Minor headcanon, but I think that Ei has a different sense of humor. Like, in an archon meeting, Zhongli is telling some jokes and notices Ei just tilts her head towards him, while, the others laugh. Then Zhongli starts to explain in detail the pun and even the historical context of the joke. While Venti says he killed the joke, by explaining it, Ei just laughs softly, which makes Zhongli feels accomplished and he still makes the joke and explain to her and she laughs every time.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀This very self-indulgent headcanon on how she viewed Morax before and let me word vomit my view on the pairing.

A shadow under the sun, Makoto left men breathless with her beauty and one look from the geisha would cause them faint. When the two ascended to gods, that beauty captured more hearts and Beelzebub would watch in the corner just content to see her sister happy. The warrior would mediate alone under the wisteria vines until she felt something poke her cheek and there was the silent archon with a cup of tea in his hands — they didn’t utter a word while they drank tea. It was strange that she enjoyed his company but didn't know much.

Beelzebub only knows the man from words by her sister and others. The image of him was this powerful adepti and her curiosity started to slowly grow into infatuation, she even manage to convince him to spar with her at times. The kagemusha deeply respected the man and looked up to him, feeding the self-surface image she has of the dragon. Getting flustered nearby him and avoided his gaze.

She fell in love with a warrior that she knew nothing about and didn't try to get to know. The illusion started to crumble after the war and the loss of Makoto, and how she currently feels toward Morax is indifferent with lingering ignorance.

He still confuses her with the reasoning behind his actions and goals. Why he stepped down in such a matter and what did he gain from it? Does he not fear what killed the original seven and a nation? They can discuss it with tea like before the wisteria falls.
