Bounty Hunter Hux AU
Hux leaned in closer, much like Ren did to him in the past. Just a faceless man crowding the personal space of another, intimidating and looming. “Should I kill you?” He kept his voice soft and low, as he pressed the blaster hard enough against Ren’s temple to bruise. “Do you want to die? Are you looking to end the farce that your life has become, Kylo Ren?”
He pulled back to see Ren’s eyes go wide and the color drain from his face. His mouth opened in a silent ‘oh’.
“Or should I call you Ben Solo now?” He sneered, not masking the derision that laced his words. If Hux hadn’t been studying him, he would have missed Ren’s wince.

More Bounty Hunter Hux AU
“Hux?” The feral look had faded from his eyes and instead something akin to hope pooled in their depths.
He moved the blaster from Ren’s temple but kept it trained in his direction while he reached up with his free hand to unseal his helmet and pull it off. He tossed the helmet at Ren, who fumbled not to drop it.
“You don’t appear to be happy to see me.”
“No Ren.” Hux snarled and backhanded him, splitting Ren’s lip. “I’d very much like to shove you out the airlock.”
Ren’s eyes grew hard. “You won't. You need me.”
“I’ve been doing quite well without you, Supreme Leader.” He mocked. “But please, enlighten me. Why should I let you continue breathing?”

Kinda want to post WIPs everyday that I get something new written. This is from The Red Blade, a new story that introduces Kahl'ryn and basically follows his mission on Hutta.
The air that rushed into the passenger ship when the hatchway opened smelled of sulfur and acrid chemicals; it tasted of ferrous minerals with an undertone that could only be described as sickening sweetness. Choking dust, kicked up from the boots of passengers, gang members, and workers, lingered in the air without a breeze to disturb it. A chemical yellow haze hung over the industrial town of Jiguuna, an immediate reminder of the Hutt Cartel’s greed.

A little WIP from Looming Darkness.
She brought her staff against his chest, just enough to sting, but not enough to bruise. “No more hiding what you are, Mitth’raw’nuruodo. Or have you forgotten your oath?”
He hadn’t forgotten. He’d sworn to protect the Ascendancy. His entire existence, the sole reason for him to live revolved around that singular goal. Yet he had failed. That oath now lay shattered, drenched in the blood of millions, consumed by the fires of the Chimaera. He looked up at her, meeting her glaring eyes. “It matters little now, the one who spoke those words is dead.”

With finals nearly complete I have time to go back to a project I started months ago. Tonight, I started working on the skin texture for my Zandalari Druid (in raptor form) that I am working on. This has been a lot of fun to work on and I really hope I can reach a finished state with it this summer.

Today's wip snippet. Almost 500 words in and Kahl is only just now leaving the spaceport. lol
He narrowed his eyes and his fingers twitching as they hovered over the blaster strapped to his thigh. He didn’t need trouble. He glanced around and spotted a man struggling with a box of spilled droid parts. Kahl adjusted course and knelt to help the man, keeping the guards in his periphery. They stomped past him and stopped the Rodian he had arrived on shuttle with. As they knocked the Rodian around, Kahl helped the man to his feet. The man sputtered his thanks and shuffled away with his box of parts. Potential danger avoided, Kahl made his way out of the spaceport and into the heart of Jiguuna.
