Hello! My name is Coffee (they/them), and I'm trying to leave Texas for someplace better. However, that's really expensive.

the cool thing abt lamplighter's festival is since it was made as part of a fake cover jam, the lantern cover image is actually by yuri runnel, the dev who runs the jam! the cover and title existed before the game did, and the game i wrote was totally inspired by the image he designed :)

Me? Posting again? It’s more likely than you think. Please enjoy the first chapter of my new otayuri biopunk apocalypse/mythology fic!

 The walls of the cave were painted in greys and browns, with flashes of startling color – oranges, pinks, and reds – threaded throughout the striations as Otabek made his way deeper. In some places, Ge’s translucent wires broke through the rock, visible in black threads as thin as hairs woven through stalactites and tree trunks of silver coils bursting from the floor. Water trickled, etching new runnels into the rock with the patience of stars.

        The images were now the insubstantial wisps of memory, their vibrancy blocked off like the shine of a butterfly’s wings spread out behind a glass display, but Yuri had watched in his mirror as Otabek explored the passage. Part of him itched to reach for it now, for the clarity it would bring, but the pull of Ge’s wishes were outstripped by the gentle rise and fall of Otabek’s voice.

        One passage was striped in brilliant orange and ghostly white. Ge’s roots were thick here; inky black ropes cut through the bright colors, turning the rock into a tiger’s fur. Otabek knew that Yuri would love the pattern. He spent a few extra minutes poring over the details, committing every inch of the room to memory.

        To Otabek, he was not always the Oracle. Sometimes, he was only Yuri.

✨ A game I wish more people were talking about.

Fathom by Brendan Mcleod and Matthew Guzdial - and not just because I did the sheets!

Fathom is a Sparked-by-Resistance game (or Spire-like if you're nasty) about a strange city and the varied realities that lay over it, called Fathoms! by descending to lower fathoms, reality becomes more and more abstracted... and more and more magical!

I will say it does have AI generated art but the art was made prior to the recent AI boom when AI-art looked fucking weird instead of like someone's stolen Deviantart portfolio. they've already employed the amazing yuri runnel for the cover art and their itch page and have been very vocal about the detrimental effects of silicon valley's pivot to AI as a replacement for artist labor.

you play as Drifters, nine-to-fivers who delve the fathoms to find cool shit, kill dangerous shit, and experience weird shit! it utilizes FitD's group playbook system on top of the amazing Drifter playbooks!

the best part is that its pay what you want and liscenced under Creative Commons 3.0 - fuck yes! I wish more games would do that!
