☮:Opinion on peace

boy howdy let me tell you.

there was once a time when Jack Morrison would have been the biggest advocate for peace around. He was once the commander of an organization dedicated to keeping the peace and making sure that nothing bad happened in the world. Dealing with crises on a staggering scale and leading teams of amazing individuals into fights around the world.

but the years after his apparent death have turned him into a more cynical man. he doesn’t think that peace is possible. he’s seen far too much bloodshed and war in his lifetime to think that there will ever be a time when something like that doesn’t exist. you can fight and fight and fight, but the work is never done. there will always be someone out there willing to shove their boot into the freshly paved road you’ve laid toward peace.

and that’s the cold, hard reality. if there ever is peace, it’ll come after he’s long since passed.
