i'm gonna be honest, i wanted to do a cute fanart of yurisere but at the same time i was "what if i do a drawing of how i think that is their relationship" that would be funny right (spoiler: isn't, but i like how it turn out)

i can see them as a couple, but also as really good friends-- their interactions in most of the fanfics are really funny

The next time i'm gonna draw a cute fanart of yurisere, i promise-

Also have you notice how Yuri looks so happy in that part of the ending?? He loves talking with Serena and also loves being with her.

Serena for the other hand looks like she is thinking "What is Yuri gonna say this time lol"

Yuri, much like Yugo with Rin...would be so full of energy when he's around Serena. He LOVES to talk about his day and all the people he beat in a duel, and any praise he'd get from teachers.

Serena, like Yuzu isn't afraid to wanna smack Yuri (personal headcanon, she'll do it when shes shy because he has NO personal space like Yugo) Yuri would always be the happiest around Serena and when they duel and shes the only person he struggles to win against.

Episode 135 seems to be where Yuri has gone full Noah Kaiba, with licking his lips, and Vector-esque sarcastic compliments about Reiji, and others.

This makes his earlier, and later characterization much more weirder, though I now get why Japanese fandom thinks YuriSere is the most sexually proactive couple of the Yuboy/Bracelet Girl ships, even though Yuri is heavily characterized with gay jokes in the final Duels within the show proper until the epilogue.

Other tidbits:

**The final shot of the Yuboys vs. Yuri is obviously a reference to the final Don Thousand Duel with Utopia alongside Numeron Dragon, and Abyss Splash, as later referenced in Utopia Rising. It is here to serve as a false hope for the audience until the end of the episode, of course.

***It is unlikely that this will be used for a future Odd-Eyes retrain, since Dimension Force is supposed to reference this Duel (this Duel reaired on YouTube alongside Dimension Force stream), which had Pendulumgraph.

**Revived Z-ARC has red eyes, like OCG version, but original Z-ARC had yellow eyes, as seen in OP6, as we discussed before. This might be either because it is using Yuya as the basis, or for some other reason, like its vague Barian connection that we also discussed before.

***This also probably means the non-Pendulum retrain of Z-ARC will likely distinguish itself with the yellow eyes.

****Of course, Arcray Dragon has heterochromia, so Z-ARC's eye color is not really consistent, and is largely here for symbolism.
