In private he's a great cuddler: he never lets you go once he has you in his arms! Instead, he doesn't show much affection in public; he does it mostly to protect you (he doesn't want anyone to associate you with him). However, if you pay attention, you'll see he's always looking at you out of the corner of his eye.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

I think he's a really good friend, a bit tsundere, but a good friend: surely he would be thoughtful and protective of you. Your connection point could have been Keiko, who introduced you, or a mission together entrusted to you two by Koenma.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

As I've written before, in private he really likes to cuddle, and his favorite position is to have you in front of him while you lie in bed and talk about your day. Instead, in public he's much more reserved: the most he'll get is an arm on the small of your back if the place you're in is particularly crowded.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I think he has a huge desire to have a family, as his isn't particularly good, although he'll never admit it, so he would like to settle down with you. He isn't particularly good at cleaning, but in my opinion he can cook pretty decently (after all, he has to eat something edible at home).

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

If he had to break up with you, he would be a little abrupt and detached, even if he would take that attitude to avoid getting emotional. He would be ready to receive your hatred or your blows (if you decided to punch or kick him out of anger) with your last hug. After apologizing to you, he would disappear from your life forever to avoid making you suffer further.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

The only problem which stopped him from establishing a relationship with you was the fear you could become a possible target of his enemies, but, after a great deal of convincing on your part, he was convinced to try having a relationship with you. He would like to make the marriage proposal to you quite quickly.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Maybe he can be a little harsh with his words, especially when you're in public, but he's always very kind with his gestures: for example he always touches you as if you were porcelain, or he makes sure to listen to you as much as possible when you speak. Furthermore, he tries to always remain kind to you, even when he's angry, and most of the time he succeeds.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He likes to hug you a lot, but he'll never do it in public except in very rare cases. Typically you two hug while standing, with one of his arms bringing your head towards his collarbone and the other around your waist and his head buried on your neck, while your arms are either resting on his chest or around his neck or waist.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He confessed to loving you after you two had been engaged for some time: he had already told you several times he liked you, but the "I love you" came shortly after Genkai's death, while you were consoling him, cuddling and holding him tightly to you and whispering sweet and reassuring words to him; it came out unintentionally but, when you asked him if he really meant what he said, he confirmed he really loved you very much.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

He becomes jealous quite quickly, especially of people he holds in high esteem: he immediately starts to feel a little insecure, to think he doesn't deserve you; when that happens, you can notice his eyes sadden slightly, and he just wants to be reassured by you. Nonetheless, he doesn't demonstrate those insecurities, and he approaches you to chase away who's courting you by masking them with false confidence.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses are quite sweet and slightly possessive in some cases (for example if he becomes jealous), generally on your lips, or even on your cheeks and forehead; as for him, he has a weakness for kiss on his lips' corner: every time you kiss him there, he blushes slightly and pulls you in for a kiss on the lips ("Where are you going? I want my kiss!").

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Although he has to admit he wouldn't mind having a mini Yusuke or mini you, I doubt he'll ever have children, both due to his job and because he believes he's incapable of caring for children. In fact, since it's as if he grew up alone, he isn't very good with children: for instance he doesn't understand what they want when they cry.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

When you two wake up early, he usually gets up earlier and tries to make you breakfast (but he always ends up making a mess). Instead, if he has to get up early, he stays for a while in bed to cuddle you, then goes to get ready for the day and, before leaving the house, he leaves an affectionate kiss on your forehead. On the rare days when you both can get more sleep you wake up in a tangle of blankets and limbs after 10am.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He often comes home late, so most of the time you're already asleep; when that happens, he gets ready for bed making as little noise as possible and then slips under the sheets with you, falling asleep hugging you. Instead, if it's early, you two get ready together and either watch a movie on your tablet or computer in bed or, if you're tired, lie down and cuddle until you fell asleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He would be quite open about his past (he isn't ashamed of it and he has never considered it a secret or hidden it), but something he wouldn't be open about would be his feelings and emotions: it would be really hard to understand how he feels, and he wouldn't make it easy.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Generally he doesn't have much patience, but with you it increases considerably: of course sometimes he gets angry, but he'll never yell at you or get physical with you, rather in those cases he prefers to distance himself from you to avoid hurting you physically or psychologically.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

It depends on the information he needs to remember: if he perceives it as important, he'll do everything he can to remind it; nevertheless, if you talk to him while he's doing something else or distracted by something, it's very unlikely he'll remember what you told him.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The best memory he has of you two is an hug: he had just finished a long and dangerous mission and he had rushed to your house, running very quickly; he met you on the street, and you both threw yourself on top of each other, ending up on the ground, heedless of the dirty looks from passers-by. He remember that time he held you in his arms as if you would disappear in a few seconds, burying your face in his neck and pushing your body against his to feel your warmth.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He's quite protective of you: he knows he's a target both because of his work and his lineage, so he knows his enemies will probably target you, and he has promised himself to do everything to protect you, for example by accompanying you home when it gets dark. The best way you can protect him is to make sure he doesn't push himself too hard and not to get hurt (he'll freak out if that happens).

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

As for dates and anniversaries, he puts in those a lot of effort to make you happy and satisfy you by taking you where you want and doing what you want. However, since he isn't the richest person in the world, he can't give you too expensive gifts, but he's a romantic at heart, so they've a deep meaning. He also goes the extra mile with the little things he can do to help you and make you happy.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He has the bad habit of exceeding his limits: he very often comes home full of wounds and bruises, making you very worried. You must make him understand he mustn't exaggerate with his body, not only for him, who can be in great pain, but also for you, who can no longer bear to see him in that state; after many chats with you, he'll finally understand he mustn't overwork himself and try to stop before exceeding his limits.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He doesn't care much about his appearance, but he always has the decency to show up to your appointments well dressed and combed; don't expect him to show up to you in suit and with lacquered hair, but at least his clothes are well ironed and his hair isn't sticking out.

I'll be honest: he wouldn't miss you much if you were separated, since he's always quite busy, or rather he wouldn't miss you most of the time. If he was feeling particularly affectionate, he would feel very incomplete without you even if you only went for a few minutes to get water from the kitchen; or, the same would happen even if he was without you for a long time, like a few months.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them)

He has the habit of fixing your hair when it slips in front of your face and bothers you, For example while you're doing homework. Whenever he's with you and strands of hair get in your face, he'll tuck it behind your ear, or sometimes he'll offer to tie it up for you. Plus, it also gets rid of stray hairs from your clothes.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn't like evil or exploitative people, nor those who want his attention all the time: he's very busy with his missions, so he needs to have at his side someone who can spend most of his day alone. He wouldn't even be comfortable with someone who's very arrogant or who treats others or even themself badly, as he wouldn't be able to take care of someone who gets hurt.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He's a particularly heavy sleeper and he moves a lot while sleeping, so you may find yourself pushed out of bed many times. However, there are days when he sleeps holding you: generally in those cases he sleeps on his back with one arm wrapped around you, who rest your head on his chest, almost always on the heart side, half lying on him.

He has no shame: whether you're alone or in public, he always showers you with affection. His way of showing affection is touch: for example, whenever you're together, he always has his hand joined with yours or an arm inside your waist.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Your friendship definitely started with you being scared to death of him, who sneaked up on you from behind and laughed handsomely at your reaction. As a friend he would be very affectionate and energetic: every time you see each other, he takes you on thrilling adventures.

He's particularly clingy: he always wants to hold you in his arms and, whenever he has the chance, he rushes over to hug and cuddle you. You two cuddle in every position and in every place, even in public; his favorite position is having you on his lap while sitting on the roof of your house (he especially loves carrying you off the roof while flying).

He actually invited himself to live in your house from the first days of your relationship: "Why should I wait to come here? We're engaged!". He's never cleaned, so he isn't good at that at all but, if you've a little patience and teach him, he'll learn it; however, when it comes to cooking, he isn't and will never be able to cook more than one omelette.

If he had to break up with you, you probably wouldn't take him seriously, since he would talk to you in his usual cheerful and joking tone. This aspect could make you angry, and you two could leave each other not on good terms. However, even after leaving you, he would continue to watch you from afar without being noticed, at least for the first times after the break.

Being a youkai, he doesn't understand well either the concept of engagement or that of marriage: in his opinion you became his partner from the moment he claimed you as his. He didn't ask you that because it's normal for him, and in fact he always introduces you as his partner, the first few times causing you to be shocked exactly because he had never spoken to you about a possible engagement.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically he's generally gentle, apart from a few rare cases where he hurts you as he doesn't control strength forgetting humans are weaker than youkai; psychologically, instead, he's a little less kind, but only because he doesn't realize the weight of his words. However, if you tell him what may offend you, he'll stop saying them.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves to hug you very much! He does it always and in any case, in every circumstance: he would even do that during a fight... His hugs are very long (if he could, he would hold you in his arms all day) and tight. Typically, you two hug as he takes flight, so your arms are around his neck and your face against his chest; instead, one of his arms is around your waist, the other under your legs, as he holds you close to him.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

I've the impression your first "I love you" was said by him quite casually: being a youkai, he isn't used to the importance of those three words, so he probably told you them before you went to sleep ("Good night, I love you!") or after you had told him or brought him something ("Thank you, I love you very much!"), leaving you shocked and flushed. Even now he tells you them very often without yet being fully aware of their meaning.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they're jealous?)

He isn't particularly jealous, mostly because he's quite naive and doesn't notice if someone flirts with you. However, being a youkai, he still has a slight streak of possessiveness: if he sees you uncomfortable with someone, he'll swoop down to you and stand behind you, hugging you from behind, and he'll give him dirty looks (although very often he'll be more cute than scary: he'll look like a cat fluffing up his fur!).

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses are generally sweet, a little playful; very often it happens he peppers your face with kisses after having kissed your lips. The places he kisses you the most are your lips and cheeks: the first ones especially when he's happy or you two haven't seen each other for a long time, the second ones when he wants to be a little more playful. There's no place he prefers to be kissed but, if you kiss the tips of his ears or his small horn, he'll blush a little.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's never come into contact with children, so he isn't particularly good with them: he can easily make them laugh, play and have fun, but he doesn't understand what they want when they cry and he isn't good with their more "domestic" care (for example changing them, making them eat or sleep...).

Get ready, because he gets you out of bed very early: at the crack of dawn you can already hear him calling you to do something with him. You very often spend the morning together, either relaxing or doing various activities such as cooking (you always have to keep him from blowing up your house) or going for walks, but, if you've to go somewhere and he can't come, he'll be offended and look at you as if you're abandoning him.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He's also active at night, but for you he tries to let you rest and not disturb you. When you get ready for bed, he follows you like a faithful puppy; when you go to bed, he lies down with you and cuddles you, talking about his day and lulling you to sleep with his words. After you fall asleep, he either stays with you for a while or flies off to train or into the youkai world.

He's been pretty open with you since the beginning of your relationship: he trusts you, and he hasn't any big secrets to keep from you. The interesting thing is he reveals some things about him at the most random moments: for example, once you two were in a very dangerous situation, and he came out with: "Do you know when I hadn't learned to use my powers yet I fell on a rock and scraped my skin all over?"

He never, never gets angry: he's too cheerful for that. If situations in which any person would get angry arise, he doesn't do so: of course it's a question of character, but it's really pleasant to be with him, since whatever the situation he never loses his temper.

I'll be honest: he absolutely doesn't remember any of your important dates, mostly because he's never been used to doing so, since those things aren't part of youkai culture; he also has a hard time remembering things about you, but he still tries his best to remember something, like your tastes.

His best memory is the first time he flew with you in his arms: he picked you up without telling you, an action that made you squeal in fright and hold onto him tightly, and then he started lifting up. While he was doing scary stunts in the air, you were wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist like a koala and yelled at him: "Jin, you idiot! Stop! Don't you dare make me fall!" "But it's fun, (Y/N)! And then don't worry, I'll never let you fall."

He becomes really protective if you're in places where there are a lot of youkai. He's protective in quite subtle ways, such as by creating invisible barriers around you; sometimes, with the excuse of feeling alone, he hugs you, protecting you from small things, such as strong winds or even a blow from a possible enemy. The way he needs to be protected is by not being cheated on or left by you: he would never be the same again if that happened.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

For youkai the concepts of dates, anniversaries and gifts are foreign, so it took him some time to understand them: now, for example, he brings you small trinkets he meets on the street, but he still doesn't remember your important anniversaries; instead, he's always quite available if you ask him to do something, but sometimes he tends to exaggerate his actions to be seen and praise by you, and ends up creating small disasters.

He has the bad habit of always being "comical" and cheerful: he's never serious, and he takes everything that happens lightly. It's really difficult to have a serious conversation with him, and sometimes you get into fights about that. One positive thing, though, is that he has become aware of that problem and he's trying to improve himself.

He doesn't care practically at all about his appearance, since it isn't typical for youkai to care much about their physical appearance. That doesn't necessarily mean he's scruffy, but sometimes he comes to your appointments in flight, so often with slightly disheveled hair or clothes not in order due to the speed he flies with.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Maybe at first he would hardly even notice you're missing, but after a while he would start to miss you like air: he would start complaining to his classmates and whining ("I miss (Y/N)!") and try to reach you in every way. Little anecdote: once you had a school meeting lasting a few hours, and you found him knocking on the glass of the window of the room where it was held, greeting you and saying "I miss you" in labial.

He loves to take you by surprise: he very often sneaks up on you, picking you up from behind like a bride, and takes you with him while flying; in addition, he really enjoys doing reckless stunts in flight, just to feel you clinging to him because of fear, but he always promises you he'll never let you fall, no matter what.

He would never look for someone he thinks is boring: he wants to date someone who loves the thrill of an adventure like him or at least who doesn't like to stay still for a long time. He needs someone with whom he can vent all his daily energy, not someone who will frustrate him because he doesn't want to do anything. In addition, I think he wouldn't like someone who's too perfectionist or bossy.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

I don't think youkai sleep, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like lying in bed with you and watching you sleep, but there are times when he doesn't want to stay still and lie down with you, so he leaves you alone in bed while he flies away ("Why do you humans have to sleep so much? What's fun about lying still on a bed?").

   Your weight is of no concern. He loves you for you and no matter what you are the most beautiful thing he has ever seen! So relax and have fun, as long as you have your delightful smile on your face, everything feels right!

Jin loves (Y/N)'s glasses. Better said, he loves stealing her glasses to see her eyes twitch and her try to chase him to get them back. In fact, there are three times he steals them from her.

The first time was during their first meeting. That was... strange...

6.17pm, 25th December.

(Y/N) was walking on the snowy sidewalk, lit only by a street lamp which produced a dim light, as she returned from the Christmas celebrations at her parents' house, carrying with her a large bag containing the gifts she had received from her relatives. She was burying herself in her scarf, feeling cold.

Suddenly, she felt a gust of wind pass by her and, in less than a second, her glasses disappeared from the bridge of her nose.

"Wow -the girl heard a voice from above her- are these what you humans call 'glasses'? They're so strange!"

(Y/N) tried to squint to see the one who stole her glasses, but she couldn't make out his appearance. She could only make out a mop of red hair and one thing that shocked her: the thief was flying!

"W-who are you? How can you fly?"

"I'm Jin! And you're beautiful!" The strange boy, Jin, exclaimed, making the girl blush deeply.

"Thank you? Can you give me my glasses back, please?"

"No."

"Please! I can't see anything without it!" (Y/N) cried, starting to try to take her glasses from Jin, forgetting her bag, but with little success, considering her almost total blindness.

They continued chasing each other for a few minutes, but the girl still hadn't managed to get her glasses back. Eventually, the boy reached down and put the glasses on her.

"C-can you step away a little, please?" (Y/N) whispered after seeing Jin didn't move away from her, but rather he remained staring at her, with his face very close to hers.

"Why?"

"Because, if you look at me like that, it's disturbing!"

"Can't I stare at a beautiful thing?"

"Huh? What did you say?!" The girl didn't know whether to be embarrassed and happy at being called beautiful or angry at being defined a thing.

"You're cute without glasses, but you're beautiful with them!"

"Stop complimenting me! And then, you still have to answer one question from me: how can you fly?"

"Who knows?" Immediately after saying this, Jin flew out of (Y/N)'s sight, leaving her stunned.

The second time is what happens every day: every morning, before she wakes up, Jin makes her glasses disappear, so, when she wakes up, (Y/N) frantically searches for them in every corner of their house. Their "glass hunt" always ends with a sweet kiss.

"Please, tell me where they're!"

"You're almost close, (Y/N)!"

"Come on! Give them to me!"

"No! You have to find them!"

(Y/N) is walking with her arms extended forward to avoid bumping into furniture or doors, while trying to find his glasses, but not knowing Jin was the one holding them. However, the girl doesn't see the carpet in the living room. She trips on it, and she loses her balance and falls. Actually, she would have fallen if it hadn't been for her boyfriend, who caught her before her body hit the ground.

"We certainly don't want to ruin your beautiful face..." Jin takes her glasses and puts them on her face.

The girl blinks and remains silent for a few seconds; then, making her boyfriend chuckle, she shouts: "So you've had them all this time?!"

"Joke!"

"Jin!"

"Sorry, beauty." Jin approaches (Y/N); he bends down slightly and takes her cheeks in his hands, giving her an affectionate kiss.

The third time hasn't happened yet. It'll happen during Jin and (Y/N)'s wedding, which took a lot of convincing from her to be made, since she didn't even know what it was.

(Y/N) will walk on the beach, arm in arm with her father, towards her future husband. Theirs will be a small wedding, with only her relatives and his closest friends, and it'll be on the beach, a location chosen by Jin.

The youkai will be super happy, and he won't listen to any of the master of ceremonies' words; the human will be super touched to have finally managed to marry the man who loves her.

Time will pass very quickly, and the ceremony will soon reach the final moment: that of the kiss, which will establish their union forever.

"You can kiss the bride."

Jin will amaze everyone present, because he won't kiss (Y/N), but he'll take her glasses and start running away, shouting that's their daily ritual.

They'll chase each other for about five minutes, then Jin will give (Y/N) back her glasses and, finally, they'll kiss amidst the applause of those present.

Today is a terrible day for (Y/N).

Everything had gone wrong at her work: first she was late to her office, then a colleague who hates her spilled her cup of coffee on her, finally her boss got angry with her and threatened to fire her. So, she returned defeated and embittered to her and her boyfriend's home.

She expected to find Jin, her boyfriend, waiting for her at home while he trained, but, when she arrived there, she found no one. Even sadder, she threw herself into bed under the covers almost in tears, wanting to do nothing.

(Y/N) remained under the covers for a long time; after many hours, she hears the sound of the door opening: Jin is back.

"Darling, I'm home!"

"I'm in our room..."

The girl hears her boyfriend's footsteps go towards their bedroom, and then his head pops out of the doorframe of their bedroom.

"Sorry, I'm so late. I was training with Touya and I lost track of time."

The youkai turns to look at the human, noticing she's under the covers and isn't even looking at him, so he worries. He fears he has done something wrong: he isn't human, he doesn't have the same concept of emotions and how his actions can hurt others, especially his girlfriend.

"Are you ok, (Y/N)? What happened? Have I done something which makes you feel bad?"

"Just a bad day."

"Oh. What should I do?" That sentence, the fact Jin asked her what to do to make her feel better, brings a small smile from (Y/N).

"Can you hug me?" The youkai doesn't even answer: he lies down on the bed next to the human and hugs her gently from behind.

"What happened? Can you tell me please?" At Jin's sweet words, the girl bursts into tears, turning over and planting her face in his chest.

"Today everything went wrong! First I burned my breakfast, so I had to make it again and I was late for work, then my colleague threw her coffee on me and all my clothes got ruined, and I didn't have a change of clothes and I was left with wet clothes, finally my boss got angry with me because I didn't give him the documents, but I sent them to him via email yesterday! He even threatened to fire me! Then, I came home and you weren't there and I found myself alone!" (Y/N) screams with a voice broken by crying.

Jin holds her gently, whispering softly in her ear: "Sorry, darling, for not being there when you needed me most."

"I'm not very good at comforting people, but I can try to console you, although I don't promise to succeed. If you need me to do something, just tell me and I'll do it." He continues, still holding his girlfriend and starting to stroke her hair.

"...Just hold me tight." (Y/N) replies with a small, hoarse voice due to crying, after a few moments of silence.

"Of course."

The two remain embracing in their bed for many minutes, until the girl falls asleep in the arms of the youkai, who continues to look at her sweetly for a few minutes, even if he then gets up silently to not wake her and goes to prepare dinner for her, since it has gotten dark in the meantime.

After about half an hour, (Y/N) wakes up from the scent of food, so she goes to the bathroom to rinse her face, and then she goes to their kitchen, finding her boyfriend in her apron cooking udon for her.

"You cooked me udon!"

"I know you like it a lot and I read on that strange thing with the screen it can make you feel better, so I decided to prepare it for you. It should be ready in two minutes."

(Y/N) feels happier: Jin may not be the perfect boyfriend, but he's trying to be the best boyfriend for her, learning her habits and preferences and better understanding her emotions and how to comfort her.

"Jin?"

"Yes, beauty?"

(Y/N) is celebrating the victory of her boyfriend's team in the stands: after years of participation, they finally won the Dark Tournament! And she followed all Jin's fight, supporting him, healing his wounds and giving him all the moral support he needed.

However, she doesn't know her boyfriend is about to surprise her...

In fact, Jin had accidentally discovered the human tradition of marriage about a month before the final, so he had asked Yusuke, who had just gotten married to Keiko, what it was. It had taken him a while to understand why humans got married, since he didn't understand what drove them to make an oath of loyalty and love to each other: in his opinion, there's no point in doing so. Nevertheless, although he thought, and still thinks, it was useless, he still decided to propose to (Y/N). However, he wanted to propose her in his style, in a big way, so a few days before the final of the tournament, he prepared everything for his proposal: he had his team help him to keep you away from the fighting arena and to fix everything.

It's time for the team to make their wish. The girl is very moved and happy for her boyfriend, and she's clapping and cheering in the stands like crazy.

However, at the time of making the wish, the lights go out, making (Y/N) scared for fear an attack by a defeated team could occur. Nevertheless, before panic breaks out among the public, a light is immediately projected in the center of the arena towards Jin.

"Before expressing our wish -he says- I want to communicate mine to a very important person for me: (Y/N)." The spotlight focuses on the girl, who's already almost in tears, as she already has half an idea what's happening.

"(Y/N) -the youkai continues- I love you very much. You've been my sweetheart for years, you've always supported me and put up with my antics."

By now, (Y/N) is in tears and she's already started to go down the steps to get to her beloved.

All the youkai stare at her and step aside as she passes, almost as if she were a goddess, behavior in stark contrast to what they had previously had: in fact, since the girl is human, they had always criticized, attacked and considered her an inferior being. Not even Jin's interventions had changed the situation, but she had always endured all the insults to come to see her boyfriend fight and to support him. However, now he's the champion: they fear him, and they've realized it'll be better to treat his partner well.

"You know I'm not good at speeches, also because I just forgot the whole speech I had prepared, so I'll keep it short: (Y/N), I want to spend my life with you. Will you marry me?"

The human, having arrived in front of the youkai, throws herself on top of him, hugging him tightly, while crying, causing both of them to fall to the ground.

An enormous happiness explodes inside her. She has waited so long for this to happen, she has dreamed about it for years. The tears continue to rush down her face, but she doesn't even realize it due to her joy.

"Yes, Yes! I'll marry you!"

He only brought up the subject after you confessed your desire to undergo the hearing-restoring operation, during which he tried to stay close to you at all times

He even argued with the doctors because he wanted to come to the operating room with you, but, following their categorical refusal and threats of him being thrown out of the hospital, he was forced to wait for you in the waiting room, where he'll remain until the operation is concluded

As soon as you can receive visitors, he'll rush to you, wanting to be the first one whose voice you'll hear, and he'll hug you tightly

He'll be delighted you can hear it, and he may be moved with you due to that, even if he'll deny it until his death

On one hand I'd say he didn't notice your hearing problems until you told him (actually he pretended he'd known all along: "Really? N-not that I didn't know of course...")

On the other hand, instead, I also maintain he had noticed them quite early, being very sensitive, but he didn't talk to you about them until well into the relationship so as not to make you feel uncomfortable

In any case, he's supported you since you told him of your decision to undergo the operation to regain your hearing

He wanted to know what phrase or word you wanted to hear him say first to prepare it but, when he has to tell you that, he'll even get it wrong because he'll stumble over his words due to emotion!

By the time you finish the operation, he'll talk to you so much you'll have to ask him to be quiet for a few minutes

Kurama

He understood your hearing problems almost immediately, and he tried to help you with communication, for example by teaching you how to read lips or by using sign language

He supported you at every step of the way through your hearing operation, such as staying with you in the hospital as long as he could or comforting you when you were scared

At the end of it, the first thing he'll say is your name, which he'll whisper with a sweetness that will move you, leading him to hug you sweetly and whisper how proud he's of you for having undergone your operation

From that moment on, he'll start to talk to you a lot because he'll want to make up for all the years you couldn't listen to anyone

Sometimes he'll admit he misses your ways of communicating before the operation, though, and he may even use them by mistake

Hiei

Being a youkai who's spent almost his entire life without coming into contact with humans, he wasn't very used to the difficulties they can have, so at first he needed a lot of explanations from you to understand your hearing problems

It also took him a long time to understand how to communicate with you ("How difficult you humans are, you've so many demands and problems…"), and obviously he didn't even understand your operation

He didn't stay with you during the whole period of that, but what will surprise you is his presence on the first day of your return home

He'll huff and puff when you cry at the sound of his voice, but he'll still comfort you

"Oi, you can hear me now, right? Yes, yes, I'm too glad you can, but now stop hugging me… No, don't cry… All right, come here: I'll hug you, but stop crying, it's not like you'll be able to hear me only today…"

Jin

At first he didn't understand your hearing problems: he just couldn't see why you couldn't hear him when he spoke

Nevertheless, after a very long time, he finally understood your difficulties in listening, and he tried everything to help you: for example, he learned sign language (even though it took you really a lot of time to teach him!)

Since you told him your decision to undergo the operation to have hearing, he's become very happy, especially because you'll be able to listen to his voice

When you get home after the surgery is over, he'll run up to you and yell something like: "Welcome back, beautiful! I missed you, what took you so long in the hospital?"

He'll hug you tightly and wipe your tears when you cry, and he'll probably brag because you can hear his beautiful voice

------------------------------------------------------------------------------The dark tournament had ended, finally! You were on the edge of your seat for each and every match that Jin participated! You were glad he had fun, especially against Yusuke, but you couldn’t help but get worried about him. So many bruises and injuries, broken bones and what not… honestly!

His team - Mashoutsukai - won second place. Now, you were happy enough he was alive and in one piece, so the final prize didn’t matter to you at all! As you were all there, celebrating the victory of this season of the dark tournament - the team Urameshi - you noticed Jin grinning at you.

Normally this would be no big deal and nothing out of the ordinary, but something in his eyes screamed mischievous to you. He was in the arena, or what was left of it, with the other teams as well.

As he was the captain of a team, the referee asked him what the team planned to do now. Their wish wouldn’t come true, but what now?  You saw the mischievous grin grow wider, his ears perking up and a quick glance at you. He got the mic and started to say:

Jin: I don’t know about the others, but… I will keep fighting!

Nothing unusual here. His next sentence made you melt on your chair. Melt as in trying to become one with it and disappear:

Jin: But that is not all - he turned his face to the sky, grinning - I wonder if the lady in the crowd would marry me?

The crowd started to gossip and say something, but you couldn’t really listen. You were too busy trying to hide in a ditch or the chair… but all you had was your hoodie:

Koto: What is this? Do you think this is a dating service?

Jin just laughed, but soon Juri made the one million question:

Juri: But who is it? why did you look up?

Jin: Who knows?

He laughed and stepped down from the ring. he didn’t look your way again. everyone was Vey agitated by that declaration, but soon it was replaced by Chuu yelling something about it not being fair. The referees got mad at him for that, but Jin walks away!

After all the party and statements were given and the Urameshi team made their wish, you left the arena to meet Jin outside. Your brain was going a mile per hour now, so you were painfully distracted and easily scared when someone appeared upside down in front of you:

Y/N: Ah!

Jin: Haha Hey, Y/N! So…?

Y/N: Hey.. d-don’t scare me like that…?

Jin: Huh?

Your cheeks burned. You knew what he was talking about, but you needed to be sure. You hesitate to take a step or do anything you just, stood there red faced:

Jin: Y/N? What do you say?

Y/N:.... about earlier?

Jin: Yeah! Yes or no?

You blurted out before you could think of anything, it just came out:

Y/N: Yes.

Jin: !! Really? You will marry me?

Y/N: Y-y-yes! but, a more straightforward request might be-

He was so happy he hugged you. You couldn’t finish your sentence nor breath, he hold was so tight, you started to pat his back as sign to let you go for a bit:

Jin: Sorry! I am just so so so happy!

Y/N: Hahaha, me too… but why didn't you say my name?

Jin: Hmm… it would be bad, you know, these fellows aren’t trustworthy. Knowing about you is not good….

Y/N: Ah i see…

He fidgeted and suddenly jumped, looking like something just occurred to him: 

Jin: Are you upset about that?

Y/N : A little…?

Jin: Ah… i said it on a whim, but i don’t want put you in danger…

Y/N:.... Then ask again.

Jin: Hm? Again?

Y/N: Yeah, this time properly, saying my name! No need to kneel though!

You said the last part so fast, as fast as your face got redder and redder. He looked a bit surprised by your suggestion, but he smiled and a faint red tint was on his cheeks:

Jin: Your wish is my command!

Jin: Y/n, will you marry me?

His grin grew wider and his cheeks got redder, like an apple, you couldn’t help but giggle:

Y/N: Yes! Yes!

This time he swept you off of your feet. This man gave you a headache coming home all hurt and tired. Always seeking a new fight, but you wouldn’t change him for anything:

Y/N: Jin, I love you.

He smiled:

Jin: I love you too!

After this little moment of yours, he asked if you wanted to go back home. You said yes, you did, but something else:

Y/N: I am sorry I can be an issue...

Jin: What do you mean?

Y/N: Not being able to say my name or walk around with me... because I might cause trouble...

His eyes widden and he soon got serious:

Jin: You are no issue. Never were and never will be! You are my beloved bride to be, so what's wrong on wanting to keep you safe?

Y/N:.... Nothing wrong i suppose... but-

Jin: No buts!

He pressed a finger on your lips:

Jin: I'd move the ocean for you. Don't say this kind of thing! Besides, you know what they say " if you have something to protect you grow stronger!"

Y/N: And grow a weakness too...

Jin: Ah man, you have to go that route?

Y/N: Haha, sorry. I just don't want to be a burden...

Jin: You are no burden! Oh! I know! i just have to beat them all up before they even look at you!

He said so proudly with a silly grin on his face. You couldn't help but laugh, he looked relieved to see you crack a smile again. Honestly, what could go wrong marrying this goofy trouble maker? You know, what, don't think about it.

You two will be just fine.

This fight was taking forever. You were waiting for Jin to come back from another tournament that was happening, but boy this was lengthy!

You couldn't watch his match due to some business you had to attend, so for sure, he would be pouting.

As he was taking his sweet time, you decided to read a book. You only started it the other day, so why not take this moment of peace and quiet and boredom to finish it - or try to, at least.

The book was around 500 pages, you sat on the couch, got a blanket, a mug of hot cocoa and started to read it at 4pm. The story was so so amazing! You soon got caught up on it and suddenly the number of pages seemed to not be enough!

Before you knew it, it was dark outside, you were getting sleepy. But just this chapter! Then you will do your night routine and wait for Jin on a more comfortable place than the couch!

Alas this plan went out of the window. You recall reading the book and loosely holding it. Then the next thing you know, you are on the bed, under blankets with a soft snore coming from the spot next to you.

The room was pitch black, but by the soft snore and feeling of a presence next to you, told you that a) Jin is home and b) you fell asleep at some point.

You just shrugged it off, rolled to the left and leaned your forehead on his back. He didn't even noticed, he is a heavy sleeper after all!

When morning came, you woke up with Jin clinging to you. You could see a few bruises here and there, most of them seemed fine, except for one on his back, near his right shoulder blade, it had a black-ish color.

You sighed and tried to stay a bit more. But soon your arm went numb and you wormed out of Jin's grip. This time he woke up. He mumbled something about not wanting to be up yet, but as soon as he turned a bit that nasty bruise touched the mattress.

He hissed and sat up right away. You got a little taken aback from the sudden movement:

Y/n: You ok there, Jin?

Jin: Yeah, Yeah, is just a scratch.

Y/n: A scratch huh...  a black scratch

Jin turned around to face you, he was pouting:

Jin: It's not THAT bad. I had worse before.

Y/n: I know. I recall the damage from the fight with Yusuke.

He grinned.

Jin: See? Not THAT bad. Besides I won!

Y/n: Haha! Congratulations! But I think we should patch you up better.

Jin: Pfft, It's fine!

You poked his back and he hissed again, pouting even more:

Jin: Hey! That hurts y/n!

Y/n: Oh I thought it wasn't THAT bad.

You giggle at his pout. But you helped him patch up nonetheless. While you were at it you remembered something:

Y/n: Jin? What time did you get home?

He proceeded to explain to you what he found at night. According to him, he got back very late around midnight or so. He was excited wanting to you tell about today, how easy the fight was and who lost/won! But he found you sleeping on the couch, legs up the arm rest, the blanket was too big for you so it was dangling on the floor, the mug was empty, placed on the floor and book almost falling off your stomach.

So he sighed and smiled. He thought it was adorable you made the effort to stay up to wait for him. But he didn't want to wake you up.

So he decided to take your book and place it on the side before taking you to bed. He carefully got you and the blanket to bed, thinking that, maybe, an extra blanket would be nice for you.

He got the mug out of the floor and placed it on the table. It's an issue for tomorrow, he was tired too!

As he didn't want to wake you up to patch himself, he decided to give it a try. He did have some skills on it! He was dead tired and when he came back to the room you were mumbling about something he couldn't understand.

Even though he wanted to cuddle you, he thought he would wake you up, so he decided to just stay on his side. He had a big smile on his face when he sat down.

Your face looked so cute, you were so peaceful sleeping, slightly drooling and apparently having a dream too. He moved the hair out of your face before he went to sleep. He did stare at you for a little a while as well:

Y/n: And do you know where my book is?

Jin: Yeah, I placed it... somewhere on the living room, maybe the table?

Y/n: Oh I see, thank you. Sorry I fell asleep.

Jin: That's fine! Although I don't how long you've been there. This book must be boring huh.

Y/n: It's not! I was just tired.

Jin: Yeah, right.

Y/n:... thank you for taking me to bed and placing it somewhere.

Jin: Sure!

He perked up and moved around to smile at you, but as he did so, you accidentally brushed your hand on the bruise which made him hiss:

Y/n: Sorry! Stay still!

Jin: Like you last night? Man, you slept like a rock.

You sighed and giggled:

Y/n: where is my " thanks for waiting for me?"

He thought for a bit before thanking you. Honestly, this youkai is quite something! You promised to go to his next match, to cheer for him. This got him very happy! He was definitly going to look for you on the crowd!
