Working on these three paintings today. The clock is ticking.... let’s see if I can get them all done this week! I’m including the weekend too, just in case you’re wondering. The painting on the left is the corner street sign on Dominion, the middle one is my house and the Cote neighbour, (now Joanne Hamels, ) the last is the Duminowski house on Allowance Ave. Its fun to see how these develop; sometimes I’ll take a picture like this and view it later when I’m doing another task. Finished this one finally today. When I and many families in the river flats went to church, this was the only Catholic one- Christ The King. Many thoughts, good will and neighborly care happened in these walls. Finished this one the other day. If the painting doesn’t get placed in another room, I tend to fiddle with it. One stroke leads to adjusting something else. Best to leave it! I didn’t paint in the tether-ball poles which use to be on the front concrete. I remember the determined faces and the fierce competition (Brenda Hauck) at the is ball game.
