Three Wise Monkeys Project Evaluation:

Original Idea: The original concept for my project was to make a Sci-Fi game, animation and interactive novel. This immediately helped me make a quick concept of my main character going up in space, killing enemies and finally reaching the main boss to eventually kill and defeat, then that make my character the hero in the game. I did make designs and profiles for other characters, However there role in the story have changed and I took one out. Other characters still in the game and in original plan are, the “Badass” Guy, the “Badlass” women, The Hero character, the mini boss’s and the main boss. However there appearance and some minor details have changed.  

Character concepts: 

I began with one main character that portraying myself, but quickly portraying a singer that inspires me in a music band (Johnny 3 Tears from Hollywood Undead), shortly changing again to a different singer who sings in the band, Avenged Sevenfold called “M Shadows”, but my character is just called. “Shadow”. as a “Badass” referring back to the character theories with “Rogers” theory of a badass character in games. His theory on this type of character was someone who “Says cool things and acts cool”. I took this idea and create my own version of myself as a badass guy. He had and still has a special vehicle that he travels in. I was very quick in the decision of the name for the vehicle. I decide to call it, the “Vengeance Car”. The reason for this is because, as the chosen soundtrack from myself being Avenged Sevenfold’s new album, “The Stage”. The band have a music video with a lowrider in with there traditional deathbat wings on the side. The Vengeance part of the name came from another members stage name, “Zacky Vengeance”. Shadow’s ability is being able to see seconds and minutes before something actually happens, so he is able to be aware of future events.

The second character I soon introduced as I wanted a female character as also a main character and an option choice to play as either the male or female character. This woman character was portrayed as a real life person and after thinking of a name for her in game character, I just named her after the real person’s surname which is “Knox”. However this decision was made later on in the making process. Her character is also a badass but likes to be referred as a “Bad Lass”, with the same attitude as “Shadow”, she does however own a bike instead of a car which “Shadow” owns and has different abilities as him. Knox’s ability is hearing things from long distances which enables the team to sense any danger that is approaching. 

“Love” Characters - “Hero Character:

At the beginning stages of choosing characters for my project I wanted to have women portrayed strongly throughout the game. But having the original idea of two beautiful attractive females in the story, one being trapped and one being the third member of Shadows and Knox’s alliance. I felt that this wasn’t getting the point across, that being having women portrayed in a positive way. Even though I feel that women should feel attractive, having one female be trapped I felt wasn’t necessary. These characters again were portraying real life people and in the early stages of this project they did not have a name to begin with and they were supposed to be Shadow’s so called “Lovers”. So the new idea came of keeping just one of these women, with the same role but slightly differed. She is still attractive but having her act as the hero changes your view on her. Her name is “April” which is the real persons name that this character is portraying in the game. I do think the name suits the character well as it sounds quite seductive referring to her special ability of her seductive eyes putting them in an illusion then trapping them in spiders webs.

Enemies: Main Boss + Mini boss’s:

The original plan for my Main boss was to again portray a real life individual but i decided to scrap this idea as I don’t like the real person enough to be inn my game. To start with, this character was a human controlling the Evil Universe with his army of mini boss’s that he sends out to try and kill you. But I had changed this to be a robot instead of a human as I felt that the change resembled the games meaning and relating to the Sci-Fi genre. His original name was “Vinny” relating to the real life persons name but I changed it to “Temper” as it sounds more demonic and threatening.    

The Idea I have Now:

A short summary of the idea now that i plan on not changing going forward. There are three levels, level 1 is the animation, level 2 is the game and level 3 is the interactive novel. 

Level 1. Your character, whether female or male and your co-partner are working in the good universe. Your co-partner gets a notice that the main boss has sent his army on you. You activate an interactive code to unlock your universe’s door to go out of space but the bad guys are already there waiting. They come in and you and your co-partner kill these enemies. 

Level 2: Choice of female or male character. Space war starts with you in your special vehicle and the next set of enemies try and kill you. Once killed all enemies you drive to the “Continue” section where the animation will appear. 

Level 3: You have lost your co-partner right before you face the final battle of you vs the main boss but carry on without knowing where your co-partner has gone. You enter the evil universe and walk up to the main boss. When you are one on one with him, the hero character appears from the sky and goes one on one against the main boss and kills him. You are surprised by the appearance of the hero and you embrace and she tells you that she saved your co-partner and reunites you and them together.   

Things That Have Changed: 

Some of the character roles, appearances and names have changed. I did have the animation for the level 1 part and interactive novel as level 3 but I changed that. The aim of the story had changed from rescuing a beautiful women to just rescuing the world from evil destruction.

Things That Have Stayed The Same: The idea of portraying women strongly and the Sci-Fi genre with the concept of good vs evil universe’s.
