Ok so I know this has probably been suggested before but what do you think about the queen’s ‘unfortunate romance’? I know she is just calling the relationship forbidden, probably because of that person not being from the upper class, but hear me out: the queen is a closeted bisexual and had a romance with a headmistress’s sister (I don’t think it could be with the headmistress herself because it seems like there’s a significant age difference:). This woman understands Wilhem’s situation to a deeper level than other people do, because she witnessed the queens previous relationship and its sad development when they were both much younger. I don’t know if this is possible because maybe the dates don’t add up or something, but let me know what you think!
