So uh, Shirabe Meshi chapter 37, part 2
Immediately after the end of the first half, a group of people suddenly appear
Tumblr media
They are very obviously up to no good, singing happy birthday and bothering people by getting in their faces saying stuff about "bathe in the light of deconstruction and it'll heal all sickness and end climate change" but Chris somehow comes to the weirdest conclusion that they got a flash mob for her birthday.
She turns to Miku, "Look, I don't feel right saying this to someone I owe my life to, but this is in really bad taste" and Miku says that she also doesn't have a clue what's going on
They all take out a bunch of summoning crystals and let loose a bunch of Alca-Noise
Tumblr media
Chris: "This surprise took a turn for the disastrous!"
Hibiki: "We didn't know anything about this!"
Chris: "Why are you here?!"
So these people think they're creating some new world by breaking down the old one
"This world's bloated population will be culled by Alca-Noise! This filthy world shall be reborn on this day! Let's celebrate the birth of a new world! Happy birthday dear New World"
So yeah, these poor girls happened to be there the same day as some Alca-Noise death cult so now they gotta take care of it
Tumblr media
As they're fighting the Alca-Noise, Maria eventually gets in contact with everyone and tells them how the group she was tracking down was one that would deceive wealthy people who were into the occult into sponsoring them. She had found evidence proving their connection (as she mentioned she was investigating in the first half) but she was too late to make an arrest
The cult keeps making their speeches and Chris is obviously not too happy with them
"Even without Noise, people will always be at conflict with each other...because there would be people like YOU! Today's the new world's birthday, you say? Small world, mine too! Take this! A heaping helping of missiles as a birthday present!"
Tumblr media
And blows up the Alca-Noise
So the cult members get arrested and Chris makes it back to her apartment, disappointed that there wasn't a surprise after all but as she opens her door
"Happy birthday Chris-senpai!"
Kirika and Shirabe had been waiting the whole time
Hibiki and the others start patting themselves on the back for things going mostly as planned outside of that little incident
Tumblr media
But Chris starts telling them that when nobody said anything she thought they forgot and starts crying, saying she's at least glad they didn't forget after all
Tsubasa, Hibiki, and Miku start apologizing saying they should've considered how it'd make her feel a bit more
"Um..."
Tumblr media
Kirika and Shirabe walk up with the cake saying they worked hard to make it for her hoping it'd make her happy. Chris wipes her tears and takes a bite of the cake, which reminds her of the cakes she had as a child
"It's sweet...! But so good"
Afterward, absolutely everyone starts showing up
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So of course Chris gets overwhelmed by everyone coming all at once (though Hibiki claims she's actually happy)

WARNING! DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS ASK UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY FINISH KUUGA! I AM SENDING THIS PREEMPTIVELY BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO HAVE IT WHEN YOURE DONE.
Image buffer
Tumblr media
Ok so I wanna hear your thoughts on the final fight specifically. I really adored how after all this hyping up of Ultimate Kuuga’s destructive power, rather than it being something flashy and explosive, it was… down to earth. Brutal. Just two dudes punching the shit out of each other in a way that was Difficult To Watch.
The final battle of Shin Rider felt like a callback to this, honestly. Just heartwrenching impact after heartwrenching impact. It’s not big or extravagant, but instead it shows that having to fight… sucks.
Sorry, I think about this particular fight A LOT.
YEAH YEAH i completely get what you mean. your buffer worked - i didn't see this at all until i had already finished the show and compared it to that one part in black (you know, The One). i think, as i chew through everything that happened in this show, that there's more i have to say about kuuga on the whole than i've managed to render right now, mostly about how it feels like they did really manage to distill a lot of the core feelings i've gotten from showa rider into something new and interesting and fun that they could do now that it's in vogue and possible to have the episodes a little more interconnected than they were able to get away with (sans a couple areas, like the 4-episode demon world stretch in black rx) previously.
the setup to the fight really worked for me. i think it was the right choice to watch the last 3 episodes on the same night so that we could start with ichijou, just some guy, just some human guy being the one to kill... that rose lady. you know the one. the one who has been around as a boss from the start of the show and who had a couple faceoffs before with him? you know, the one who, with her dying breaths, told ichijou that she realized humans could be equals to them, capable of the same destruction that they were? that she wished she could have faced off with ichijou again? that lady.
they had been setting the grongi and at least godai up as equals for a while there - there's the obvious stuff with the back and forth "i need to get stronger!" moments but the one in specific that stood out to me was when tsubaki was doing autopsies on the bodies that they were able to recover and he was like oh shit... these guys look just like kuuga on the inside?
kamen rider has this feeling running through it, this essence of "that could have been me, but it wouldn't have been me, couldn't have been me, because i love humanity too much, but i can only say that because after experiencing this, i'm still me," which is an odd feeling to put into words, but i think it's one that many people are familiar with. to come out of something on the other side feeling worn down and miserable but victorious and look back and see other people who have been through the same or similar things to you and for whatever reason, came out the other end differently.
hongo escaping being borged before they were able to complete his brainwashing, yuki being the one picked as a scapegoat and therefore realizing that what was going on around him was wrong, shigeru just straight up being confident enough to manage to trick people into borging him, nobuhiko being chosen as the favorite son just because he was the one who stuck around for a while leaving kotaro able to make his own decisions about what is right and wrong. these are all things that each of the riders did have an active say in, but they're also a bit dependent on luck to fully and correctly pull off. and i think godai also kind of picked up on that vibe. he's both reassuring people that everything is going to be okay because he believes in himself and his love for the people around him, and he does, but he still plans for the off chance that things can go wrong by telling ichijou how to kill him should things really go to shit.
that's it think the thing i took away most from this fight. the visuals are great, the whole thing just feels raw and uncomfortable to watch, which it should! this is the reality of everything that's been going on here behind the suits. we should feel glad that kamen rider doesn't have to fight anymore once this is over. kuuga flirts with this level of reality through the show and they completely full on commit to it at the end. but i think everything leading up to it and the context of the fight really helped me to put my finger this feeling that i've been feeling through the entirety of the show.
so. there you go. those are my stream of consciousness thoughts the morning after finishing kuuga... so much more to think about later!!

I wanna infodump about Sukeban Deka, specifically I wanna (ultimately) talk about a random bit of Sukeban Deka trivia I found out a few days ago that I find interesting.
OK so first: what is Sukeban Deka? Sukeban Deka is a franchise originally created by mangaka Shinji Wada. It's about a 17 year old incarcerated sukeban (female juvenile delinquent) named Saki Asamiya who basically gets blackmailed by the government and promised her freedom if she works as an undercover cop for them in order to infiltrate high schools and deal with youth and is given a yo-yo, which she uses as a weapon and also contains her badge identifying her as a member of the police.
The franchise began as a manga that was originally serialized in the shoujo magazine Hana to Yume from 1975 until 1982. The series originally concluded in January 1978 but, after the disappointing reception to Wada's new manga Pygmalio, Sukeban Deka resumed serialization in February 1979, which Wada regarded as 'Part 2' and was promoted as a new series in Hana to Yume, where it continued to run until coming to its final conclusion in 1982.
A few years after the conclusion of the manga, Toei and Fuji TV adapted Sukeban Deka into a live-action drama series starring idol singer Yuki Saito as Saki Asamiya. The series ran for 24 episodes from April to October 1985 and, because of its popularity, a second season of Sukeban Deka was commisioned.
The second season of Sukeban Deka, officially titled Sukeban Deka II: Shoujo Tekkamen Densetsu (Legend of the Iron Mask Girl), can be regarded as an entirely separate series from the first season, as Saito decided against returning to the role in order to focus on her singing career. Instead, Toei cast idol singer Yoko Minamino and, instead of pretending that Minamino (who obviously looks nothing like Saito) was the same character, turned the name of 'Saki Asamiya' from the characters actual name into a codename, with Minamino's character actually being named Yoko Godai and taking the codename of Saki Asamiya and becoming Sukeban Deka II.
Sukeban Deka II was much more popular than the first season and ran for 42 episodes from November 1985 to October 1986.
After Sukeban Deka II, Toei planned on airing a spin-off series entitled 'Sukeban Ninpucho', which would have focused around ninjas and have taken inspiration from the ninja movies of Sho Kosugi, Wada's own manga Ninja Flight, and Star Wars, with a proper Sukeban Deka III series airing after the conclusion of this spin-off.
However, for one reason or another, this didn't happen and Toei instead combined Sukeban Ninpucho and Sukeban Deka III into a single TV series: Sukeban Deka III: Shoujo Ninpojo Densetsu (Legend of the Girl Ninja Scroll). Just like with Sukeban Deka II, Sukeban Deka III featured a new actress as the main character: idol singer Yui Asaka as Yui Kazama (unlike Yoko Godai, Yui Kazama more often than not was referred to by her real name, rather than the Saki Asamiya name). The series also starred idol singers Yuka Onishi and Yuma Nakamura as Yui's sisters, Yuka and Yuma. Considering the origins of Sukeban Deka III, it ultimately had a much more fantasy bent compared to the urban crime themes of the previous two seasons and, because of these changes, while the series did run for its full-run of 42 episodes from October 1986 to October 1987, it ultimately didn't do too well in terms of audience reception (although the 9th episode of the series was the 8th highest rated episode of any Fuji TV drama series broadcast during the 1980s, with a rating of 21.3%). Original creator Shinji Wada was also critical of Sukeban Deka III, stating that they didn't understand why Sukeban Deka was the way that it was and that if they wanted to do a superhero program, they should have done it elsewhere. (It should also be noted that Wada was disappointed in the first series as well, as he thought it was too different from his vision, but he loved Sukeban Deka II and joked that he would've become a fan of it if it had aired when he was a student).
Meanwhile, during the broadcast of Sukeban Deka III, a movie version of the series was released in theatres in February 1987, simply entitled Sukeban Deka. While this film was released during the airing of the third series, it more serves as a sequel to Sukeban Deka II (as its set after the end of that series), although Yui Kazama also appears in the series.
A movie sequel to Sukeban Deka III was released in February 1988, entitled Sukeban Deka: Kazama San Shimai no Gyakushuu (Counterattack of the Kazama Sisters). In contrast to the TV series, Counterattack of the Kazama Sisters abandoned the fantasy elements and returned the series to the realistic drama and action that made it popular (well, as realistic as a series about a teenage detective who fights with a yo-yo can be).
I feel I also need to briefly mention Shoujo Commando Izumi here as well. Shoujo Commando Izumi is the series that replaced Sukeban Deka III in its timeslot and was originally planned as Sukeban Deka IV but was ultimately retooled into its own thing due to the negative reception to Sukeban Deka III. Unfortunately, Shoujo Commando Izumi was ultimately cancelled due to low ratings and only aired for 15 episodes from November 1987 until February 1988. (Shoujo Commando Izumi ultimately had an average audience rating of 7.12%, compared to a 13.98% average for Sukeban Deka III, 14.3% for Sukeban Deka II, and 13.04% for Sukeban Deka). (I can also, much more briefly, mention Hana no Asuka-gumi [The Glorious Asuka Gang], another sukeban series based on a manga that was produced by Toei and Fuji TV and aired for 23 episodes from April to September 1988. I only briefly mention this one as it was Toei and Fuji TV returning to the sukeban genre, but the series itself isn't at-all related to Sukeban Deka, beyond the genre, like Shoujo Commando Izumi was)
While there may be some debate over this, I personally consider the Sukeban Deka TV series and movies (as well as Shoujo Commando Izumi) to fall under the 'tokusatsu' label and I mean, there's also this:
Tumblr media
A book about tokusatsu heroes of the 1980s that features the second Saki Asamiya on the very front cover and covers the series within the book:
Tumblr media
(Photo shamelessly stolen from this Mercari listing)
So I think it's fair to call it tokusatsu and I will continue to do so.
Anyways, since the conclusion of Sukeban Deka III in November 1987 and the release of Counterattack of the Kazama Sisters in February 1988, the series has had several releases and revivals, although it's nowhere near the level of popularity it was back in the 1980s.
In 1991, a two episode Sukeban Deka OVA was released that adapted the original story arc of the manga, with character designs based on Wada's original manga designs.
Wada also published two one-shot Sukeban Deka chapters set in a parallel universe in the shoujo magazine Melody in 1997 and 1998, two more chapters were published in 2003 in the seinen magazine Monthly Comic Flapper and all four chapters would be published as a tankobon and given the title Sukeban Deka If.
In 2006, Sukeban Deka would return to the big screen with the release of the film Sukeban Deka: Codename = Saki Asamiya, starring Aya Matsuura as K AKA the new Sukeban Deka. The movie also features Hiroyuki Nagato reprising his role as the Dark Director from the 1980s series and Yuki Saito as Saki's mother.
In 2021, ten years after Shinji Wada passed away due to ischaemic heart disease at the age of 61, three new Sukeban Deka series began serialization in the shoujo magazine Monthly Princess: - The Sukeban Deka Who Leapt Through Time - As far as I can tell, this series is about a girl in the modern day who ends up finding a mysterious yo-yo and ends up travelling back in time and having to work with the original Saki. This series began serialization in the February 2021 issue and is written and illustrated by Saori Muronaga - Re: Sukeban Deka - A straight remake of the original Sukeban Deka series with new art. This series began serialization in the March 2021 issue and is written and illustrated by Ashibi Fukui. - Sukeban Deka Pretend: A magical girl/henshin hero based take on the Sukeban Deka concept (and something I am 100% here for) This series began illustration in the September 2021 issue and is written by Sai Ihara and illustrated by Shingi Hosokawa.
If you want to read or watch any Sukeban Deka media, well you are somewhat in luck as several things from this series have been both officially and unofficially translated into English.
As far as official English Sukeban Deka releases go, the two 1980s movies were released by Media Blasters under their Tokyo Shock label in the mid-2000s, ADV released the 1991 OVA on video in 1996 (and later released it on DVD in 2003), and the 2006 film was released on DVD by Magnolia Pictures in 2007 under the title Yo-Yo Girl Cop (which should be noted is the official English name for the 2006 movie. You can easily find copies of all of these on eBay and other online sites (there's also rips of the 80s movies and 90s OVA on Nyaa, but no rip of the 2006 film - so you have to buy a copy of that if you want to see it [unless there's some other site that has a rip or upload of it, I haven't checked admittedly])
As far as unofficial English releases go: the first season of Sukeban Deka has two fansubbed releases: one by Skeweds Translations that is hardsubbed and was released in 2015 and an older softsub release translated by taroroot on D-Addicts in 2009 (unfortunately, I will admit to not having seen the TV series yet, so I can't say which version is better), Sukeban Deka II has been fansubbed by The Skaro Hunting Society, the original Sukeban Deka manga is (currently) being scanlated by HappyScans, with the most recent release being Chapters 23, 24, and 25 back in November. In addition, the two Sukeban Deka video games have also been translated into English.
As of right now, Sukeban Deka III has not been translated into English nor have any of the later spin-off manga been translated.
Now, to finally get to talking about the random bit of Sukeban Deka trivia I learned about recently: let's talk merchandise. During the time of the three Sukeban Deka TV series, the franchise was merchandised. It wasn't as heavily merchandised as other tokusatsu series were, but it still existed.
There were keshigomu figures (I've seen some things online refer to them as SD Sukeban Deka, but I can't find any actual products that label them with that name, so I assume it's just a fan nickname), a Sukeban Deka game (aptly called Sukeban Deka Game) that utilized these figures, a figure of Yoko Godai/Saki Asamiya II was released as part of the Lovely Gals Collection (a line of 1/6 scale figures that also included figures of Kei and Yuri from Dirty Pair and Yu Morisawa/Creamy Mami from Creamy Mami), and figures of Yui, Yuma, and Yuka Kazama from Sukeban Deka III were released part of the Pretty Idol Collection line (another line of 1/6 scale figures that, as far as I can tell from my research [googling the name of the line in Japanese], only consisted of these three figures). There also existed various model and garage kits (the garage kits, as well as the Pretty Idol Collection figures, were all released under Bandai's B-Club line, which was also the name of Bandai's model magazine).
In addition to these physical goods (as well as things like photo cards and albums considering these shows all starred idol singers in the main roles), there was also a Sukeban Deka II video game for the Sega Mark III and a Sukeban Deka III video game for the Famicom.
But there was one piece of merchandise that they didn't make, and it was the merchandise that anyone who even has a vague knowledge of Sukeban Deka would expect that they'd have made because it's the most obvious and would probably be the most popular merch too: they never made merchandise off of Saki's yo-yo.
That's right, despite it being the most iconic element of the entire franchise, there were no Sukeban Deka yo-yo toys released during the 1980s.
Why is that? The answer is simple: Shinji Wada thought that it would be too dangerous because kids would likely try and copy the moves they saw Saki doing with the yo-yo on the TV series and might hurt themselves.
Now, that's not to say there were no officially licensed Sukeban Deka yo-yos at the time, but the two licensed yo-yos were both model kits one by General Products and the other by Bandai.
But if you wanted a full-size Sukeban Deka yo-yo back in the 80s? Well, other companies obviously knew about the series' popularity and wanted to capitalize on the trend, so bootlegs galore:
Tumblr media
(I just shamelessly stole these pics off various Japanese auction site listings and there's obviously tons more bootleg Sukeban Deka yo-yos from the 1980s than just these four)
Eventually, after years of fans clamoring for an official Sukeban Deka yo-yo (even with the end of the TV dramas and the sukeban genre boom), Bandai finally gave fans what they'd been asking for for years.
In 2006, with Shinji Wada's approval, Bandai released two official Sukeban Deka yo-yos, in time for the release of the Codename = Saki Asamiya film.
The first yo-yo, released in October 2006, was this one:
Tumblr media
Sukeban Deka Codename = Saki Asamiya 1/1 Yo-Yo, which was obviously modeled after the yo-yo used in the 2006 movie.
The second yo-yo, released in November 2006, was this one:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sukeban Deka 80's Yo-Yo + Iron Mask Deluxe Set, which included two yo-yos (a metal yo-yo meant as a display piece [the yo-yo in the series is made of metal] and a plastic yo-yo that can be used as an actual yo-yo) and a 1/6 size replica of the iron mask worn by Yoko Godai in Sukeban Deka II.
Unfortunately, if you want to buy these on the aftermarket, well you're in luck if you want the 2006 yo-yo! I've seen that sell online for anywhere from the equivalent of $20-30 (for the record, it retailed for ¥2090).
But if you want the 80s yo-yo set? Yeah that set easily goes for $150+ dollars nowadays (and on US eBay, people want $300 for it) (for context, it retailed for ¥5500).
And so that's it, that's the random Sukeban Deka fact that I learned recently that I found interesting: they didn't release a full-size Sukeban Deka yo-yo, despite it being the most iconic element of the series, during the 1980s when the franchise was at its most popular because original creator didn't want kids to get hurt, but they then finally released one over 20 years later in 2006 because of the new live-action movie.
(Maybe in the future if they ever do something with the Sukeban Deka franchise beyond those spin-off manga, Bandai [or some other company] will release new Sukeban Deka yo-yos)

"THE RED WIDOW" YUKIMORI TROPES
Tumblr media
Adorkable: She is a huge anime/manga/video game nerd, and is especially a tremendous fan of Kamen Rider. She will adorably geek out over any of these things.
All-Loving Hero: While not an Aspect of Love like her mother, Yuki Marie’s cheeriness and bright and happy attitude makes it easy for a lot of people (babyfaces and sometimes even heels) to genuinely like her.
Ambiguously Bi: Yuki Marie has teased that she may have a boyfriend… or a girlfriend… implying she’s as bisexual as her mother.
Badass Adorable: Yuki Marie is cute as a button, sweet and cheerful to boot. But she will throw down with opponents larger than herself with fearless bravado.
Berserk Button: Harm her friends in any way shape or form, she will hold a very strong grudge. And she’ll probably beat you within an inch of your life if you REALLY make her mad.
Beware The Nice Ones: As bright and cheery as Yuki Marie is and as much as she will attempt to befriend her enemies than defeat them… if they go too far, they will most likely hurt.
Bully Hunter: Often calling herself the “Anti-Bully Ranger,” she will defend other kids from being bullied, though she often takes a non-violent approach to it. In the world of pro-wrestling though, she will take a more physical approach to dealing with those who abuse their power.
Character Tic: She says “okie” rather than “okay” in a rather cute fashion, often when responding to people. She also never swears, a trait she picked up from her parents.
Cute Bruiser: She may be cute and petite, but she can still pack one heck of a wallop.
Deadpan Snarker: A trait she picked up from her mother.
Determinator: Oh boy is she ever. Given she channels her fear into raw, focused determination during her matches, it can be pretty impressive. During her match with Habit, she was kicking out of their finishers almost IMMEDIATELY; the fear she felt dealing with someone as demonic as Habit literally kept her going throughout the entire match!
The Ditz: She’s often called a goofball by her peers. Rightfully so considering her overall attitude.
YM (when entering the chat): “I’M HERE AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
Dull Surprise: Given her innate ability to channel fear into determination, her reaction to things that would shock or scare other people is often this. Followed by the response of “oh okay.”
Expy: Yuki Marie has often touted that Hibiki Tachibana (from Symphogear) is her “spirit animal” as they share a lot of similar characteristics. She has also shared similarities with One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy, Kamen Rider Kuuga’s Yūsuke Godai, and Kamala “Ms. Marvel” Kahn.
Fearless Fool: Just as her mother channels her fear into excitement towards fighting stronger opponents, Yuki Marie channels her fear into raw focused determination, and determination into resiliency, making her exceptionally difficult to defeat. She will also leap into certain danger at a moment’s notice to defend her friends, even if it may eventually get her potentially hurt.
Genki Girl: Very energetic, very cheerful. Not a lot can get her down, and if a friend of hers feels down, she’s quick to give them a reassuring hug.
Glowing Eyes Of Doom: Only when she’s in the ring wearing her Yukimori attire; the helmet she has on has a glowing visor.
Hates Being Called Cute: HEAVILY subverted; Yuki Marie relishes in being and acting cute. She even flashes her “Cute Card” as an example!
Heroic Willpower: Despite Habit’s efforts to beat down Yukimori, they were unable to keep her shoulders down for even a ONE COUNT even after hitting their finishers!
Hope Bringer: Yuki Marie is more an Aspect of Hope than anything else, instilling that hope to kids who get picked on by bullies in school. This can also extend into the world of professional wrestling as well, as she would defeat Habit to win her first title, instilling hope for a new, heroic champion.
Immune To Mind Control: It was recently revealed that due to her great x3 grandfather's parentage with the Angel Samael, Yuki Marie's mind (and for that matter, her mother's as well) may be immune to any and all forms of mind control. It is connected to her immunity from insanity, as covered below.
Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Much like her mother, Yuki Marie does not have an evil thought in her head. Even if she has to go to extremes in a match, it’s never out of pure malice.
Insanity Immunity: Connected with her immunity to mind control, it is speculated that Yuki Marie can look directly at an Angel's true appearance and not go insane or die outright upon seeing its eldritch form. This may also apply to Great Old Ones, and perhaps even Cthulhu himself.
Meaningful Name: Her first name is “Yuki” (chosen by her mother) and her middle name is “Marie” (chosen by her father). When spoken in Japanese “Yukimori” can mean “forest snow.”
Nice Girl: Yuki Marie is incredibly empathetic, sometimes even to sworn enemies.
Ninja: Given her mother is one, of course Yuki Marie would be trained as one too. A chunin level kunoichi, she knows how to hide in plain sight, stay as quiet as humanly possible, and use the environment as her shroud... or as a weapon, if need be.
Oblivious To Love: Averted. She has hinted in the past that she might already have a boyfriend (or girlfriend) but that was a bluff. At the moment she in caught in a benign love triangle with two childhood friends; Nora Moning and Shin Aogane. It will remain to be seen which one she will eventually choose.
Plucky Girl: Very brave and very determined in the ring. And sometimes OUT of the ring. She will never give up without a fight because that’s how she was taught.
Screw The Rules, I’m Doing What’s Right!: Yuki Marie will defend people even if doing so would cause her nothing but trouble.
Super Toughness: Fear channeled into determination, determination channelled into resiliency. Meaning Yuki Marie is able to take a LOT of punishment and still manage to get up, win or lose.
Tomboy: Yuki Marie often wears men’s clothing; her primary attire is often a red dress shirt with black tie, blue jeans, red leather buckled boots, a black leather jacket, and fingerless gloves.
Traumatic Superpower Awakening: It appears Yuki Marie has an innate power of some kind passed down from her great x3 grandfather's own power, and it has just began to surface after an incident where Bloody Mary attempted to break her neck. It has manifested in a kind of blue flame (she has mentioned this as a kind of "cold fire") and has even been seen on drone surveillance as sporting wings made of this blue flame.
Waif-Fu: Yuki Marie is a professional wrestler with knowledge of ninjutsu and jeet kune do. She could take down men twice her size!

Okay so technically I have started writing this but I have an AU I’m Very fond of - Kuuga Precure AU
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meet Cures Kuuga and Ichi, aka Godai Yukie and Yashiro Kaoru. Why Yashiro? Because this is Canon to my Canon and Kaoru needs a distinction from Ichijou when writing from his POV. Together they are Okay! Legendary Precure.
(The rest of the main Kuuga cast is also there, mostly as aged down appropriately.)
Okay! Definitely tries to keep to the heart of Kuuga but through a Precure Lense. Set in an AR, it’s a story mainly about choosing to do what’s right, even when it’s hard, but a part of that that makes this still… Kuuga, I guess, is that I try to never shy from the fact that it IS hard. It’s hard and it’s unfair and…
Well, it’s still Precure, so the endings, if nothing else, are hopeful.
Beyond the season proper, Yukie is close with her soul brothers, Godai and Yuusuke. She often visits around crossover time because both have mostly retired. In turn, they helped her heal more from Okay!’s ending.
I will write this properly. Some day. But for now I just have… ideas. So here have vague nonsense.

A list of BL mangas with animal characteristics - PART 1
Hi everyone!! Hope you are doing well. I took my time to make a list of BL mangas with animal characteristics, this is part 1. What I mean by ''animal characteristic'' is that certain parts of the character´s body will be animal parts (ears, tails, etc), but they are not going to be neccesarily omegaverse. Hope you like them :)
Kedamono Arashi /
In this world exist, “normal” human beings and those with ears called “beasts”. Beasts have a unique body that experiences heats/ruts and pregnancy between the same sex is possible. Miyaji Akira is a beast doctor. A beast himself, he defies nature to be one that is not swayed by instincts. Kijima is the hospital director who likes to meddle with Miyaji. Kijima, born with the rare dominant gene, has very strong pheromones which results in him leading a very crazy sex life. Miyaji, although not very good at dealing with the guy and in spite of being the total opposite of him, is tempted by him.
Tumblr media
Omega Shunki /
Kumo from the mountain dog tribe was picked up by Kin from the cat tribe and who lives near a wolf tribe doctor of the omegas, Ise. Whether it be Kumo having the characteristics of a dog, he tends to make playful nibbles and licks towards Kin. However, the fact that Ise was pleased with their excellent compatibility makes Kin’s heart ache.
Tumblr media
Playboy Beast /
In a world where demi-beasts and humans co-exist, Riku Kurobuchi, a panther demi-beast, finds himself facing a dilemma. He is sociable, good looking, talented at sports, and popular with girls, but for some reason he still hasn't experienced his "heat" like everyone else. After an unexpected transfer, he begins sharing his dorm room with the mature and handsome albino lion demi-beast, Touma Shishigaya. Riku wants to keep his secret hidden from the confrontational Touma, but it's Touma's pheromones that bring about Riku's first heat.
Tumblr media
Bakemono no Hanayome /
Hinata's a fox who's become the bride of Kyouya, a member of the wolf pack. Their tribes are bitter enemies, but this marriage should bring about peace. Hinata's disguised as a female at the wedding and has ulterior motives for his soon-to-be husband: he plans to kill Kyouya, who's the son of the wolf pack's leader. The night of their wedding, he tries to carry out the assassination, but Kyouya catches on and he fails. Because he has nine tails, Hinata's even an outcast in his own pack and he decides to wants to die. But, instead of killing him, Kyouya says, "It's time for our honeymoon" and takes him prisoner.
Tumblr media
Musebinake, Junjou /
Yuki has a secret he can't tell anyone: he's actually a beast-person. Yuki has fallen in love with a regular customer, Godai, a man who hunts beasts for a living. If Godai finds out about his identity, their love and chances of being able to see each other will no longer be possible. Yet, Godai who gets chased out of his apartment suddenly ends up freeloading at Yuki's house. Will Yuki be able to hide his secret?
Tumblr media
Yakimochi wa Kitsuineiro /
Akiha came to Tokyo to attend school, but on his first day, he's molested on a crowded train. Surprised by it, he was struck dumb but one young man stepped in to help. As they talked, controlled by the fox he is possessed by, he suddenly hugged the young man to thank him.

Musebinake, Junjou (Manga)
Tumblr media
Genres: Yaoi, Smut, Drama, Supernatural
Status: Completed
Author: Matsumoto Yoh
Favorite Character: Yuki
Favorite Chapter: Chapter 5, and Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Plot Synopsis: Yuki has a secret he can't tell anyone… That he's actually a beast-person. Yuki has fallen in love with a regular customer, Godai, a man who hunts beasts for a living. If Godai finds out about his identity, their love and chances of being able to see each other will no longer be possible… Yet, Godai who gets chased out of his apartment ends up freeloading at Yuki's house…?! A man who hates beasts x A harsh and pure love secret of an innocent beast boy.
The story is cute and good. Cute because of the genre beastmen, but mostly because of Yuki. Yuki is so cute. I love the art. However, it feels incomplete. I wasn't explain what happened to Yuki's mom. Did she just get tired and leave Yuki? What about his dad? Was he killed by an organization that hunts beasts? Also, I want a story about Rou and Omi-san. I want to know what happened to Rou. Wished there was a sequel.

Aguardem.
