2022 roundup! (In no particular order) 1. #SearchHistoryUCB: The return of my faves!🥲 I can’t tell you how much joy they bring me! So fun w/ @spanishaquipresents I’m incredibly thankful to them & @ucbtla/@raizalicea for allowing me to continue shooting their show, just like before the pandemic! 🙏 I adore you all! 💗 2. @encantomovie at the Hollywood Bowl: So happy to see this live. I’m such a fan of @stephaniebeatriz/movie, so seeing this one-time concert was such a dream!✨🦋✨ 3. “The Return of the Christmas Witch”🎄🧙‍♀️❤️‍🔥 @plazadeaubrey AND @abbijacobson? Yes please! + getting a picture with Aubrey/Dan & a signed book, woof😻 4. Tina Fey & @amypoehler in Conversation 👯‍♀️💞 I LOVE these 2 queens separately, so seeing them together feels unfair. 😍 5. @evelyne_brochu 2021 tour compilation: I won’t ever get over Évelyne’s tour. It has been my favorite trip and continues to feel like a fantasy. 💫🙏♥️ 6. @shehulkofficial premiere. I love the show & I’m glad @tatianamaslany is She-Hulk. She absolutely nails the part. It makes me so happy.🥹💚 7. @lastimprovshow: I found LIS randomly & it has been such an unexpected/wonderful surprise. Not only do I get to see brilliant shows bi-monthly, but I get to collaborate w/ amazing people (@danblackattack/@christinacalph) while filming the show. It brings me joy to get to work on my photography/videography skills on one of the best rotating improv casts. @notneilcasey @paulbwelsh I’m so incredibly grateful to be a part of the team. 🙏🥰♥️ 8. @comedypoleshow: Ditto to everything said about Last Improv Show, since they are sister shows, but I get to see amazing comedic acts as well as amazing pole dancers! Thank you Christina/Dan! 💞 9. One year ago today, I left my internship at #YoungStorytellers and the city of Los Angeles to begin my post-grad life back in Menlo Park. Little did I know, God, the Universe, and Bill Thompson all work in mysterious ways. What happened instead of my [lack of a] plan is that this amazing organization took a chance on a smole bumbling college grad and I got to start my career working for the place that combined all of my passions: arts, service, and working with youth. Since then, I’ve met many many kids, trained dozens of volunteers, learned some graphic design, helped design a workshop, and gotten to work with amazing people who are passionate about storytelling with a huge heart to serve. I have grown immensely from who I was a year ago and am ABSOFRUITLY ecstatic to keep growing while I shift my role to focus on the aspects of my job that I am truly the most passionate about as the Training and Curriculum Specialist at Young Storytellers! A million thanks to my wonderful YS community who reminds me daily why we do what we do.
