　Seung Gil, just like Otabek, is a character with no fold upper eyelids. Among all the characters who appear in the show, Seung Gil is one, in case of whom I was thinking about fans a lot [when creating him]. I tried my best to draw a "beautiful character, who would for sure become popular", and very early on he did become popular among production staff members - I've heard he was the wallpaper on all desktops. But his eyebrows are hairy. When you look at them from afar it looks very cool, but from up close there's probably a lot of unnecessary hair. The raw material is good, but he just isn't interested in anything expect skating. Real-life Korean skaters are very well-groomed, so it was a conscious decision to not copy the reality.

　When we talk about animating, what I can say is that his costume was a nightmare… (laugh). Multi-colored and fluttery like bird's feathers, it was incredibly tough to draw. It was difficult to see his silhouette, so I'd like to study more the material it is made from and how it is made.
