing in a second, a devious tone in his voice. "Please? Please what? Why don't you tell me exactly what you want from me?"
You nearly screamed with frustration as you moved your hips toward his face, wanting nothing more than the pleasure to come back. Zora watched as beads of cum ran down the sides of your thighs, licking his lips as he tilted his head with a dastardly grin.
You were so perfect to him, and even more perfect when you couldn't get enough of him.
"N-need you. Please, fuck me with your tongue." The desperation in your voice was almost too much for him as his cock twitched against his sweatpants.
"That's my good girl."
There was no time for you to prepare before the smooth muscles of his tongue pushed inside you with brutal strokes. You were done for, your hips instinctively grinding against his face as his strokes grew more intense, like he was claiming you.
Moans broke free from you as you turned into a deep mess of desire. His tongue moved from your core, flicking at the bundle of nerves, sending electricity through your entire body as your fingers raked through your hair. "Fuck, you feel so good, Zora."
Pressure in your hips built as his mouth sucked on your clit, ecstasy threatening to overtake you as your hips bucked harder and harder. Zora's hand came up and slapped the side of your ass, the final thing you needed as you felt the dam break.
Another slap against your ass and an audible moan leaving Zora, just barely muffled against your heat, sends you over the edge. Your toes curl as your orgasm hits you with a force that is unlike any other.
Half-lidded eyes look back at you as Zora sits up, your arousal dripping from his lips as he hums with contentment. "Good fucking girl."

Men that love manhandling you.
Not just in bed but in general. He loves picking you up, pinning you, carrying you. He does not care if there are others around, he'll still do it. Ya'll arrive home and he picks you up, carries you to the bedroom all while your parents watch.
One time you guys were going on a walk and you were starting to get tired. You say "Baby I'm too tired. Carry me pout" jokingly but then he actually does. He carried you all the way back home, all while people were watching. He didn't care. You're his baby.
He's just so playful with you. He thinks you're so cute and adorable he can't help but pick you up and baby you. After dinner the first thing he'd do is carry you out of your chair and sit you on the counter next to the sink, and then he'll get the plates so he can wash them while you watch.
You'd be modeling some of the cute clothes you bought yourself and on the last one he'll get up and start feeling the fabric on your hips then slowly trace his hands upwards, bringing your arms up and just like that your wrists end up in his grip. And with a smirk, he goes to kiss your neck.
Playfights are always you going at it and him barely even trying and still winning. You'd either be laying on your back pinned by him or laying on your tummy with him caging you. Either way, playfights always lead to him seriously manhandling you.

Jealous
Summary: He and you are in a secret relationship, to avoid the constant remarks and being made fun of (potentially) by the BBs, because they're constantly on each other's cases. But... when he sees you being friendly with another guy in public, he has to act Pairing: Zora x gn!reader Fanfic type: oneshot Length: ~0.6k Contains: Themes of jealousy
Zora Ideale, the first, and only child of the Ideale family, was a clever man; he was a smart man with a lot of spite in him, but he was not a jealous man.
However, he didn’t think that his life was anyone else’s business either. Especially not any of those brats that were running around the Black Bulls’ base day in and day out. Oh he could already imagine it; them making mocking kissy faces and telling bad jokes and just getting onto his nerves whenever you’d be together.
Not a moment of peace…
Because the concept of personal space seemed non-existent on most days. And he couldn’t imagine it to be anything else after you started dating. Which was why he asked if you could keep it low, at least when you were around the Bulls. Maybe also among the general public, because he knew that his looks did certain grab some attention, and it wasn’t the kind of attention that he liked whenever he was spending time with you.
It’d just make your lives more difficult.
Or so he reasoned.
And honestly… you didn’t mind keeping things private. Having dates at the tower where he found solace. Walking around in the woods and having long conversations about anything and nothing in particular. Of course this wouldn’t be a permanent solution, but it worked for now, gave you time alone, time together.
Plus, the few teasing smirks given, hidden from sight, or in plain sight that were meant to tease him, but to tease in more ways than one, were oh so much fun. Because it was always met, after some time of Zora squirming in his tight leather pants, with a heated kiss~
Which is why… perhaps it should have been obvious to the both of you, that on that one day when he saw you casually chatting with a guy in town, he’d lock eyes to the discussion.
It didn’t help at all that you were wearing that one outfit he likes. Or that you were laughing to your heart’s content. Or that he could see a twinkle in the corner of your eye… Or was that the sun? Either way, he couldn’t risk it.
He waltzed over with his hands in his pockets, like he was very much un-bothered by the exchange, while the fact that he intervened spoke of his genuine feelings.
“Hey there bozo,” he started, looking at the guy. “Mind your own business instead of bothering other people,” he said before dropping a stink bug onto him, grabbing your arm, and running away with you.
“Hey! Zora!” You tried while being pulled away by him; and not all too unwillingly for… many reasons…
“What was that about?” You asked, half giggled.
“What?” He glanced over his shoulder after you had run around a corner. “He was bothering you.”
“He wasn’t,” you argued. “I know him and he’s a nice guy.”
“Well… you know what they say about nice guys.”
“*You* are a nice guy!”
“Exactly,” he shrugged.
You stared at him for a moment that must’ve been just a few seconds, but felt much longer than that. After which you straightened your posture, but gave him a smirk. “Oh… So… it had nothing to do with me being friendly with someone else, hm? You being jealous, hm?”
“I don’t get jealous baby.”
You gave him a look, shrugged, and turned around. “I guess I’ll continue my discussion then.”
“No chance,” he grabbed your arm, earning another grin from you.
“Awww, someone *is* jealous…”
He looked away with furrowed brows, but kept his lips sealed tightly.
Which in itself told you enough.
He was jealous. He just wasn’t… quite yet ready to admit it out loud.

First (A Black Clover Fic)
Kaiser Granvorka is a quiet man, a humble man, a man who doesn’t take risks. Until one day, he takes the biggest risk of all—to accept the first commoner into the Magic Knights.
Kaiser Granvorka & Zara Ideale Friendship. (Also features Kaiser Granvorka/His Wife and Wholesome Parent-Child Relationships Zara & Zora Ideale and Kaiser & Billie (OC) Granvorka)
Rated T for heavy themes and angst. Warnings for death, grief, and heavy themes (Please mind the AO3 tags).
A/N: A quick shoutout and many thanks to my friend & Zora-enthusiast, @f-oighear Strangely enough I think reading your amazing Grossberg Law Offices fic somehow broke my writer's block and inspired me to write this despite it being from a totally different fandom so I wanted to say thank you! 💜 Also Marv and Kaiser friendship crossover when??
Link to the work on AO3
3,493 Words. Full Fic Text Below the Cut. Thank you for reading!
“Examinee 129, please step forward.”
There was a derisive snicker barely masked by a half-cough to Kaiser’s left. He didn’t turn to see whose it was though he heard his vice-captain huff. She turned her head, no doubt to glare daggers at whoever it was.
Kaiser sighed. Maris had much less patience for the haughty, pretentious, and often patronizing attitudes of many of the Magic Knights and much less restraint in expressing her disapproval of such behavior. He could almost hear her now: You don’t have to raise your hand for every applicant, but you don’t have to be rude and maliciously superior about it.
While Kaiser agreed with her, he did not see the point in expressing his own displeasure, especially at a Magic Knights’ Entrance Exam which he believed merited a certain level of decorum. Besides, a glare from him wasn’t going to change anything. In Kaiser’s opinion, it was much better and more effective to lead by example—show respect to everyone: royal, noble, or commoner.
Kaiser sighed again. It seemed this opinion was grossly unpopular.
As Examinee 129 stepped forward, there were even more condescending sniffs and snorts from both the Magic Knight gallery and the other entrance exam applicants. Maris huffed again, crossing her arms, but she turned towards the examinee and offered him a sympathetic smile. She no doubt recognized him. Kaiser did himself, after all. He was pretty hard to forget: tall, muscular, with unruly, bright red hair, and a beaming smile and most memorable of all, the fact he was a commoner who had participated in over a decade of Magic Knights Entrance Exams.
Kaiser had to admit the man’s fortitude was admirable. No matter how many times he pushed himself to his limit in the entrance exam and stood before the Magic Knight captains only to be rejected, he still returned year after year having improved and grown stronger. Truthfully, this had been his best year yet—the first time he had been won his duel. Kaiser supposed he had had a type advantage which contributed to his victory, but still…a commoner besting a noble at all was practically unheard of and, as far as he knew, a first in the entire history of the Magic Knights.
The examinee should be proud of such an accomplishment, and as he raised his head towards the captains’ gallery and smiled, it appeared he was. Kaiser’s mouth twitched in its corners, a subtle sign of his approval before the examination arena grew silent as they awaited what was likely to be yet another announcement of “no hands.”
Despite Examinee 129’s feat, the truth was he still lacked the magical prowess of the majority of the other applicants, many of whom had already been rejected from the Magic Knights’ selection. Even if Kaiser’s fellow captains hadn’t prejudicially ruled him out simply for being a peasant, they likely would have rejected him anyway for his abilities alone or out of the fear that his potential would eventual plateau far earlier than a knight with a strong, magical pedigree and more training. It was unfair, but the fact of the matter was that a Magic Knight squad simply could not take everyone and no Magic Knight squad had ever taken a commoner. It was too much of a risk. There was no telling if this examinee would even have what it takes to be a Magic Knight.
Kaiser felt a hand gripping his shoulder. He looked up at Maris who was still standing at his side. Tilting her head, she pushed a piece of scraggly, dark hair out of her face and quirked an eyebrow at him. Her blue eyes narrowed, and Kaiser fidgeted, suddenly, and somewhat irrationally, concerned that she could somehow read his mind. He could almost hear her again—countering his reservations: There’s more to being a Magic Knight than just raw power, and he has something no one else here has.
He couldn’t argue with her, especially when she was right. He let out a conciliatory sigh, and Maris’ mouth twitched into a triumphant smirk. Still, he shook his head. Even if this examinee’s heart and fortitude were without equal amongst his peers, it would still be a risk to select him for their squad, and Kaiser was a quiet, humble man. He was not one to take such risks—to rock the boat, to do what had never been done before.
Surely, Maris knew this. Even if she was not like him—was bold, fearless, and unafraid of risks—she had to at least understand that not every risk could be taken. There was something to be said for prudence, for thoughtfulness, for planning.
The expression in his eyes tried to compromise with her. Perhaps, next year after the examinee had trained a little more and become even stronger and Kaiser himself could work up the courage to do something so radical and revolutionary…
His thoughts were abruptly cut off as he felt Maris’ grip tighten on his shoulder. Somehow this gesture said louder than any words: “You know it’s the right thing to do. Raise your hand or I’ll never forgive you.”
Kaiser sighed. He felt her ultimatum was a bit over the top, but she was nothing if not relentless. Her grip tightened even more—her long fingernails digging into his shoulder blade until she finally felt his arm move.
Immediately, the examination arena filled with shocked gasps and appalled whisperings. Even Examinee 129 looked utterly flabbergasted—blinking at Kaiser’s raised hand until the exam moderator eventually, somewhat perplexedly stumbled his way through “The…uh…Purple Orcas?” He didn’t sound sure about that—a fact which seemed to make Maris chuckle or perhaps it was just that she was pleased.
When there was no correction, Kaiser heard a gasp from his left. He knew better than to look at the probably confused and possibly horrified faces of his fellow Magic Knight captains. Instead he met the eyes of Examinee 129. He looked relieved, proud, and grateful beyond words, and when he beamed at him, Kaiser smiled back at him: the first commoner to become a Magic Knight.
At the end of the exam, Kaiser tried his best to quickly and quietly exit the examination arena without drawing too much attention to himself. He was sure the other captains would have a lot to say about his decision to allow a commoner to join the Magic Knights for the very first time ever, but he didn’t care to hear it. There was nothing he could say to help them understand his reasoning anyway. It was a risk—and one that drew far too much attention to himself than the humble Kaiser would have wanted—but with any luck, his new recruit would prove that it was one worth taking. With any luck, he would earn the respect of the other Magic Knights by working hard and honing his magical abilities. Only then they would truly see the errors of their narrow-mindedness.
“Captain Granvorka, sir. I’m Zara Ideale.” His new recruit held out his hand to him. It was jittery, shaking a little whether out of excitement or nervousness, or perhaps both, Kaiser couldn’t be entirely sure, but he shook it with a curt nod. “This is such an honor. Thank you for giving me a chance, sir.”
Zara continued to shake his hand exuberantly. Was he ever going to let go? Kaiser wondered.
He sighed, feeling somewhat sheepish. Humbly he admitted, “You really should be thanking my wife.”
“Oh yes, of course, sir.” Zara nodded enthusiastically, but his brow furrowed in confusion before Kaiser tilted his head towards the somewhat smug Maris.
“She’s also your vice-captain.”
Maris waved, but teasingly corrected, “You should’ve led with that. I’ve been your vice-captain far longer than I’ve been your wife.” She chuckled but turned to shake Zara’s hand. “It’s nice to meet you, Zara. Welcome aboard.”
“Very excited and honored to be here, Ma’am,” replied Zara shaking Maris’s hand even more exuberantly. “Really, it means so much to me to be given this opportunity to serve and protect my kingdom and to prove myself as a Magic Knight.” Somehow his beaming smile grew even wider. “And to show my boy—my son, Zora—that he can do anything he sets his mind to—doesn’t matter where he’s come from.”
Kaiser’s expression softened, and Maris smiled as she said, “You were really extraordinary out there. I’m sure your son would be proud.”
Kaiser nodded in agreement. “Your magic is impressive. Your fortitude and resilience even more so. I think you’ll be an asset to the Magic Knights.”
Zara beamed at them and finally released Maris’ hand in order to stand at attention and salute them. “Thank you. I promise I won’t let you down!”
*-*-*
He didn’t let them down—not once. Like with most things, Maris was right. Selecting Zara Ideale for their squad quickly proved a risk worth taking. He worked harder than anyone else in the Purple Orcas. He was always the first to volunteer for any mission, trained longer and harder than anyone, and, as Kaiser had suspected at the entrance exam, showed a resilience unlike anyone else on their squad. Even injuries did not stop him. He begged to be released from the infirmary and let back out into the field with broken ribs, sprained joints, twisted ankles, and even a broken arm—a request that Kaiser had promptly rejected. No matter what happened, he was always laughing, always kept an energetic and positive attitude, and, perhaps, most admirable of all, he was willing to risk his life for anyone in need: comrade or civilian—even the ones who were open in their dislike of him and their disapproval of a commoner Magic Knight.
Kaiser knew there was even such discontent on their squad, as they had, of course, expected. He had immediately and matter-of-factly declared that while he respected the right of his subordinates to disagree with his decision to allow a commoner onto their squad, he would not tolerate any in-fighting, friction, or mistreatment of Zara on account of his background and he expected the Purple Orcas to act respectfully and work together as normal. He liked to think that his squad had agreed due to their own character or willingness to grow as people—failing that, out of respect for him as their captain, at least. If Kaiser had to guess, however, it was most likely Maris’ fervent promise to give the boot to anyone who had a problem with that policy and her accompanying fierce scowls that quieted most of the disagreement.
Still, Kaiser was not stupid. He knew that just because it was quiet, didn’t mean it wasn’t there. Luckily and admirably, Zara never let it bother him and tried his best to earn the respect of his fellow squad members. Kaiser liked to think he had succeeded in that, at least a little. After all, there was no uptick in discontent following the retirement of Maris and her death glares. It made Kaiser hopeful that Zara would continue to win over the Orcas and the rest of the Magic Knight squads, even after Kaiser himself was gone.
Truthfully, he had been considering permanent retirement ever since his daughter was born, but it was only a terrible injury that forced him to realize he was no longer in his prime and to confront his mortality.
“Captain, sir. What are you doing out of bed?”
Zara’s exuberant voice pulled Kaiser out of his thoughts. Whipping around to look at him made his dislocated shoulder ache—made him feel old, useless. He stifled a groan of pain.
“It’s alright. I just wanted some fresh air and quiet time to think.”
“What are you thinking about?” Zara asked as he helped him over to a nearby bench in the hospital courtyard.
Kaiser sighed, but his expression softened affectionately as he said, “My wife and daughter.”
Zara smiled himself and laughed lightly as he dug for something in his pocket. “That reminds me—I have a doll for Billie.” He handed Kaiser a little rag doll—a Magic Knight from the looks of it with a shiny cape and long sage-green hair just like his little girl. Kaiser couldn’t help but smile.
“Thank you, Zara. I’m sure she’ll love it, but you really didn’t have to do this.”
“She seemed so upset when she visited you—was really worried and scared,” he explained with a shake of his head. “So I started making her a doll to help distract her. I hadn’t finished it until tonight, but I thought it might help her feel better until you’re all healed up and released. I’m not the most crafty, but my boy, Zora”—he beamed just talking about him—“always liked the doll I made him. It always made him happy or at least made him laugh.”
There was something about the love that Zara had for his son that warmed Kaiser’s heart. He hoped to have that same kind of relationship with his own daughter one day, but…
His face fell and he swallowed hard. He knew he wouldn’t be able to have that if he was never around and was always worrying her by putting himself in harm’s way. And he definitely wouldn’t if he was dead.
“Is something the matter, sir?” asked Zara, and Kaiser sighed heavily. He considered shrugging the whole matter off, but then he remembered how no one had been more excited at Kaiser’s announcement that had become a father than Zara, how Zara always asked after his dear little Wilhelmina or “Billie” as her mother had so affectionately nicknamed her, and how Zara always said that being a father was a greatest gift life had to offer. Surely, he of all people would understand why Kaiser wanted to leave the Magic Knights to spend time with his little girl and be a part of her childhood.
“I think it might be time for me to retire,” he admitted matter-of-factly as his injured shoulder throbbed with pain despite Dr. Owen’s best efforts to put him back together again. “You’re not as spry as you used to be, Kaiser,” he had warned him. “Be careful out there.”
“Because of your injury?” asked Zara, pulling him out of his thoughts. “I thought Dr. Owen said you’d recover.”
“This time,” mumbled Kaiser with a somewhat imbittered nod.
After a pause, he let out a long breath. “It’s selfish,” he admitted, almost guiltily. “But I want to see my little girl grow up.”
Kaiser fidgeted, but something in Zara’s face brought him pause. His expression was so kind—so understanding as he smiled at him.
“That’s noble too,” he said as he leaned back on his hands and glanced up at the starry night sky. “I mean, I love being a Magic Knight—it’s my dream, always has been, but my son”—his voice trailed, grew wistful—“he is the greatest joy of my life and there is nothing better in this world than getting to be his dad.” He beamed but shifted, scratching the back of his neck with a laugh. “I’m not a perfect father, by any means, but all we can do is try our best to be the dads our kids deserve right? And while I might have a lot of regrets about a lot of things, I don’t regret one second I got to spend with him.”
Zara paused and turned to look Kaiser square in the face, right in the eyes. “That time is precious, and I can’t imagine a greater tragedy than a parent who doesn’t get to see their child grow up.”
A bittersweet smile tugged at Kaiser’s lips as he looked away to stare down at the doll Zara had thoughtfully made for his daughter. As strange as it was, he felt relieved—thankful, somehow, to have permission to do what he knew was the right thing even if it was a risk. So it always seemed to be in his life—he needed someone else there, Maris or Zara, to give him that final push in the right direction.
“Thank you,” he said with a nod, thankful for the what had to be the hundredth time that he had taken that risk and let Zara onto his squad—that Zara Ideale, one of the greatest men he had ever had the pleasure to know, was the first commoner ever to become a Magic Knight. He didn’t quite have to the words to say it, but he hoped that he knew that and knew how much his encouragement meant to him.
Whether he did or not, Kaiser couldn’t be sure because, per usual, Zara merely laughed and smiled at him—patting his shoulder, though thankfully his non-injured one. However, there was something almost bittersweet in his voice when he said, “We’re really gonna miss you, Captain.”
*-*-*
After Kaiser’s retirement, Zara kept in touch through letters. Kaiser appreciated the chance to get to hear how his former squad member was doing, even though most of his letters consisted of stories about his son, Zora, and how proud he was of him. Kaiser couldn’t complain. After all, he spent a majority of his letters writing about own wife and daughter, the prides and joys of his life. He never regretted his decision to retire—to spend more time with them, to be a part Billie’s childhood and watch her grow.
Well…never regretted it except once. When a final letter came—not from Zara but from an old comrade from the Purple Orcas, someone brave enough to tell him the truth.
He had been sitting in the garden watching Billie try to water the flowers with little gusts of rainclouds made by her magic, when Maris ran out with a letter clutched in her fist. The tears in her eyes made him assume the worst, but even then he was unprepared—could never have imagined something so cruel, so heartless from the squad he would have given his life to protect.
“It’s not your fault,” Maris insisted.
“Isn’t it?” Kaiser’s eyes burned as he stared at the letter, at the words too painful to read. “I put him on that squad. I knew what they’d think of him.”
“You couldn’t have known they’d kill him,” she interrupted, more forcefully than Kaiser would have liked. “And those men that did—they weren’t ours. They were new recruits, after our time. You would’ve never let them be Orcas.”
“Exactly.” His voice was cold, matter-of-fact. It didn’t feel like his. “I left—I left him there knowing what the Magic Knights were like—how little they thought of commoners. I thought he could earn their respect…but they killed him.” His voice hitched. He felt like he couldn’t breathe. “And it’s my fault. I was selfish—I wasn’t there to protect him.”
Maris let out a long shaky breath. Hot tears streamed down her cheeks as she shook her head. “Then it’s both our faults. We knew it was a risk but still, we let him onto our squad—made him the first commoner to ever become a Magic Knight. And then we just left him there like a lamb to the slaughter.”
Despite her biting delivery, the final words got garbled in the back of her throat. He knew she felt far more guilty than angry.
Abruptly, Kaiser turned away. The old injury in his shoulder ached, but he didn’t care. He couldn’t look at her. Couldn’t stand the sight of her in pain.
Instead, he looked up at the sky. The dark swirling rainclouds Billie had made suddenly felt appropriate.
Something panged in his chest at the thought of his Billie, his dear little girl. He looked over at his daughter—blissfully unaware, still laughing as she skipped around the garden. His eyes caught sight of her favorite doll, a handmade gift from a dear old friend who had tenderly crafted this toy for a little girl scared to death of losing her papa.
Something cold, wet, and unwanted trickled down his cheek as he thought of that poor young boy all alone out there in the world who had just lost his beloved papa forever.
He couldn’t stop the tears as he remembered Zara’s words clear, as the day he had said them: I can’t imagine a greater tragedy than a parent who doesn’t get to see their child grow up.
Thanks to Zara, Kaiser would get to see his child grow up—to change, age, maybe even become a Magic Knight herself, but thanks to him, Zara never would.
The first commoner to become a Magic Knight would never come home.
Kaiser clutched his chest and curled forward. His wife caught him in her arms, and they wept. How could this have possibly been worth the risk? And who were they to say that it was?

Hi sweetheart thank you for requesting this! <3 I'm sorry it took so long but Merry Christmas!!
Also I love this request, it's kinda new for me although yes I do get turned on by voices and dirty talks („ಡωಡ„)
brb cause i'm feeling the heat writing this piece. Characters: Yami, Zora, Magna x f! reader tw: nsfw, dirty talking, maybe degrading, minors dni, unchecked works
Yami Sukehiro
This man is the king of dirty talking. Yea, all that man does is talk shit in his fucking sexy low gruffy voice.
But he knows he's good at it. He knows his effect one you. And boy is he going to use it to his advantage in bed all the time, he won't stop from the start till the end.
One moment he's taunting you, "oh, can't get enough of me, princess?" "you're clenching onto me so tightly" "I just got in and you're cumming? again?"
The next moment he's all praises like he's so drunk on you, "fuck, what a pretty angel." "good girl taking me so well now,"
But whatever he says he can feel your hungry and weeping cunt swallowing whatever he's thrusting into you. He loves it and absolutely gets on from it.
When Yami's mad at you, boy oh boy you gotta get ready for a little degrading, girl.
"does ____ know you get all wet like this for me? You pussy is leaking just from me touching you like this?"
"So you wanna show everyone how slutty you can be, princess? Better be able to take it."
The fact that he could make you a hot wet mess, and the fact that you want to hear him praise, tease or scold you, and how you cum oh so hard from all of this, he's fucking intoxicated with just the idea of it. And let's face it, he's a hot mess for you too. ;)
Zora Ideale
Can't say anything nice and sometimes it ticks you off but he's just so fucking good at it you can't help but just be a good girl for him.
"Cumming already? my girl so needy huh?"
Slows down just as you're reaching your high and just shrugs, "hmm? the nights still early babe."
Keeps you waiting because he loves it when you get annoyed but then your desires get over you and you whine just for him.
"wanna cum?" "you know i love it when you bite that lower lip,"
"tell me, what you want, in your big girl words,"
and then he finally lets you cum, and you jolt from the wave of euphoria, he loves watching you roll your eyes and curse at him.
"i got you baby, I got you,"
And that won't be the end.
Loves edging you on because he absolutely knows his power over you. His mission is to make you cum multiple times until you squirt.
"one more baby, one more for me, wanna see you squirt all over me," he would lick the shell of your ear while pounding into you.
he's just so annoying but yet your body just reacts to him and you just reach your high again and again.
Magna Swing
Doesn't look like it but he likes to whisper dirty things in your ear at random times of the day.
But oh his moans and groans are so fucking sexy. You make him feel so good and he doesn't hide the way you intoxicate him.
"fuck baby, you're so tight fr me..." his words would slur and his tone goes one tone lower.
he whimpers a little when you go down on him, "hngg.. my good girl.."
he loves being in a position that he can be close to your ears and he says all the filth because he knows how much you like it.
he would be behind you, thrusting into you, "moan louder baby, i love it when you moan for me."
"yea? that feels good huh? you want more?"
"go on, cum on my dick, milk me baby."
and whenever you cum, he goes into a frenzy.
"hnngg, so good huh? mhmm, so tight, so fucking tight, my good girl..." he would go into a low growl.
he has great stamina as well, and would keep asking you to go for rounds.
"you say you can't, but you're already clenching on me again, love." he would press kisses to your shoulders and neck.
"one more? you can do it baby, my good angel. one more."
of course you would, with the way his voice melts you, how can you not?

Zora Ideale x reader
“Id let the world burn.. let the world burn for you”
Fluff (sweet sweet romance).
Tw: battle
In the kingdom of Clover, nestled deep within a shadowy forest, a secluded hideout glowed faintly beneath the star-lit sky. Zora Ideale was leaning against the moss-covered walls, arms crossed, a familiar smirk on his face as he looked at Y/N.
"You really think you’re cut out for this, huh?" he teased, his eyes flickering with mischief. Despite his taunts, there was a sharpness to his gaze—a certain intensity that told Y/N he was dead serious.
Y/N met his gaze, unwavering. “I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t.”
The mission they’d taken on was nothing short of reckless. A powerful rogue mage was terrorizing a nearby village, his fire-based spells blazing through crops, homes, and people without mercy. Rumor had it he’d mastered a rare form of destructive magic, one powerful enough to incinerate entire landscapes in seconds. The Magic Knights hadn’t been able to get close to him, but Zora, with his traps and cunning, had a plan—one that might be crazy enough to work.
Zora pushed himself off the wall, studying Y/N with an almost begrudging admiration. “Alright, then. Just remember, this guy doesn’t play nice. If things get bad, I’m not dragging your charred remains out of there.”
Y/N rolled their eyes. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
---
The night of the mission was darker than any they’d seen, the air heavy with an ominous energy. The village lay in ruins, embers glowing like fallen stars. The rogue mage stood in the center, flames swirling around him as if he commanded hell itself.
Zora and Y/N crept through the shadows, moving in sync as they approached. Zora’s traps were already laid out, hidden in the soil, branches, and rocks that surrounded the mage. The plan was simple: draw him into the traps, wear him down, and neutralize his fire magic before he could set the entire forest ablaze.
As they edged closer, the mage’s voice echoed across the field. “More vermin? Don’t you know this kingdom is destined to burn?” He raised his hands, summoning pillars of fire that twisted into the night sky.
Another rogue mage emerged from the shadows, flames dancing in his hands as he sneered at them. “More sacrifices to the fire? Pathetic,” he spat, raising his hands as a wall of flame surged forward.
“Guess he’s not big on friendly chats,” Zora muttered. He caught Y/N’s eye, nodding subtly. “You ready?”
Y/N gave a fierce grin, hands sparking with their own magic. They dashed forward, sending a blast of energy toward the mage, a distraction just as Zora’s first trap exploded beneath him, sending flames scattering.
The mage stumbled, and for a brief moment, surprise flashed across his face. He steadied himself, snarling. “You think a few cheap tricks are going to stop me?”
“Oh, these aren’t just any cheap tricks,” Zora called, smirking. He moved swiftly, his traps surrounding the mage like a net tightening around its prey. Each step the mage took was another explosion, another snare drawing him in, slowing him down.
But the mage was relentless, his fire blazing brighter and hotter with each step. “If I’m going down,” he growled, “I’m taking all of you with me. Ill burn this place down!!”
In that moment, he released a massive wave of fire that scorched the ground, threatening to overtake them. Y/N shielded their face, heart pounding as the flames closed in. They glanced at Zora, who was already muttering under his breath, cursing the mage’s raw power.
“Got any last ideas?” Y/N shouted over the roar of the flames.
Zora grinned, his eyes glinting. “Just one.”
With that, he unleashed a final trap—a massive sigil he’d crafted from all his remaining power, one designed to absorb and reflect magic. The fire turned back on the mage, who stumbled in shock as his own flames engulfed him.
The firestorm subsided, the mage’s screams fading into silence. Zora panted, wiping sweat from his brow. He turned to Y/N, who was breathing heavily but very much alive.
“Told you we’d make it,” he said, his smirk softer this time.
Y/N laughed, exhaustion catching up with them as they gazed at the smoldering ruins of the village. “Yeah. But let’s not make this a habit.”
Zora chuckled, glancing out over the burnt land, his expression uncharacteristically thoughtful. "Maybe we can’t save everyone. But at least, tonight, we stopped one more from letting the world burn to a crisp."
Y/N met his gaze, understanding the unspoken weight in his words. They both knew that, as long as people like that rogue mage existed, they’d be fighting to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves.
In the stillness of a smoky battlefield, embers floated through the darkening sky, casting a soft glow across the destruction. Zora Ideale and Y/N stood side by side, shoulders brushing as they faced the chaos ahead. The village behind them was in ruins, and the rogue mage responsible was lurking somewhere beyond the haze, a figure in the distance draped in shadow and power.
Zora’s usual cocky smirk was absent, replaced with a focused intensity that seemed almost out of character. He was rarely one to get sentimental, but right now, as he looked at Y/N, something inside him shifted. He couldn’t quite place it, but there was a strange, fierce protectiveness that had been growing with each passing day, each mission they’d taken on together.
Y/N shook their head, soft look etched on their face. “You really think I’d leave you there alone?”
Zora gritted his teeth, glancing away as though he could hide the faint hint of vulnerability in his eyes. “Don’t be stupid. This isn’t about heroics. It’s about surviving.”
Without a second thought, Zora pushed Y/N behind him, raising his own traps as a shield, his anti-magic arrays sparking to life. The flames struck his magic circles and dispersed, but the impact was strong enough to make him stumble. He glanced back at Y/N, a strange fire in his own gaze. From the other mange that they seemingly forgot about.
“Listen to me,” he said, his voice thick with an edge Y/N had never heard before. “I know you want to stay. I get it. But I’d let the world burn before I let anything happen to you.”
Y/N blinked, taken aback by the intensity in his words. They’d seen Zora angry, bitter, and mischievous, but they’d never seen him like this—like he was willing to set everything around him ablaze if it meant keeping them safe.
“Zora…” Y/N began, but he cut them off, stepping forward and raising another set of traps around the rogue mage, boxing him in.
“I’m not leaving you to handle this alone,” Y/N insisted, standing at his side, their own magic flaring in the dim light.
He shot them a quick, hard look, but there was something else there—something raw and unspoken. “Fine,” he muttered, “but you stick with me, understand?”
Together, they charged, weaving through flames and traps, their powers combining in perfect sync. The rogue mage screamed, thrashing against Zora’s traps and Y/N’s attacks, but he was growing weaker, his flames dimming. But as he fell back, he unleashed a final, massive blast of fire—a desperate move to take them all down with him.
Time seemed to slow as Zora turned to Y/N, eyes fierce and wild. He knew this blast could wipe out everything, and if it came to it, he was ready to shield them, to stand in the flames and keep them safe even if it meant sacrificing himself.
But Y/N met his gaze with a look just as intense. “Together,” they whispered, their hand finding his.
The firestorm hit, but with Zora’s last trap and Y/N’s barrier, they managed to deflect it just enough to survive. When the flames finally died down, Zora was breathing heavily, staring at the charred ground, his hand still gripping Y/N’s tightly.
“I wasn’t kidding, y’know,” he said quietly, his voice barely audible. “I’d let the world burn before I let anything happen to you.”
Y/N squeezed his hand, a small, grateful smile tugging at their lips. “Good thing we’re both a little reckless, then.”
And as the embers faded into the night, they stood together, side by side, knowing that, for each other, they would face any fire, even if it meant watching the world burn.
After the dust had settled and the rogue mage was nothing more than a smoldering memory, Zora and Y/N made their way back to the Black Bulls’ hideout. The journey was quiet, neither of them quite knowing what to say after what had just happened. The intensity of the fight, of Zora’s words, still lingered between them like a charge in the air. It felt like they were walking through sparks, each step building toward something they both felt but hadn’t acknowledged aloud.
By the time they reached the Black Bulls’ base, the rest of the squad was asleep, and the hideout was dark and quiet, save for the occasional flickering candle lighting the hallways. Zora led Y/N to a secluded corner of the base, somewhere away from prying eyes, somewhere only the two of them would go. The adrenaline of the battle was fading, replaced by an even stronger pull between them.
Zora turned to Y/N, the faint candlelight casting shadows across his face, making his usual smirk softer, almost vulnerable. His eyes locked onto theirs, and he reached out, brushing his fingertips over a stray bruise on their cheek from the fight. His hand lingered there, his thumb moving softly along their skin, his gaze intense.
“You really had me worried back there,” he murmured, his voice low, almost a whisper. “I meant what I said, you know…about letting the world burn for you.”
Y/N looked up at him, their breath hitching at the way he was looking at them—so fierce, so raw, as if they were the only thing in the world. Slowly, they reached up, placing their hand over his, feeling the warmth of his skin against theirs.
“Zora…I know,” they replied, their voice equally quiet, as if afraid to break the tension hanging between them.
Without thinking, Zora leaned in, his breath warm against their skin. “You have a way of getting under my skin, you know that?”
Y/N gave a small, teasing smile. “Guess that makes two of us.”
That was all the encouragement he needed. In an instant, Zora closed the distance, his lips capturing theirs in a kiss that was intense and full of unspoken words, a release of everything they’d been holding back. The kiss was fierce, but gentle, his hands finding their way to their waist, pulling them closer, as if he couldn’t bear for even an inch to separate them.
Y/N responded with equal fervor, fingers tangling in his hair as they pressed closer, losing themselves in the moment. They’d never seen Zora like this—vulnerable, open, his usual bravado stripped away, replaced with a genuine need that made their heart race.
He pulled back just slightly, his forehead resting against theirs, breathing heavily as he looked into their eyes. His voice was rough, laced with something that bordered on desperation. “I don’t know what you’ve done to me, Y/N…but I don’t care anymore.”
In that quiet, hidden corner of the Black Bulls’ base, they held each other close, letting the walls around them disappear. For once, Zora let down his guard completely, allowing himself to feel, to embrace the connection that had been building between them all this time. It wasn’t just about the fight, or even the fact that they’d survived. It was about the way they’d found something worth protecting, something worth risking it all for.
They stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, savoring the warmth, the closeness, the way they seemed to fit together so perfectly. And in that moment, in the dim light of the hideout, they knew that no matter what battles awaited them, they would face them together.

Snow and Cuddels.
Word count:1333
Paring: Zora Ideale x reader
Summary: Snow day turned into cuddles with the best prankster who is allergic to wearing a shirt.
Warnings: Not much, cursing, mentions of colds and frostbite, maybe ooc Zora
A/n: Hello everyone, I hope you enjoy this. I am aware some of the bulls are not mentioned, i just couldn’t think of what to have them doing. Also this is my first time writing for Zora so it may be a little off, I’m hoping with this event to write for more fandoms and maybe get some requests in as well, but who knows. Anyway, have fun, enjoy and remember to Hydrate or Diedrate.
Winter has finally arrived in the Clover Kingdom, and I couldn’t be happier. Playing in the snow with friends and family, baking cookies and making candy, and drinking hot chocolate, just some of the many fun things to do when winter hits. And of course today was the first day that there was a decent amount of snow, and Captain Yami kindly gave all of us at the Black Bulls hideout the day off.
Charmy decided she’s going to be baking and cooking all day, Vanessa is already passed out drunk, Magna and Luck are fighting over whatever one of them did this time, Gouache is well being Gouche, Gordon is trying to hang with gouache but is just being creepy, and Gray is hiding from everything. The more rambunctious and childish of the group were outside in the snow, this included Asta trying to get Noelle to participate in a snowball fight, Finral has made a snow person he’s practicing his flirting with. That just leaves Me and my grumpy boyfriend who just wants to go inside because ‘shit it’s cold out here’, I’m trying to get him to enjoy the chilly weather but Zora being well himself refuses to, I don't know, put on a shirt and try to enjoy this free time.
“Come on, Y/n why do you want to be out here it’s freezing. Why don’t we go lay down and cuddle? Or steal whatever Charmy has made for the day, we could also mess up Gouche’s creepy sister shrine again.” I turned to the red head slouched against the wall, rolling my eyes at him in response. “What are you even doing over there? It’s just snow, what can you possibly be doing with it?” He asked, pushing off the wall, moving to look over my shoulder.
I lend further over my creation to hide it from him. “You don’t get to see it until it’s done. If you don’t want to be out here, you can go in if you want. If you really want to mess with the others, have fun, I’m enjoying it out here.” I tried to tell him he didn’t have to stay out here.
“You know it’s not as fun if you’re not helping, plus you know where Vanessa hides her booze. Plus you could get sick if you stay out here too long.” Zora said, still trying to see the snow creation I was working on.
“Why do you want Vanessa’s booze? You know what nevermind with that, but seriously if you want to go inside you can, I won’t blame you. I just hoped we could do something fun out here, instead of staying cooped up all day. And I won’t get sick, I’ll be fine.” I said, leaning back to show him what I had finished making.
Zora paused processing the drawing I had carved in the patch of flat snow in front of me. It was a crescent moon along the side of one of his trap spells, to represent both of our magics, in the center was our initials. “I know it’s cheesy and won’t last long out here cause it will melt eventually, but it just popped into my head and I need to physically see it and show you. I was thinking we could maybe get it made into necklaces or something?” I explained my thinking. I hoped he understood what I was saying.
“It’s amazing. But why draw it out here in the snow, if you want to get it made into necklaces or something you’re gonna have to draw it again on paper, why not wait till you go inside?” He asked, looking at me quizzically.
I thought for a second before answering. “I just didn’t want to forget it plus, I want to stay out here as long as possible. Since I finished, would you want to pummel Asta with some snow balls?” I asked knowing he would want to cause some kind of trouble.
He just groaned at the thought of being in the cold any longer. “Fine but after we bury him in the snow we are going inside and cuddling.” He answered standing up straight and offering me his hand to help me up.
“Deal as long as we get Hot cocoa before cuddles.” I started moving behind a tree close to where Asta was now trying (and failing) to build a snowman. “Let’s hide from him here and make some snowballs, before we launch our attack.” I said bending down and beginning to make some roughly ball shaped clumps of snow to throw at the young boy.
After about ten minutes of making and throwing snowballs at a screaming Asta, and him running over Finral. Zora and I decided it was time to go inside for the rest of the day and finally get some hot chocolate, mostly because Zora’s chest was now bright red from being in the cold for so long while shirtless.
We made our way inside, snagging some cocoa and cookies from Charmy, before heading up to our shared room. I couldn’t help but laugh as the normally grumpy and closed off Zora dropped onto the bed sighing while thanking whoever assigned our room for it having walls without cracks so the cold couldn’t be felt inside it.
“You know if you put on a shirt you wouldn’t be so cold in the winter right?” I asked, raising an eyebrow as I took a sip of my hot cocoa.
He just rolled his eyes standing up and taking his mask off, walking over to me. “If I wore a shirt, you would be robbed of the second best sight known to man. The first being your face after I do this.” I was confused for a moment before he lent in, placing a kiss on my lips, before pulling away with a smirk. “See that’s the face, all shocked and confused.” He said turning back to the bed to pull the covers down. “Stop gaping like a fish and come lay down, I’m still fucking freezing and need your body heat so get over here.” He complained, laying down on his side of the bed having taken off the rest of his flashy clothes opting for a pair of sweatpants, he’s still shirtless but at least he’s under the blankets.
I rolled my eyes moving to kick off my boots while hanging up my coat. Crawling under the covers I was met with very little warmth as Zora’s ice cube off a body sapped all the heat from the bed. “Holy fuck Zora you’re so fuckling cold.” I said moving to cuddle up to him. “I wouldn’t be shocked if you get frostbite or something, damn.” He just chuckled but pulled me closer, sighing at the fact that I was at least a little bit warmer than he was. “Next time we go out in the cold, will you at least wear a coat, it doesn't have to be zipped just enough to keep your arms warmer.” I tried to bargain with him.
He paused before responding. “Fine, but I better get cuddles anyway.” I just nodded, now focused on warming him up while also trying not to fall asleep. “Go ahead and sleep. I'll be fine with you snuggled up to me being a space heater.” He said, rubbing my head. Letting out a yawn, I mumbled a quick I love you before falling asleep. The last thing I heard was Zora’s quiet response. “I love you, too, today was fun even if it was freezing.” He quickly followed suit in sleeping.
The next day when we woke up it became apparent that Zora was right about getting sick staying in the cold. But finally the jokes on him, cause he’s the one to wake up the sniffles and a slight fever. His pouting and grumbling could be heard throughout the hideout as he complained about it the rest of the day.

You love it when he fucks you from behind. It's your favorite position so when he orders you to get on all fours you happily oblige.
You get on your hands and knees and wiggle your ass for him. But all that excitement lead you to being to far into the bed. You're too far.
It's not no problem for him tho.
He reaches out for you hips and pulls you towards him and you gasp in surprise because in that swift motion he dick entered you and begins pounding in and out rough.

Zora Ideale x Princess Reader (bastard of the king)
This is a one shot that I wrote at like 3am cause I needed to write, but didn’t want to touch my other fics at that time. Kinda proofread, and probably (definitely) rushed.
Reader is a magic knight on the Black Bulls squad. After becoming a knight she finds out she’s the kings bastard daughter. Zora gives reader shit endlessly for “being a royal” (in jest). She is kidnapped at a banquet and Zora pursues and rescues her. It gets really found family fluffy at the end btw!
CW: violence, mention of blood, angst, comfort, Fluff
As always, if you’re reading this, then thank you!! I hope you enjoy it!
“Death to the Clover King!” shouts a man in a blood red cloak, standing in the center of the banquet room.
It’s a victory celebration for a recent battle- surrounded by the Magic Knight captains, the top Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom, and your family - The Black Bulls - you don’t expect it.
He rushes you, snaking a meaty hand around your bicep to yank you towards the portal behind him.
“First. We kill his daughter.” turning his mirthless grin to you - teeth bared and hot breath dampening your face.
Almost forgetting - as you so often do - that you are the bastard daughter of the Clover King, and that being a bastard doesn’t protect you from attempts on the King’s life.
Reacting in slow motion, attempting to plant your feet to the marble floor and dropping your weight towards the floor. Flashing light towards him, but knowing your light spells are healing and illusory in nature - they have little effect.
Everything seems to speed up in a second, you are lifted from the floor and tossed towards the portal. As you are falling through the abyss, you can see them - the Black Bulls - faces set in rage as they scramble towards you. Yami and Asta draw their swords, Luck uses his lightning magic to close the distance quickly, Vanessa summoning threads to pull you back -
But then shadows envelop your vision. The scent of damp earth invades your senses, and your skin prickles from cold, musky air.
They didn’t make it in time.
Cautiously peering up from where you crouched on the floor, you see the cloaked man standing above you sporting his cheshire grin. Swallowing thickly, you don’t dare move.
“Why am I not dead yet? That’s what you’re thinking right? Right?” The excitement in his tone is palpable. “Because I plan to use you! If I harness your magic, then I can remove any magic barrier placed on the Kingdom. Filthy Royal. Your disgusting bloodline will destroy this Kingdom.” Throwing his head back he releases a sharp laugh devoid of any warmth from somewhere deep in his gut. When he turns his gaze back to you, his eyes are wild - so wide all you can see are the whites of them and his pupils engulfing the color once there.
Tears pricked your eyes. Opening your mouth to reply, but the words die on your lips.
How can I tell him it’s a title only… He’s beyond being reasoned with…
“Now, without further ado,” he announces, raising a palm towards you, an inky cloud appears and begins to lazily drift towards you.
As the black tendrils brush your skin, excruciating pain flames through your body - eliciting a guttural scream from you and a maniacal roar of laughter from the man.
Suddenly, a magic circle forms by the man’s head, lightning pierces into his face, shooting him to the other side of the room.
Crouching next to you, a familiar crimson haired Knight places a hand on your shoulder - urging you to look at him.
“Oi, Princess. Are you okay?” His tone is as abrasive as always, but you can see the worry in his cobalt eyes.
“Mhm - I’m okay,” whimpering softly in response as you curl in on yourself from the residual pain. Zora noticing - scoots you backwards until you’re sitting with your back pressed to the wall of the cavern. Peering about him, you finally notice that he is alone. The other Black Bulls still weren’t there.
“Don’t worry, they’re on their way. I just snuck through the portal with the two of you.” Speaking gruffly, his gaze has settled on the man - who is pulling himself to his feet across the room - where his cobalt glare remains steady.
The man doesn’t approach but begins shooting shadowy projectiles towards the two of you without warning. Zora chuckles mirthlessly, but you can see his nerves through the confidence - even if the cloaked figure cannot. A vein popping out by his temple and even through the mask, his jaw obviously clenched tight.
Magic Circles appear for each projectile - causing a black mist to fill the room as they are dispersed.
It’s not long before Zora’s trap magic has been used up, and the projectiles begin lodging into the craggy walls behind you.
One flys alarmingly close. Squeezing your eyes shut, you curl in on yourself more and shift to the side to avoid it, but there was no time to completely move out of its path. The terrifying sound of something sharp piercing flesh fills your ears - something warm, wet and iron scented splashes your cheek.
The pain of being stabbed doesn’t come though.
Slowly, as you open your eyes, a mop of fiery red hair blocks your vision. Opening them the rest of the way - Zora comes into view - using his body to cage you against the wall and shield you from the oncoming attacks. A black, wispy arrow lodged in his shoulder, and blood trickles down his back. His face showed the exhaustion of exerting too much mana and his breath came out in short pants, but his eyes.
Those cobalt pools offered no respite - refusing to douse, dampen or extinguish. They simply couldn’t, because right now, they were burning.
Enraged azure flames bored into you - threatening to engulf you right there.
“Why are you trying to save her? Are you such a brainwashed peasant?! Don’t you realize?! She will never be loyal to you! She doesn’t care for you! When you die, do you think she will cry for you? She is a royal. All she will do is beg for the next knight to lay down their life for hers.” The man hisses through gritted teeth as the black tendrils sway wildly in tune with his words.
Zora doesn’t respond as he rises to his full height. No words are exchanged between the two of you - just an indecipherable expression that clouds his face.
The cloaked man’s temper reaches a fever pitch as he fills his side of the room with projectiles aimed at you, and only you. Zora still doesn’t move as they begin to fall all around you, and you don’t move either - barely finding the words in time that have been stuck in your throat since he appeared next to you.
“Z-Zora, run! PLEASE! I don’t want you to die!” choking out the words as tears streamed down your cheeks.
A black arrow pierces your shoulder at top speed, pinning you to the wall. Pain seeps through your being and the smell of metal tickles your nose as the deep well of unconsciousness claims you.
Just before your vision slips into the black, you see Zora’s face, and for a moment you think either the blood rushing in your ears or the light in the cavern is playing tricks on you. Because you are almost certain you see tears streaming down his face too.
Zora turns slowly to face the - now completely unhinged - man responsible for raining arrows down on you. Though tears stained his face, it was all but emotionless.
“I call her Princess, but that doesn’t make her royalty. Not the kind that you and I hate.” Zora’s voice and breathing came out even, the struggle he felt before was all but gone now as his Grimoire flips open to a blank page and writing quickly scrawls over the pages.
The cloaked figure releases an enraged growl, and with a flip of his wrist, the arrows begin descending en masse again. But this time, Zora’s magic circles appear - seemingly - at will, dispersing each arrow into an inky mist.
Adjusting to the new spell, the man starts shooting versatile shots - attempting to shoot you by bending the arrows around Zora.
Again, he is ready for it, as the magic circles begin to shift position to shield you.
The man prepares a counter attack, but Zora stalks toward the man - paying no mind to the raining arrows all around him - closing the distance between them quickly. He connects his right fist directly to the man’s jaw, resulting in a sickening crack that echoes through the cavern.
“Why am I saving her? Brainwashed? Wouldn’t mourn for another?!” Zora steps over the man now lying on the floor - placing a foot on either side of his torso - and grabs him roughly by the collar.
“You came here because you hate the King, and yet you are trying to kill her. What the fuck do you even know about her?!” The words escaped Zora’s throat in strained growls as he landed another deafening blow to the man’s jaw - spraying blood over his face and already crimson hair.
“She’s the King’s bastard daughter. She wasn’t even raised royalty. She’s just a village girl!” He punctuates each word with a blow to the man’s face. Now, the smell of blood was thick, and Zora’s face, arms and torso were dripping crimson.
“And yet, she’s more of a royal than any noble I’ve ever met. She is what royalty should be. She is so goddamn caring,” he snaps, now grasping the man’s collar in both of his hands. “You say she wouldn’t cry for me? She already has! For all of us - regardless of if we are peasant, commoner, or nobility. Hell, you don’t even need to be human for her to shed tears for you. It doesn’t matter to her. It never has.” Zora’s breath fans the man’s now unconscious and broken face.
From the other side of the cavern, a chorus of footsteps approach the room.
“Y/N!!” The Black Bulls shout in unison as they enter the cavern, but quickly take pause at the scene before them. Klaus, Yuno and Mimosa enter shortly after them, only to halt as well.
Finral is the first to open his mouth intending to ask what happened, but doesn’t get the chance.
“Mimosa,” Zora rasps softly, as he turns only his upper body to face them slightly. Face tear stained, with new ones brimming in his eyes. “Save her, please.” His scratchy voice is so soft it’s almost inaudible, but he knows she heard when she turns to you and quickly gets to work.
Klaus and Yuno take care of restraining the man and taking him away for judgment - allowing the Black Bulls to attend to you and Zora.
Of course they all noticed, but chose to not mention it - the masked knight’s uncharacteristic behavior. It’s not like he hasn’t protected his comrades before, but this time… it was more than just protecting your life.
He was defending you. Your life, your values, your character.
He was defending you.
Three Weeks Later
You’ve recovered fully from your injury, but Yami has stalled on sending you out on any missions while the previous event is being investigated. In the meantime you’ve been training in hopes of being able to defend yourself better next time.
In these past few weeks, you’ve noticed that Zora is acting oddly towards you. Usually the masked man would endearingly insult you about being a princess, or the “connections” you have, or just how easy you have it by being royal. You always knew it was in jest, seeing as you actually weren’t raised as royalty.
But recently, he’s been too polite. Conversation staying surface level before he quickly takes his leave. With each occurrence, you start to wonder if he is avoiding you, and your suspicions are confirmed when he turns down every offer to spar with you. Something the two of you did regularly before the incident.
Frustrations reaching a fever pitch, you decide to confront him about it.
Which is how you ended up in the kitchen of the Black Bulls base, Zora’s back to you as he’s cleaning up after a meal, and you in the doorway - trying to locate the courage to speak up.
Turning around, he jumps and inhales sharply when he sees you standing there.
“God, Y/N! I need to put a bell on you,” he chuckles with a shake of his head and for a moment you feel hopeful that the awkwardness is gone.
“Well, I’ll be going then, have a good one!” The crimson haired knight offers with a polite nod as he turns to leave through the external door.
“W-wait!” you blurt out, surprising yourself and him. He turns back to you and leans against the counter.
“Yes? What is it Y/N?” Zora inquires with a tilt of his head and the too polite smile that just isn’t him.
“I-I… Ever since I was taken… you-you’ve been… too polite.” Squeaking out the words as you cast your gaze to the floor, and hug your torso for comfort.
“Too polite? Now that’s not the kind of constructive criticism I’ve gotten before. I mean, shouldn’t that be a good thing?” Again, it’s just too polite. Too easy going. You don’t recognize this mask of his, and you don’t like it.
“Zora, please! Why are you-” inhaling sharply and hissing out the air slowly as you try to get a hold on your quickly rising emotions.
His smile finally flees his face, and his brow creases in worry from your outburst. Clenching your fists at your side and directing your eyes back to his cobalt ones, you continue.
“Can’t you just insult me like normal? Call me a stupid, spoiled royal so we can just be again? I-I… Y-you… you’ve changed how you act towards me, but won’t tell me why, and I just-” your voice begins cracking around the words tearing at your throat.
“Zora, I feel like I’ve done something wrong and I don’t know what because no one will tell me… so if you can’t be normal to me, then just tell me what I did wrong.” Your resolve crumbling on the last word, head hanging low as a silent sob bubbles up in your chest.
Suddenly, he is towering in front of you and pulls you into his chest for a crushing embrace. Burying his face in your neck, so you don’t see, but feel his tears soaking into your cloak and the tiny, gasping sobs falling from his lips.
For a long moment he just holds you - feeling so relieved you're alive and in his arms. He inhales sharply, quieting his sobs, before attempting to speak.
“You almost died Y/N.” He murmurs in your ear, like an abandoned child.
“...yes, but I didn’t… You saved me.” You softly whisper to try and reassure him.
“But I didn’t know I would be able-“ Zora begins again in a strained voice, but another sob cuts him short. His grip tightens around you, as he folds you more into his chest.
“But you did. You saved me.” You whisper reassuringly, wanting so badly to fix the rift that’s sprung up between the two of you. Hoping. Praying. That normalcy will return.
“You’re not hearing me!” He whispers desperately in your ear, and his grip is almost painful now - almost like if he lets go, then you would just disappear from existence.
In response, you remain silent this time, patiently waiting for him to continue.
“You almost died, and I didn’t know if I would be able to save you. Because it was just me. I had no idea if the rest of the Bulls would get there in time. I-I… God, Y/N, I wasn’t sure if I would be strong enough to save you… and that terrified me. I’m still afraid. I-I have nightmares that I couldn’t do it, or that they didn’t get there in time, or that you died immediately so I couldn’t even get the chanc-'' his voice breaking off before he could finish, and Zora finally surrenders to the lump choking his throat. Shaking with full body sobs, as he leans all of his weight on you, causing you both to collapse to the floor.
Once there, he pulls you into his lap and cradles you with his face still burrowed in your neck. Reaching up, you wrap your arms around his neck, running your fingers through his fiery locks, and pull him down so you’re cradling his head against your chest.
“I’m so sorry Zora. I-I thought you were upset with me… I-I didn’t know that’s how you’ve been feeling…” your voice cracking quietly too while you stroke his hair.
When he doesn’t respond you feel the need to fill the silence, so you add.
“I’ll get stronger - I promise. I don’t want you to be afraid because I’m weak.” you say in a hushed tone, attempting to soothe him, but instead Zora’s whole body stiffens.
“No.” He states firmly, leaving no room for argument. Confused, you stay silent waiting for his explanation.
“You don’t have to get stronger, Y/N. Just don’t… Don’t tell me to leave you again, please? I-I can’t take it. I can’t stand the thought of leaving you somewhere to die alone.” Zora shudders at the thought and subconsciously nuzzles deeper against your chest.
“Okay. I promise,” you assure him softly.
“But on one condition,” your words drawing Zora’s interest as he tilts his head up to meet your gaze, “the next time you feel this way, just… talk to me. It’s okay to be afraid, but it’s not okay to face it by yourself…” tears drip from your eyes onto Zora’s cheeks.
“I can’t stand the thought of you facing it alone either.” You rasp in a pained voice, and then pull him close to cradle his head to your chest again.
A long pause falls between you two, and for a moment you’re worried he’ll say no again, but then he breaks the silence.
“Okay. It’s a promise then, princess.” Zora’s mocking tone revives itself a bit as he uses the word that you so hated being called at first, but now, hearing him say it for the first time in three weeks - it causes a warmth to spread through your whole body.
The same warmth you’ve felt since you first set foot in the Black Bulls hideout.
The one you feel when Charmy gathers everyone for meal time and insists that you try her new recipe first. “Y/N! I just made this for the first time, please try it - you’re the first so tell me how it is!” She’d whisper excitedly - eyes darting back and forth to check for others - and then watch you crumple on the spot from how delicious it was.
Or when Magna and Luck fight like siblings but take pause to make sure you weren't injured by a badly aimed shot. “Y/N! Are you okay?! We didn’t hit you, right?” Magna, trying to recover from Luck’s attacks enough to speak, would worriedly grasp your head in his hands and turn it side to side checking for blood. Luck standing to the side, lifting your arm up and down while saying, “It still moves! Can you move it though, Y/N?” Never did their attacks actually hit you, and sometimes you were convinced they were checking on you as an excuse to take a break from fighting, but you were happy nevertheless.
Or when Vanessa barges in your room to show you her new purchases, and talks you into trying on one of her outfits that shows a little much skin. “It’s okay to be modest, but if you’re covering up because you feel like you have something to hide, then just look how beautiful you are! Now why would we hide that?” She’d say, turning you to face the mirror in that big sister manner.
Or when Noelle ridicules someone, just to turn around and tell off the first person who tries to ridicule them too. “Are you going to train in any offensive spells, Y/N? Right now you just have healing and some illusions…” she’d say with an incredulous quirk of her eyebrow. But the moment a Magic Knight from another squad attempted to give you the same advice, she is quick to come to your defense. “Just? She just has healing?! Do you even know how many lives she’s saved? I mean she’s saved all of the Black Bulls’ lives countless times, and the whole reason we are able to earn stars now is because she handles the damage!” She’d retort in a huff - sending the other Knight off with his tail between his legs.
Or when Asta finds you training alone and gives you encouraging words before helping you. “It’s okay to struggle at something - I mean I struggled at everything until I got my Grimoire, and even then I still had trouble here and there. Standing back up and trying again is the only way to keep moving forward.” He’d urge you, and then he’d help you hone your skills.
Or when Gauche actually showed interest in the books you read because you told him you and Marie were enjoying talking about it together, and eventually he started asking you about it just because and not because of Marie. “Y/N, here.” He’d hand you the new edition in the series you’ve been reading. “They released the new series, but it was almost sold out. Will you take this other copy to Marie?” He hands you a second copy before walking away. (Okay, so maybe he still is very inappropriately obsessed with his sister, and of course you give her the extra copy).
Or when Grey hangs out with you in her True Form on the common room couch late at night. “Oh! Um… Y/N! This is so embarrassing… I’m low on mana, so I can only be in this form! I’m so sorry!!” She’d cry and shield her face from view. You’d say it’s okay - that you like True Form Grey the best - and to come sit with you if she’d like, and even though she claims she’s out of mana, when she sits down you can feel the excess wafting off of her.
Or when Gordon showed you the Voodoo doll he made of you and asked if he could compare the hair textures. “Y/N, I made this doll of you - I did a big job a town over because they make a specific fiber that is the closest I can find to your hair texture, but I’d like to make sure it matches.” You let him compare, and he looks rather pleased that it does match. “Your curly texture is very unique, so I wanted to make sure I got it right.” He’d say with a black lipped beam your way.
Or when Henry (formerly the ghost) changed your room around without warning. When you asked him about it he said, “I… noticed… you… go… outside… every… morning… to… watch… the… sunrise… so… I… brought… it… to… you.”
Or when Captain Yami patted your head after a particularly arduous mission for you.
“Good Work, kid. We all knew you could do it.” He’d say after you successfully healed the squad and mended damages to the village.
That same warm feeling that nestles its way in to curl up in the center of your chest every time you walk through the front door of the hideout.
The one that feels like home.
