I'm dying over your SVSSS especially 'and I'm reminded of the simple life' you have taken my heart and stomped on it. I've reread it at least 2 dozen times in the last couple of months. And before that it was actually the fix that got me into svsss to begin with.(I followed you from your Naruto fics but that deserves a whole other rant)

It's incredible I adore all parts but especially the twist with you and sj's backstory the way sqh tried to save sj so hard. Even though we as readers know that the system probably took so many points away from him. Also mqf being the first one to really hug sqh the way he was so horrified over sqh blaming himself for his ribs??? I'm on the ground screaming. The sheer level of MUST PROTECT from all the other peak lords???? Yqy fully latching on to sqh as another little brother??? Mobi-jun practicing being gentle???? The way sqh is still so confused about what this going on??? The confession?????? I'm dying.

I cannot wait for a sqh chapter. I have so many questions??? What is the system doing in all this(I adore how it's just looking in the background adding to all of sqhs stress) how is it reacting?? Is the story he told yqy and sj almost the whole truth??? What prompted him to go after sj??? He needs so many hugs and I want all of them to give it to him. He should be hugged 24/7 ( I am dying for a sj hug even though I know thats probably a long way off if ever kind of thing). Also lqq is adorable I love him.

I honestly have had so much fun with the plot of simple life. For a story that started out as a simple one shot, for it to have evolved into the 18 chapter (and counting!) monstrosity that it has become is just SUCH a trip. Amazing.

YQY’s POV was something I’d been looking forward to writing for a long time. I was super excited to actually get to that point in the story where I could finally share it and the reveal! The comments did not disappoint ☺️

It’s good to hear that so many people enjoy reading all the character interactions as much as I do writing them.

Plots of stories are all well and good, but in my humble opinion the relationships between the characters, and the characters own introspections, are a key component what makes stories so engaging.

the moment mbj sees sqh's face there's the classic Ouran flowers framing his face, like this

followed by the wtf realization that these is not legal and the flowers change to blue roses that signify an aura of mystery in his brain (why does mbj know flower language?? It's a rich kid thing. And there are too many flowers in CQ High for some reason. kids with allergies are always complaining)

sqh probably spends the afternoon after his "fortuitous" encounter with mbj freaking out. Aaah is he going to rat me out??? Will I need to bribe him??? Fuck he's not sure you can bribe the Mobei-jun!?!

I think at some point Sqh buys Lbh a stress ball bc one time he almost broke a tea cup that was part of an rather expensive set and Sqh almost fled his body. (It's actually a box of dozens of stress ball. Lbh's hand strength is terrifying)

re: lqg getting sick; he was pressured by the others to ate a luch box made by a fan (lqg is always denying this kind of stuff but it was VIP guest) that in retrospective didn't know how to cook (rich kids and all). he'll never do it again. Sqh had to post an official notice to the host club's social media that Lqg had a very delicate stomach (lqg: I don't!!!!) and unfortunately was unable to receive the love of his fans via food. But fans were encouraged to buy his merchandise! (action figures! Posters! thematic t-shirts!)

In the mind of the lqg fanclub this delicate stomach thing ends up unexpectedly doubling his charm. It has nothing to do with the bl manga Lmy & Co. circulate weeks later, of SY sweetly taking care of LQG in the nurse room. Sqh happily from all of this profits.

Re your SJ take: I LOVE IT OMG tbh I didn't know what to do about him but this is great. We can simply combine them. I still think it's imperative to have the "you don't deserve to be around my brother" scene after Lbh's proposal that SY absolutely reasoned was a platonic thing. After all Lbh is so good with their female guests! (when SY is looking and Lbh wants to impress him) So obviously this is just about Lbh wanting to preserve their senpai-kouhai relationship after school and support SY if he ever finds himself in financial strains!! How sweet, how thoughtful! (SY maintains the same clown behavior and self-delusion that Tamaki has but it's a bit more internalized lol)

(Every guest and every host have a profile. The only ones that have access to them besides MQF are YQY and SQH. Shen Yuan will never find out how many stress balls LBH has broken in his name)

Lmy's written reports to Qqq are just drafts for their future works. She's just killing two birds with one stone lol

Anyway back to the scene of SJ intimidating Lbh into backing off. It would be even more menancing and poisonous after the proposal. It would be a lot like this scene in ep1 of the anime:

SJ will eventually get over his overprotectiveness and let SY do whatever he wants, after being scolded by SY, but he still doesn't like Lbh at all. The dislike is mutual and Lbh smugly clings to SY every time SJ comes to visit (after SJ's ban from the club is lifted) bc he CAN and he knows SJ can't say anything in front of SY anymore. SY is under the impression Lbh is afraid and nervous around SJ so he fondly comforts him with pats and back rubs. They look into each other's eyes: Lbh's own are sparkling and shiny as he gazes up at SY, and SY's smile is so soft and pretty.

(the bingqiu fans are having a heart-attack and fainting in the background)

They look so sickeningly sweet together YQY has to forcibly remove SJ from their proximity and distract him with more courting gifts (YQY has them stored in the club as a back up plan for when stuff like this happens. Which is all the times SJ comes by)

Subscribing to the headcanon of their grades!! This supports the Qqq-YQY friendship. She's scolds YQY for pampering SJ too much, she thinks SJ should be the one to give YQY nice things. They don't know SJ overhears that particular conversation and spends a week brooding and banging his head against a fan trying to think of what he could give to YQY. What can you give to someone who already has everything??? It has to be something meaningful, something unique, and obviously very expensive...

Sqh passing by: Just take him out on a date, Shen-senpai. The only thing he's short on is your time.

Ohhh imagine the second years together in class. SY and LQG are studying buddies and always partner in projects. Post- Mbj bumping into Sqh and starting to visit the host club he goes to Sqh's desk and stoically demands asks him to be his partner. Sqh is too afraid to say no.

btw I'd love the first years to be friends! we know how lbh is but it'd be good for him to have someone else in his year besides nyy he can talk to.

One scene popped into my head before I sat down to write this: Imagine Lbh running down a hallway and suddenly he takes a sharp turn and bumps into SY. All the book he was carrying spill from his hands. Among the textbooks there are not only SY merchandise that Lbh covertly bought from the Host Club online store...

SY: He even wants to support me in this way! Such a dedicated kouhai!
