I never ever make posts like this but I've been watching Agents of SHIELD for seven years and it just got me thinking of all the memories I have surrounding this show.

I can't even wrap my head around how different my life was like when I first started watching. I had just started my last year of high school, and I remember being excited about it ever since their comic con reveal a few months earlier. I remember sitting down and learning how to spell Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet because I told myself this was going to be the start of something good.

I remember my mind being blown after Turn, Turn, Turn. I remember binge watching season 2A, so engrossed by it after finishing a tough first semester of uni. I remember watching the Dubsmash War and every SDCC interview under the sun in an empty classroom in between project deadlines, wishing I was there watching their panels instead. And I would be, 4 years later.

I remember the realization in Season 3 that I was utterly and irrevocably cannot-function-anymore Fitzsimmons trash. I remember watching the Season 3 finale on a bus during a class trip. I remember wearing my lucky AOS shirt when my friends surprised me with a birthday cake on that same trip. I remember always swapping stories with my cousin where I'd tell her what's happening on AOS and she'd tell me what's happening on Arrow and The Flash.

After that, my best friend started watching AOS. I remember her blowing up my phone in class after she watched the Fitzsimmons LMD Reveal. I remember going to her dorm every Saturday morning to watch the latest episode together, dressed in my lucky AOS shirt of course. I remember us watching the 100th episode in the early morning and completely losing our mind.

And last summer she took me under her wing as she showed me around SDCC. We saw this same cast in the flesh at Hall H and later waved to them from a distance at the signing booth completely dumbstruck and I'm still not convinced that this wasn't some crazy joke or an elaborate dream.

And now, watching this season after a yearlong hiatus really felt like coming home. And even today, this week, under the most horrible of circumstances I was still able to find comfort in this show and this fandom. So thank you AOS for everything. ❤
