would you say that you find eric more interesting than dylan?
Definitely. He's one odd creature. The type you'd want to examine under a microscope. It goes beyond the usual "he's so misunderstood let me understand him" mindset. He actually has some very interesting (mostly mentally malnourished) takes that make psychoanalyzing him both entertaining and annoying. He's contradicting, unreliable, and incoherent.
It's sad that he faded into a concept. An oversimplified symbol that people made digestible enough to pick apart because he's "relatable" instead of acknowledging all aspects of how he came to be, what he is, and what he had become.
Because just then when you do that, you'll be able to recognize how disturbed and sick he truly was and how he was trying to communicate that to everyone all along.

what got you into writing analysis ?
Hello, thank you! This is such a great question
A part of my answer to this is in my new post, but essentially, I just really like writing. I've developed a passion for it since I was young.
Maybe it's my absolute perseverance to understand people and life in general, and I want to put it to good use. I like to look into stuff and analyze so much that sometimes it could be a strech, but that's the fun out of it. Thinking, thinking. It's what we always do and what we do best as humans because it is our innate nature. Some are just so hyper-aware of their thoughts that they look for ways to make it stop, and my way is to embrace it by expressing it through what I write.
I also try to detach myself from the media I write about to be as authentic as possible. That way, I am unbiased and can see all sides. Though I mean, we can't avoid detachment completely, given we have pre-established stuff which we only learn to cope with because we can't control it since people made it up so everyone could follow in the first place — I also wanna see beyond that and look at it deeper instead of face-value, you know?
But really my purpose is to think, answer, and make others think. The world is full of questions and the only way I find purpose is by looking for answers and helping others. It's the best I can do with my existence. I live to question, gain insight, and help others do the same
Prime thinker... real. I sounds so insane
note: I really like your blog, by the way! I like reading your stuff heehee

which life is strange game do you like
The second one, dont know but stories involving two siblings, especially if they're tragic, are my roman empire. Daniel and Sean remind me of me and my older brother, which is why I am a Daniel supporter at heart. I understand him, I see him. I know the younger brother experience. Hell, I know the atrocities of being a child that "gets everything they want" but in truth, doesn't. "He's so me," or whatever they say. You will be forever famous Daniel Diaz. I am a proud (p)resident of Daniel Diaz town.
Also, I love The Captain Spirit arc. These kids are so real. Makes me want to be a kid forever so I can stay in my imaginary world and be a superhero

analyze my blog 🙏🙏🙏🤓
I can only offer a shallow analysis of your blog because I'm not qualified to analyze people's thoughts comprehensively, since I'm not a professional and mostly rely on factual content in my research. However, from what I can see, your posts are genuine and some are really fucking funny dude. I hear you. Your posts are both relatable and concerning — not the bad way but rather the thought-provoking, "I get where this guy is coming from" kind of way.
That's why I like tumblr. I like understanding and seeing other people's perspectives on stuff, gaining insight, and looking at different viewpoints. Like an omniscent third person lmaoo — same thing I do whenever I come across your blog (before I hit like, I stop and become the thinker real)
I hope this makes sense and I am not just yapping because I don't know a more cohesive way to explain it
Newayz, keep being awesome dude! 🙏

what's a piece of literature that's impacted you the most?
Haven't really keeping up on literature but one of the best books I've ever read was, "Some People Need Killing" by Patricia Evangelista. It was just recently published and I got a hold of the copy from someone else. I haven't fully finished it yet but hands down one of the best true crime memoirs / books I've ever read.
The book talks about the brutal murders tied to the Philippine Extra Judicial Killings under the rule of President Rodrigo Duterte during 2016 to 2022. As someone who had to research this topic for many gruelling research papers and also witnessed the news reports during the height of the massacres, god it's surreal. It's dystopian.
Evangelista's writing about her real-life encounters and interviews is so precise, so emotional, so bone-chilling. It perfectly describes the horrors of being a journalist in a country with a government that is so close-minded and cold-blooded. In a country ruled and governed by catholic guilt and righteous morality, there's an obsession on the punishment and retribution of "sinners". Sometimes it is even a sin to be human. Criminals can be victims too. Innocents can be labelled as criminals so easily.
Drugs are the root of all evil. Bullshit. The people wouldn't even try to get a hold of it if they had the oppurtunities to deny it. The reality of poverty forces people to turn into a life of addiction and crime and the government only trains these people to be "resilient". It's sad, disgusting even. To learn how to only take what they can get and suck it up because they have no other place to be but below. It's as if the government has conditioned them, then systematically eradicates them on a hitlist like they're animals, even if the problem in the first place is born out of the failures of the institutions that do not wish to provide the impoverished with the necessary needs of education and oppurtunities. If you're born in debt, you stay in debt, because who will shine the shoes of the rich? Who will take the blame and fall when the previlaged need someone to cover up for their shit?
Even if you have come so far and have moved out from this fucking miserable country you call home, guilt and death will find you. It wreaks of it in every step you take. It will find you, just like it has found your friends, your father, your mother, and even maybe soon, yourself. You are tied to it as long as you live because there are no limitations to what cruelty can be defined when it comes to an authoritarian rule that is backed up by the police. You basically owe the government your life. Just as how your parents and their parents before them have experienced the Martial Law under Marcos, Duterte has also showed his wrath in a form of mercy. The mercy for the innocent — but can we really agree when those killed are too?
There are so many reports of those who have not used subtances or are not affiliated to them being killed. Some, convicted but did not fight back yet were still killed. Some, in rehab but still hunted down because they were on the list. Some, children of those convicted. Some, children who have no means of being convicted because they haven't done anything at all. Some, activists and journalists who begged to challenge the silence.
Yet people still glorify and accept that this was reality. This was retribution. This was a saving grace, when mostly it was delusion and a thirst for blood.
Plus, Pat is a fucking badass. She's courageous because doing this kind of thing would be a death sentence. It would mean that you'd be hunted down because an open jaw is basically a bullet to the head. She's fucking awesome that I aspire to be like her. To understand others in a way you detach yourself from the picture and empathize from all prespectives. To keep asking questions, even if it will never lead to an answer.
Here are some of my favorite exerpts from the book:

what's your favorite film/what are your favorite films?
I love these kind of questions ... thank you Wisteria, you are a lifesaver.
I have been procrastinating in answering my asks but this question whispered into my ear and told me to answer it as soon as possible just so I can yap about my favorite movies. I purposefully left out Zero Day and Elephant because although those two are part of my favorite films because the characters and themes are really interesting to analyze, and yea sure I have analyzed them a heck lot, they haven't really profoundly impacted me as much as the one's below. Never really struck me on a personal, personal level. If the movie's good then it'll lead to an astral projection and you're suddenly hyper-aware of everything you feel me ... I'd say that the following are my favorite films, not in any particilar order:
Donnie Darko | This movie has been etched into my brain permanently and will be ingrained on it long as I stay awake. I could explain almost every detail behind it. From the religious symbolism, to the intricacy of the plot, to the nature of Donnie's character. I recall that the first time I watched it, the initial confusion sent me into a spiral of research and more re-watches. It's just that type of film where the more you watch it again, the more you find more small details that change the whole trajectory of the story. For my school projects that involved creatve writing, I always chose to talk about this film in my essays because of the themes. There's something about existential dread and religious tragedy that makes me so alive. The mystery of man's fate and existence keeps me up at night. Donnie's me and I'm him. When he said, "Every living creature dies alone." I felt that shit in skin, bones, viscera, and soul.
Dead Poet's Society | First ever movie that actually changed my life. My first viewing of it in 2019 made me feel so inspired but still left me empty after realizing that perhaps some people are born for their passions but because of the circumstances they're enslaved to, they are only left to dream. It makes me want to fight the air. Plus, I see myself in Todd. I love poetry and I know the burden of being pressured to follow the footsteps of success of an older sibling, even if all you want to do is exist and find the joy in doing what others consider to be useless.
Fantastic Mr. Fox | Wes Anderson is such a great director but when he makes animations it's like the world is slowly healing back into crescendo. This film makes me so happy for every reason there is. I love the themes of greed which is being told through the prespective of animals. Just reflects our innate human nature to be so attracted to greed and power that it slowly consumes then inevitably destroys us. Also, I love "different" characters... Ash save me, save me ash.
Mysterious Skin | Watched this once and it made me sick. I had to think about for an hour. Fuck, humanity is so morbid. So facinating. So hopeful yet decayed. I hope their coach died or something, sick motherfucker. Gregg Araki has an insane amount of skill in making the best emotionally complex and gut-wrenching queer films ever. I also liked the use of Aliens in the film because I personally love Alien things. Used to be a big fan of sStar Trek too when I was younger. I love you Brian Lackey, you are the world.
Azure et Asmar | I love Middle Eastern films. Brings me back to my youth. It's like it sends me back to the past and allows me to relive some of the memories I wish never passed. Wish I could've stayed there longer typa thing. This movie is so beautiful. So playful and childish yet grown and thoughtful at the same time. I love films about family too, can you guys tell ... Watching this film was such a happy experience and everything about it was pleasant. I even learned the lyrics to one of the songs just because I loved it so much.
Trainspotting | Fucking insane and brilliant. This film is so exhilarating and like DPS, so inspiring yet too fucked up that it just makes me question is life really worth it. Is living really something we should do or are we just killing the time and seeing it as an obligation rather than a will ... The monologue Renton gives during the start and end is so good that I need to get it tatted on my skin or injected into my veins.

What's your opinion on the death penalty?
This is such a great question, and honestly, it's a very controversial topic, but here's my personal opinion on it.
It’s similar to what I’ve said before: I don’t believe that pain can heal pain, even in the pursuit of justice. This belief goes beyond religious sense and dogma; it’s about humanity. Responding to inhumane actions with inhumane reactions doesn’t solve anything. Irreversible events happen, but that doesn’t exclude a criminal from the equation of change. Yes, they must be punished for their actions, as they have deprived others from their rights to live.
However, I believe the death penalty is not a fitting form of retribution. Life without parole achieves the same effect, and although humans may fear death more than the loss of liberty, the latter is a more fitting punishment. I believe life without parole is just as good and possibly even more effective than the death penalty. Number one, it offers an opportunity for helping and correcting behavior and it uncovers potential evidence (factors leading to these crimes) which are helpful to know and help prevent similar cases from halpening in the future.
Moreover, criminals can receive help and gain an understanding of why their actions were inhumane. The death penalty also often carries biases, as crime rates are disproportionately higher in poorer environments. These areas are neglected by the government, which fails to address poverty, leading to increased crime rates, especially with drug-related offenses and murders. Without access to education and employment, people in these communities are more likely to turn to crime and death penalty often holds a systematic nature, reflecting the dysfunctional nature of the government's refusal to take accountability for addressing the root causes of crime.
Most of the time, the death penalty can also be used as a tool for authoritarian control, creating condemnation of death. For me, it serves no inherent purpose beyond economic reasons. It burdens taxpayers but benefits the government by creating a facade that it's effective. This approach is more about projecting an image of control rather than actually addressing the root causes of crime or structuring genuine justice.
Criminals should be punished and victims should receive justice, but not through dehumanizing ways. Justice, in essence, upholds humanity. In punishment there shouldn't be a perpetuation for further inhumanity.

could u analyze my blog too?
Like what I have said before, I'm not qualified to analyze anyone's blog comprehensively and can only provide a shallow analysis of what I personally can see, but sure! Yea dude, I'll try my best to tell you what I think of it
I like your blog a lot
You're one of the people here on tumblr that I actively keep up with because of the content that you post, which I like to read. The first post I have ever interacted with from you was your post entitled or marked with "25". I share the same sentiments with you, especially the last remaining paragraphs. Thanks for also posting the information stuff about Columbine! I look at that a lot.
I've read that you've been studying true crime for quite a while, and you said approx 2 years from what I recall, and I respect that. Examining and discussing disturbing media like crime cases is a really challenging task. So much so that some can get too immersed in it and it takes a toll on them. I've only been studying (in-depth) this type of media for a year. I abruptly stopped last year after a year of studying it shallowly because I had other things to do back then, and I suppose I wasn't ready to question a lot of things that I question now, especially after being exposed to stuff like these now that I am in a humanities course.
It surely is crucial for us to understand humanity and reality, even the morbid parts of it. Studying these cases provides the insights needed to confront the unsettling truth that these events reflect the darker aspects of our human nature. It forces us to acknowledge our own capacity for being both the disgusting and the disgusted. Yea, the process is difficult, especially when we abandon the high moral standards we often hold ourselves to in order to grasp the complex nature of humanity, which we ultimately cannot fully achieve, because of our innate human drive — we are good but we are selfish.
Moving that shit aside, your personal posts are also really funny, relatable, and inisghtful as well. Adds a refreshing tone where despite the seriousness of the things you post and repost, this guy is human. This guy is relatable. This guy is funny. This guy is cool. It makes your content all the more authentic.
Also, I like the aesthetics of your blog and Rammstein is a good band. What's your favorite songs? Maybe I can listen to them sometime
Newayz, like I always say, stay awesome! 🙏

OMG U LIKE BIRDS???? AS IN LIKE AL BIRDS EVER OR DO U HAVE A SPECIFIC FAVV
Yes! I love birds, heehee.
My dad had this book that I would read when I was a kid and it was all about birds and their behaviors, nesting places, ways of catching prey, and a lot more. It fascinated me so much that during early highschool I started researching more about specific bird species and their status on endangerment. I stopped for a while after but it came back. I really like them! From the symbolisms they have to the ways they interact with their respective environments, soo interesting
May favorite birds are:
King Fisher
Barn Owls
Red Cardinals
Silver Appleyard Ducks
ALL BIRDS yea
