Celebrity is a condition of fame and broad public recognition of a person or group due to the attention given to them by mass media. The word is also used to refer to famous people. A person may attain celebrity status by having great wealth, participation in sports or the entertainment industry, their position as a political figure, or even their connection to another celebrity. 'Celebrity' usually implies a favorable public image, as opposed to the neutrals 'famous' or 'notable', or the negatives 'infamous' and 'notorious'.

第一個社交媒體平台SixDegrees.com於1997年推出。
YouTuber

If anyone who's disabled and needs a pick me up and a reminder that being disabled isn't a metaphorical death sentence, I highly recommend the book "If At Birth You Don't Succeed" by Zach Anner.
I asked my partner if I should read a memoir on PTSD(what I have) or on cerebral palsy(what he has), and he VERY excitedly chose CP. So I went to my friend who ALSO has CP who is an avid reader like me and asked if he had any books he'd recommend and he recommended "If At Birth You Don't Succeed" and quite frankly? He picked out the best book he could have recommended to me right now.
Where I was looking for something to help me understanding their struggles as people with cerebral palsy, I was given something much better. I was given a book about a disabled person's life that wasn't about how sad it is to be disabled, how incredibly hard it is to live with a disability/disabilities, of navigating a world of injustice(which, to be clear, would have been fine as I'm always looking to educate myself on the struggles other people have that I may not be aware of due to not experiencing them) Instead I have been given a gift of "hey, yeah we may struggle because we are disabled but there is /so much *joy*/ in life". And it is such a needed reminder right now as I'm currently going through a phase where my disability has caused the end of a friendship almost half as old as I am. Instead of giving me the gift of understanding pain and struggling, I have been given the gift of joy and laughter.
So obviously, I'm gonna check out the other things Zach Anner has done, too. He seems like a cool dude and is funny. And he's from my city! Neet!
(Note: I know THREE people with cerebral palsy! Upon meeting the third, my partner went "God damn it stop collecting us like we're cripplemon!!🤣🤣🤣" I don't know how I keep meeting so many people with the same disability, but it's not intentional! But my life is better for it. They are my greatest supports, and I love them very dearly and they understand me better than anyone else and I hope they know that I try to offer them with the same understanding)

Happy Disability Pride Month!
Tumblr media
From Carlos and Mikey Ramon, happy Disability Pride Month.
“In 2015, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio declared July Disability Pride Month in celebration of the ADA's 25th anniversary. The month is a chance to honor each person's uniqueness as "a natural and beautiful part of human diversity," according to America's Disability Community.”       -USA Today Article by Gabriela Miranda*
There’s still work to be done for equality for those of us with disabilities, just like those of us who are queer which we celebrated only last month. We deserve just as much out of life as everyone else because every one of us is amazing!
I recommend watching ‘Zach Anner & The Quest for the Rainbow Bagel’ for an informative video on accessibility for wheelchair-users specifically. Don’t be afraid to learn new things, even if they seem scary or different.
Have a great month everyone, and spread the love!

*Yes, I’m aware that an Au/tism Sp/eaks tweet is featured in the article. Read it critically, as you should when consuming all media. ^^

Yes, but probably not for me! It would be far too much extra work for my spastic muscles and far too much time. But I'm passing it along in case anyone else wants to try.
My personal method of putting on socks tends to be variations on Zach Anner's.

Wait, is this why I loved watching Zach Anner do cerebral palsy workouts while I did my palsy physical therapy?
one thing about me is i frickin love long ass youtube videos about the most random and niche topics imaginable. defunctland's investigation into who created the disney channel theme song? oh i was seated. a two hour breakdown on the lore of the entire tekken video game franchise? sign me up. a vlog about a cross-country roadtrip dining at every single rainforest cafe in the united states? i'm there.

Somehow I didn't realize who was the other guy who had a Pasta Pass along with Chris
It was Zach Anner
It's still so funny how Achievement Hunter had a whole video of them going out to eat lunch at Olive Garden with Chris, but it was Face Jam where they revealed that it was because they all thought it was his last day at RT (it was his last day of the Olive Garden Pasta Pass) so they agreed to go with him
