anyways heres my manifesto thus far, the group’s called Zestism, im probably gonna make a blog for it if i get enough interested

The contemporary atmosphere of detachment, irony, cynicism and emotional sterility is, ultimately, one of the most dangerous and faulty aspects of the art scene.

Realism and technical skill in art are not, in concept, bad things, but should not be emphasized as much as they are. Expression, interest, passion and wholeheartedness should be the main elements poured into art, not technical skill and the ability to create realistic images.

Passion is the number one trait we emphasize -- from adoration to pure hatred, we want to create an environment in which fiery affect is placed first and foremost. Detachment, objectivity, and intellectualism are useful in many things, but art is not one of those things.

We aim for personal expression in an era where being expressive is deemed as unruly or even threatening. We are rebellious -- we want to dance in public, display our innards on the asphalt and encourage the world to go against the grain.

Artists are human too. We should not play the role of detached, self-absorbed observers of society. Rather, we participate in the world while admitting we are just people, people who have as many faults and talents as anyone else.

We are inclusive and anti-conservative. All humans may participate, as long as you are inclusive as well. We are not some elite club where only people with a few specific talents may join.
