Ilum is cold, always. It’s a frozen planet, practically all the way to the core, and even when the sun is up it’s far too easy to become one of the many frozen corpses in the icy landscape. 

In the ruins of the ancient Jedi Temple that once called the planet home, there are many hidden secrets. The deceptively sparse caves hide thousands upon thousands upon thousands of shimmering Kyber crystals, to say nothing of whatever Jedi secrets may hide within them. 

And, in one cave, long-forgotten, a relic of the ages, stand eleven carbon-frozen figures, watching over the caves of Ilum in an eternal, unseeing vigil.

Zaniah is having an absolutely abysmal day. 

First, the planet that was supposedly mountainous is actually just giant slabs of ice, and they had to requisition emergency cold gear, none of which fits properly. 

Then, there’s an avalanche, and he gets separated from both his troops and Skywalker. And now he’s pretty sure he’s being hunted by something vaguely wolf-like. 

This is the last time he goes on any mission with Skywalker.  At least that cave looks warm.

Personality; He acts like the worlds most tired old man, even though he’s the youngest of his group. Generally kind, he has a terrifying temper when someone hurts someone he cares about.  Likes/Dislikes; He loves his troops and he loves his Order (flawed as it is), and he really, really loves his fellow darjetii. He hates the Chancellor (for reasons he can’t pinpoint) and dislikes the Senate immensely.  Strengths/Weaknesses; He’s exceptionally strong with the Force- not as much as Anakin or Yoda, but close to Yoda, at least. However, he is also a Fallen Jedi- a Sith. That puts him at many disadvantages; he has to hide it, which leaves him with much fewer options than might otherwise be.
