I actually trimmed this down way more than I thought & had 500 characters, but I'm so tired & all I could think about is how Count Axion is scum; I didn't want to spend more characters on him though, so just know it's a story about a couple that DOES learn to talk with each other & that's pretty great

When Cassia wakes up in the past after telling her husband, Zester Greze, to move on once she dies. She tells him she's not going to work in this life. She can't not though & ends up making big improvements right off the bat & setting herself up for a better relationship. Cassia kicks Vita (Zester's abusive "childhood friend" from the family that owned the land he used to live on in Bohem who Cassia thought was Zester's mistress in their first life - she was not) out, starts a wig business, gets the Rakan Tribe to come to Greze, has Zester's mercenaries become official members of the Greze army, gets her father in on the wig business, takes contraceptives given by Rael (as a philosopher) to make sure she can have Rael & Lucy again, saves Clara (maid) from her abusive husband Matthew Holten, unintentionally catches Count Axion’s attention again, & tries to prepare for a coming territory war in the North.

Cassia & Zester go to the capital where Cassia buys up heating supplies for the coming cold & finds a shop to sell her wigs. Princess Iskria asks Cassia to make a blue wig for the blonde third princess, who is Princesses Iskria’s child with her commoner lover Landel. Cassia instead makes blonde wigs for Princesses Iskria & Eileen, befriending them both. Cassia & Zester learn the pope’s guards are collecting people by accusing them of being heretics that follow Remiel instead of Orobas. Zester unintentionally rescues a child named Remiel that is in fact the God - the one that turned back time for Zester. Remiel wanted to meet Cassia, who is smart enough to pick up that the Papacy are kidnapping people. Cassia & Zester work with second prince Eagle to free the abducted people then with Eagle, Princesses Iskria & Eileen to reveal Pope Victor the 10th’s crimes & trick Axion into killing the pope, thinking he’s protecting Cassia from the pope’s “cleansing ceremony” when it’s Iskria in disguise. Zester punches Axion. Axion is being held for murdering the pope, but obviously won't be punished. The public is singing the praises of Axion, Eagle, Iskria, & Zester. Then the cold comes. Cassia works with Iskria & Eileen to help save lives during a freezing winter.

Rael wants Eunice, who is Lucy, to remember him & their parents. Rael’s soul is pushed to its limits as he continues to help his parents. Lucy gave up her memories & only knows she’s determined to help Axion & make him Emperor - it’s because she wished that her mom could have married someone powerful like him instead. Lucy didn’t know Axion’s scum! Lucy & Remiel have a talk in which he says he loves her, but it's possessive (109).

Varnan & Viche form an alliance & start a territory war. They partner with Baron Gunther Gush, and Zester beats them all and takes over. Eunice/Lucy remembers Cassia’s her mother and helps. No civilians were hurt in the war! Princess Iskria says, since they have the Viscounts' seals, they'll be Viscounts instead of Barons, they're brilliant & will do great, & have imperial support. Zester wins over the people of Gush. Rael finds his mentor, Monasella Lehman, to cure Cassia. Lucy knocks away Cassia's birth control. Cassia realizes it was Rael & Eunice is Lucy & cries, wondering what price they paid to bring her back. Cassia tells Zester she had a dream that felt like it would happen in the future. Zester tells her isn't god, but he'll make sure they're happy, & she can pray. Cassia prays "that my husband can live a long & healthy life, meet our children, & love them" & Remiel realizes what he needs to do to save Rael.

Axion is scum because he’s constantly pressuring Cassia to get with him, that Zester isn’t good enough, she could have been his wife - blah blah - & ignoring her constant refusal of his advances.
