I don't know too much about women's wrestling at large but these are who/what I've enjoyed.

Talents:

Miu Watanabe (Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, various AmeriWres indies) -> Powerhouse; in addition, the TJPW house style is pretty back to basics, so there isn't going to be an abundance of fancy #movez or super high-impact spots generally. Upside is that they get to focus on the core/foundation of a wrestling match which means they're always solid af. -> Current main singles champ of TJPW -> gimmick is very cutesy and bright pink but can and will turn up the intensity -> Match recs: vs Miyu Yamashita @ TJPW Princess Cup 2022, vs Ryo Mizunami @ TJPW Summer Sun Princess 2022, vs Miyu Yamashita @ TJPW Grand Princess 2024, vs KiLynn King @ Spark Joshi's Rising Heat East (dark horse pick)

Maria (Marvelous That's Women's Pro Wrestling, joshi indie circuit, various AmeriWres indies) -> Technical -> Currently 1/2 of the Marvelous tag champs with Riko Kawahata (as Magenta) -> she's a very cool and a bit cheeky + dances to the ring as Magenta LOL. Also gets beat up a LOT since she's only in her early-mid 20s and is therefore a baby LOL -> Match recs: vs Mio Momono and Rin Kadokura @ Marvelous 08.01.2023 (as Magenta), vs Chikayo Nagashima and Takumi Iroha (as Magenta), vs Mio Momono @ West Coast Pro/PWR Queen of the Indies 2023 (dark horse pick)

VENY/ASUKA (joshi indie circuit) -> all-rounder because she's just Good. -> IDK if she's champ anywhere but she's always a threat in that regard -> gimmick is being a sexy asshole but people love her because her charisma is just off the charts. Also has great gear! -> match recs: vs Hikaru Shida @ Pro Wrestling WAVE's WAVE PHASE2 Reboot 4th ~ NAMI 1, vs Mika Iwata @ Sendai Girls 14.04.2024, vs Mio Momono and Yurika Oka (as a team with Yura Suzuki) @ Sendai Girls 17.03.2024 (dark horse pick)

Matches:

Jarochita vs Reyna Isis @ CMLL 89 Aniversario -> mask vs mask. Not a lot of English prowres people pay attention to lucha frankly and fewer to their womens' division, so this match being as good as it is kind of came out of nowhere--but who cares it is very good.

Combat Toyoda vs Megumi Kudo @ FMW's Fighting Creation '96 - Tag 11: 7th Anniversary Show -> exploding barbed wire death match. My favorite deathmatch of all time TBH - and I mean deathmatch in the older-style sense where the focus of the match was on building up anticipation for using the weapons or going into exploding barbed wire rather than expecting its usage. Also it's Combat Toyoda's retirement match at 26 because of joshi norms at the time so they go pretty hard.

Kyoko Inoue & Takako Inoue vs Mayumi Ozaki & Cuty Suzuki @ AJW's All Star Dreamslam ~25th Anniversary~ -> this is just an amazing tag match. Kyoko giant swings Cuty Suzuki for almost 40 rotations. Do I need to say more?

BONUS: my friends recced this Aja Kong vs KAORU match for me to recc as well. I haven't watched it myself but Aja is a legitimate GOAT, so.
