Omg love everything in this new chapter, but the last line instantly reminded me of the MCD “a great, big tragedy” that Zar wrote. Of course that means me rereading it, and now that barty’s dead, I realised that he and Evan could meet in the ‘afterlife’.

Idk what’s going to happen in the next 7ish chapters, but I really hope that in one of them we get those lovely little afterlife reunions, between anyone really, bc Zar wrote it quite beautifully in “a great, big tragedy” and I’m nothing if not a masochist when it comes to angst

also... i have to say that zar wrote their trans characters so beautifully. like mary in crimson rivers has my heart. i love when a character's transness is such a non-event especially with so much transphobia we have in the world rn. i thought i'd never be able to write a character like me (very trans) because i didn't want to address any sort of transphobia... but here i am! representation is important! writing lgbtq stories that aren't coming out stories or entirely homophobia/transphobia (not that those stories don't have their own place/aren't important/realistic) is so important!

me making characters trans but not acknowledging it until i'm writing smut... like SURPRISE! PUSSY! because i refuse to write transphobia just live ur happy little trans life
