As of late, there have been brambles spiralling up and encasing parts of the Ramshackle dorm. The brambles themselves seem generally harmless, as do the roses that fall from them, but if you prick yourself on the thorns, it would be quite an unpleasant sensation, so I'd suggest exercising some extra caution when visiting for now."

"Yup, yup! If you've got a friend or two living in the dorm out there, go check on em and make sure they're doing okay!"

"I know I myself must check in on my dearest companions soon..."

"Well that's it for now! We've been your hosts, Chamomile-"

"And Earl Grey,"

The stream continues on for a bit before cutting off, though.

"Hey... James?"

"Y'know how Yuna has been locking up lately and stuff? Says she's been super sick recently."

"Mhm... It's quite concerning, if I am being honest. I haven't seen her for a while..."

"...I wonder if Yuna is alright. I hope she doesn't get hurt with all those brambles."

Kiyuu stared down at her phone with a frown as the podcast ended. She didn't say anything, prompting Aros to speak up from behind her.

"...Lucky you haven't been over there for a while, isn't it?"

He spoke, giving Kiyuu a faint smile, leaning in just a little closer while dabbing a makeup brush into the eyeshadow pallette in his hand, before applying it, making slightly quicker movements than previously, already being able to tell what Kiyuu was thinking.

They both knew the signs by now from even just a glance. With the context the podcast had accidentlly given... Something bad was about to happen. That much they could tell.

His expression morphed back into a frown as he watched how Kiyuu's face seemed to go through a cycle of conflicting emotions, confirming what he'd thought.

"...Yuuto's close by, though. And he definitely won't hesitate to head straight for Ramshackle once he suspects something's happening..."

There was more silence, only disturbed by the quiet sounds of rummaging through makeup and supplies from Aros. They'd been in the middle of testing out some makeup samples Aros had been sent for a promotion when they'd decided to tune into NRTea's podcast in the background.

"...Would you like me to quickly finish applying your makeup before we go?"

Aros offered, picking up an eyelash curler, and tilting Kiyuu's head up gently with his pointer finger.

"But-"

"Ah- Let me finish now. If you're worried about time, I'll change up our plan, do something quick, yet effective, instead. Don't stress out more than you need to. It won't do you any good."

"Mmh... Okay then. I'd- really like that. Thank you..."

Kiyuu conceeded softly, a silent exchange of gratitude from Kiyuu between them, Aros nodding in response, expression neutral as he continued.

"...Heh. I bet he's real excited right now. I worry a lot for him when he does this sort of thing, y'know. Just doing whatever he wants with no consideration to anyone else's feelings..."

Kiyuu mumbled, an underlying bitterness that she never quite felt wholeheartedly in her voice.

"That's just how he is. The only thing for us to do now is help them both out, hm?"

"Ah- right..! Yuna, I heard their name was, I think... I hope they're alright..."

"As do I."

Aro's commented as he stood, reaching instinctively for his hand mirror, handing it to Kiyuu as he hastily, yet still neatly, tidied up his supplies.

"Satisfactory?"

He asked, turning his head around to gauge Kiyuu's opinion.

"Yeah! More than, for sure."

Kiyuu agreed, handing back the mirror. She felt a little better now, the familiar feeling of her makeup calming her nerves ever so slightly.

After a few short moments she stood, hastily reaching to fix up her hair into a more practical fashion.

"Okay! Okay. Let's go! We shouldn't waste anymore time."

She announced, projecting bounds more confidence than she actually felt.

"Yes, let's. Perhaps we'll even arrive before anything too disastrous occurs on either party's end..."

Aros responded. Though somehow, they both doubted that much of a miricle would happen for them today...

Which of the Karasuno boys…

Fears death the most

I do think it’s Nishinoya. It’s not a major fear. It’s not something that occupies his mind all the time or that feels like it’s looming over him. It’s not even something that he finds himself often thinking about. But out of all the boys, I think he’s the one who finds himself, in the face of death, either thinking about his own or facing someone else’s, finds the concept of it absolutely terrifying. It’s just so final, so big, so…scary. He fears being alone, which is a part of death, but it’s also that, at least for his own death, he just can’t help but think that there’s so much morethat he hasn’t done. There’s so many things he hasn’t gotten to experience. There’s so many people he hasn’t had the chance to meet yet. There’s food he’s wanted to try but hasn’t gotten to. There’s one more round of cheers with his old teammates at the bar that he needs to do. There’s just…more. For not only him, but everyone he knows who dies and the fact that everyone will, at some point, die with all those more’s unfulfilled frightens him to his core.

Lies the most

In black lies, the kinds to get out of trouble or to blame someone else, it’s probably Tanaka. However, it was really only an issue when he was younger, when he was quick to lie and place blame on his sister when things got broken, when food got eaten that wasn’t theirs, when they both got into fights with other kids and came home all bruised and scraped up, and things along those lines. It was a childish trait that he’s mostly grown out of, though he can sometimes slip back into it in his very worst moments. In mostly white lies, it’s Kageyama, who tends to tell lies or half-truths in desperate attempts to hide his emotions or because he doesn’t know how to express and deal with what he’s thinking and feeling.

Is the quickest to judge others

Let’s not lie here. Everyone knows who I’m going to put here. Everyone knows the most obvious answer to this. It’s definitely Tsukishima. While he’s not a horrible person or anything, and while he definitely has his strong points and a lot of positive things about him, as a person he can be very judgmental about a lot of things. That extends to people. He is quick to assume and judge based on first impressions, though he’s willing to adapt his opinion if someone really does show him that he was wrong. He won’t up and admit he was wrong in conversation or make anything out of his changed opinion, but he will change his behaviour towards them for the most part. But yeah…he can be a bit of judgmental asshole at times, though he doesn’t always mean to be. Kageyama, Tanaka, and Nishinoya can all be a little judgmental or quick to rush to judgment too at times, but nowhere to the level of Tsukishima.

Thank YOU, anon, for this absolutely incredible ask. I read it at 5:45 this morning and fell down a mental rabbit hole picturing who/what could eat a volcano and how. This is the result.

You asked about dark twst thoughts/aus right? Well I got something for ya. Its more angsty than dark though.

Grim is (arguably) the best friend of the prefect of Ramshackle. These two sleep in the same bed, share the same meals, spend a lot of time together. I like to imagine that Yuu pets Grim goodnight every night lol, else Grim gets angsty.

Well, Yuu dies in chapter 6 by the hands of one of those robots, yknow, the ones that the STYX guards wear. Yuu gets shot by one of them, but hides the wound. Once the whole overblot with Idia happens, and we are reunited with Grim (I dont actually know if we get to do that, I havent finished chap.6 yet lol), they kind of succumb to their injuries and collapse, heaving in pain. Grim, and everyone else obviously, are horrified. Grim rushes to their side, and Yuu gives him a pained smile, trying to pet his fur with their remaining strength.

"I guess this... is it for me." They gasp, not even having the energy to keep their arm by Grim's side. Chaos ensues as they lose conciousness, leaving a freaked out and crying Grim behind.

After Yuu's death, Grim stops attending classes and just kind of lives around the campus. The housewardens (+jamil i guess) try to take care of him but they are all grieving in their own ways. Perhaps you can write something out of this, and if its too angsty, you can always go with a RookVil fic with gore and hate sex lmao

STYX is such a good catalyst for angst and dark fics 🙏 might I take you up a couple and offer the idea of Yuu, not dying after getting shot by a robot, but after getting kidnapped by one. They're told that nothing will happen to them so long as they comply, but everyone else is in danger, so they refuse to. After spending enough time at the brattiest school there is, they know how to be a nuisance!! The bot tries to subdue them, but with everything going on, there's some issues with the programming... Its idea of "subduing" is to grab them by the arms so tight that it hurts, bang them against the walls and counters until they stop trashing and screaming, administering a near-lethal electric shock... They're not dead, but close to it. When the others find them and dismantle the damned thing, Yuu is unconscious. So much is happening, they can only do enough to wake them up and keep them going until everything is over. They aren't able to treat their internal bleeding and wounds in time, and... The rest is as you've described.

For the ship thing Ace x Deuce x Yuu (grim is there son)

I apologize for being vaguely M.I.A. the past couple days, but I have returned!

I'm honestly a big fan of this one, even though I don't usually go for ships with Yuu in them (simply on account of Yuu being vaguely a self-insert and me being aroace...)

I already think adeuce is a very funny ship because rivals to lovers will forever be special to me (and it was the first thing I shipped because I knew absolutely nothing going into twst for the first time), and adding Yuu to it just gives them the brain cell they so desperately need.

Grim would 100% be their son, but he'd also be the biggest hater of their relationship (in the most supportive way, of course). Like, any time any of them are even vaguely affectionate toward each other (which I'm sure happens few and far between because it is absolutely a relationship built on fond bullying), Grim does like the fake gagging thing.

I, in fact, think that Yuu would start referring to Ace and Deuce as Grim's fathers, if only to annoy him (bonus points that it also annoys Ace and Deuce)

I think all their other friends (the first year gang + heartslabyul) would be very supportive of them, but only in that Yuu is finally managing to add critical thinking skills to the dynamic (Riddle is pleased because they get Ace and Deuce to study)

All in all, 10 out of 10 dynamic. Very in support of, even if I don't personally ship it an immense amount.

“Hardly fair saying that when I have no experience playing anything remotely close to the games you guys have here.” Yuu puffed her cheek in annoyance having lost at the dice game she had once seen Idia and Azul playing. She had been curious about the game itself and though she wasn’t officially a member of the gaming club, or any other club for that matter, she had been given the liberty to wander and test her options on what sort of club might interest her. It was only natural that she’d be drawn to the gaming club above most of the others, being as her athletic skills were mediocre at best. Sure, there was also the science club and a couple of off sided clubs that only seemed to consist of one to two members but none of those really seemed to interest her either. Along with that one of the benefits of the gaming club was that she wouldn’t get bored easily and the other was of course the fact that certain games required strong intellect, both of which were important attributes to the prefect, but the more she had sat back and watched the interactions in this gaming club the more she’d begun to wonder if it was really worth it? 

“There’s such a thing as winning with honor you know.” She huffed once more, there was also such a thing as not being a sore loser, which Yuu would entirely argue she wasn’t, but it could be looked at as her being one in that moment. “Is this how it goes though I wonder? When someone wins they showboat and make sure the losing party knows they definitely lost?” She could see it being a thing, considering the type of students in the school and she’d already known first hand that at least two of the club members hated the very notion of losing. 

Coyly smiling Yuu crossed her arms over her chest, if that was the mentality of this club and how it was going to be, well then she could play this sort of game too. “Silly me getting upset about losing, obviously the fact you’re a bot-man is coming into play here. How could a normie expect to win against someone that can calculate every conceivable outcome no matter what I might have rolled or done.” It sounded cold, and honestly that fact alone bothered Yuu, being as she wasn’t really the type to even try and put others down for her own benefit; but at the same time she needed to gain such a mentality if she had a single hope of living in this crazy place. 

“If it’s a matter of this being ‘your game’ as you put it to then fine, I’ll make a simple game from my home world and we’ll just see how well you do then.” Declaring a challenge on the other hand, that wasn’t something Yuu particularly minded doing.

I'm sure you're not taking any ideas or anything but for the AU where Yuu is Crowley's adopted heir I like to imagine they and Ruggie ran in the same circles when Yuu still lived in the slums and when they meet later Yuu gets him the maid job bcs "Hey that's my boy!!!!! :D"

i appreciate you coming to the inbox with this idea >:DD bc i did plan something kinda similar for this au ^^ in the prologue of the story, it mentioned that Duke Crowley ran a school. and at the time i was writing, i did brainstorm a bit on how each of the “maids” met with yuu.

most of them were former classmates of yuu’s who wanted to be able to support them in some way ^^ they all became maids bc it was a “convenient” excuse to stay at the duchy without raising suspicion (until yuu became a fully fledged duke, and then they’d move to support yuu in different positions around the duchy)

ruggie was also a student at NRC, bc i think crowley would invite students from all over twisted wonderland to come to NRC, simply because he’d want the school to be open to everyone ^^ i think that being slums kids caused them to bond more at the beginning definitely

BUT YOUR IDEA IS CUTE TOO…. it’d be cute if ruggie and yuu knew each other as young kids, and then they either met again at school OR yuu met him coincidentally, and they ended up hiring him at the house after ^^
