@kaedwenistout​​ i figured it’d be best to put the ask in thread format lol      - Prompt #2 for Yves and Eloise? 👀

It’s easy enough for Eloise to smile when Yves walks in. Although the situation is bleak, she’s thankful for marrying him instead of an unknown and unkind stranger. Poor Yves looks as nervous as she feels. Her wings are covered, pressed against her back as a compromise. Some had advocated for cutting them off until one of her aunts pointed out how it’d be counterproductive. What’s the point of making a truce only to spit in the faces of the other party? Eloise would be lying if she said this situation wasn’t uncomfortable. But Yves’s here, she’ll find a way to survive with him.

“Yves, it’s good to see you.” She stands and walks towards him, careful to keep an eye on the family around her. They’ll leave in a minute, the aunts just want to ensure she doesn’t pull any stunts. “Bet you never thought this sort of thing would happen between us, right?”

"Love is a noble cause." - Yves to Eloise

"Isn't it? The fact that my parents defied everything and everyone in their lives for love is a fact never lost on me." Eloise goes quiet to contemplate the conversation. She's never opened up so much about her parents. Yves's presence gives her a sense of security to do so. Can she consider that love? The thought brings a smile to her face.

"They've done so much for me as well," she states. "So have you. I'm grateful for it all."
