Can I ask for advice?

How do I make friends in college? (I feel like this is such a dumb question, and it comes naturally to everyone, but I'm facing some issues) at the beginning of the year I got acquainted with 2-3 classmates and we became friends (at least I thought we were) one of them confronted me and said something to the meaning of hey I don't think we can be friends anymore, you're not a bad person or anything, we're just not compatible. Since then I (understandably) started hanging out with her less, and as a result drifted away from the others.

(As a reminder, I'm not asking to fix our relationship, just for some advice on how to make/maintain new ones (either now or when I start a new term))

According to what you tell me, I think the most probable thing is that u weren´t compatible with them but hopefully that doesn't discourage you.

College is a place where there are a lot of diversity people and there will always be someone who will be compatible with u.

My advice is to enroll in courses or workshops that u like or are interested in, you´'ll be able to hang out with people with similar interest and you'll have time to get to know each other. Also, I don't know what it'll be like where u live, but what I do a lot is interact through social media and slowly form a friendly bond, ofc u have to start with small interactions.

Something that helped me a lot to make friends when I started university was daring to talk first with people who seemed friendly or who were lonely like me :)

I know that soon you'll find friends that u are compatible with, in fact, I hope that u already have.
