ZEXAL was not very popular when it originally aired and had a massive notorious hatedom and was considered to have nearly killed the franchise for pandering to a younger player base and audience, and is responsible for Cardfight!! Vanguard picking up as a franchise.

Also, RUSH I think is ending up. Fine.

If it ends up having issues, it's more on TV Tokyo's end with their ever shrinking anime blocks, as sales of Rush have basically gone up and up and is fairly stable.

So we should continue getting a TV show.

There's honestly no sign RUSH is dying, other than a claim that Go Rush!! is entering its climax without an announced sequel.

But that's because they might well be doing another 26 episodes after this cour.

But no, YGO's gotten more marketable with less tits and ass.

Why do people freak out over Aki being labelled as a "benchwarmer" in Future Colors when that's literally what she is?

People expected the show to give her more than one Duel in the WRGP and it to not become the Yusei-Jack-Crow show.

It's also a general frustration that she had been sidelined in the WRGP/Ark Cradle era of 5D's for Crow, after being billed as the third major character for the Fortune Cup-Dark Signer arc.

(Though apparently a lot of Aki's sidelining was the result of her character being problematic as well as her actress being busy with other show commitments).

People freaked out because Yu-Gi-Oh! got a commited major female character who was a major part of the first 40 or so episodes who then got heavily reduced in scope after that due to acting commitments and the show drawing too much bad attention from moral guardians.

Basically it felt mean spirited, and twisting the knife on an already depressing situation.
