my hottest mouthwashing take is that swansea would not fucking be a found family father figure to daisuke. you just know that man is NOT paying child support for his already existing kids.

The Utena fandom is like a safe haven away from The-Curtains-Are-Just-Blue anti-intelectual type "Media Consumers" who hate media analysis because they've never had an independent thought in their life and disregard the work that comes into making a film, a show or writing a book since to them art is just "Content". It's like the "flipping burgers" argument but for art. They think the creators, the crew working at these things are just doing whatever the fuck thoughtlessly instead of bringing their creativity, knowledge, skills and perspective into their work. They make fun of those who study, who write, who find meaning where they can't see it, who work at improving at a skill or a craft while they just spend their time Consuming, because they can't stand how the rest of the world isn't ignorant like them and it makes them feel insecure about themselves.

dunno who needs to hear this but people in the 18-23 age bracket are not 'grown-ass adults'

People here on Tumblr are so scared to acknowledge that people do in fact get pregnant in their 20's and that it isn't inherently always a bad thing

I honestly cannot believe I have to post something like this but I am absolutely begging you to fact check your posts and/or provide a source. It is breathtaking to me that people are out here posting reassuring thought pieces about media literacy and that Somerton dude and 'don't feel bad if you fell for a conspiracy post,' and then following it with an unsourced twitter screenshot about a world event.
I am not asking you to fly across the world and find primary sources, I am asking you to link to a publication with at least a bare minimum of editorial and fact-checking staff. This is not a big ask and not that hard. Just get yourself in the same fucking room as a newspaper. If you can't do that, then don't fucking reblog it.
No source. No reblog. End of story.

wanted to share an almost full-body pic for the first time in probably almost a decade because for once I'm actually proud of how I'm progressing and think that the changes I'm making will end up being permanent bc I'm genuinely enjoying them. Plus, the few selfies I have shared over the last five years have been very photoshopped and at flattering angles, so I feel like most of y'all don't know what I actually look like. So this is me in my children's theater teacher fit last monday!
I'm 17 lbs down from my highest ever weight, but my trainer thinks I'm probably up at least ten to fifteen lbs in muscle. I'm cooking my own food, eating more reasonable portions, and going to the gym at least five times a week because I want to, not because I feel shame or guilt. And now that I'm working as hard as I am, I'm a lot less triggered by looking at new pictures of myself because I know I'm doing my best. I'm still obese, and probably will be for awhile more, but I'm starting to appreciate what I look like and feel like. And hopefully it'll just get better from here!

One of the worst parts about watching and slightly being apart of the Omori community was watching people completely misunderstand the whole point of the game. It was also infuriating to watch every second post be a cancel post on some random artist that spirals into a horrific mess, it's like coming home and finding your cats trying to tear eachothers throat out every single day

every time steven universe gets popular again, I am reminded why it shouldn't be, and it's not because of the art; it's because of the fandom lmao

I mean this so seriously: stop parenting random people on the internet. It's weird, annoying, and 99% of the time you just sound incredible patronizing.

okay, I’m the paldea AU, I’m imagining that Emmet tries to look up “Clive’s” grades to make sure that this student isn’t ruining his education with operation starfall. But he searches the roster of every single class and he can’t find Clive! Emmet has to go to the top, and inform Director Clavell of this oversight!
because of this, Clavell has to create an entire fake student profile, and make Clive’s entire story more believable. Perhaps getting some of the other professors in on it? I think that would be funny.
WHEEZES. Clavell never thought he'd have to go this deep for his cover story, but he'll do it if it means he won't be discovered. I don't think he'd get any of the other professors in on it, because honestly I think it's funnier if he's working to hide it from them too. Professor Tyme absolutely cannot find out, that's for sure. She'd see through him 100%, no question.
Meanwhile, Akari and Ingo watching 'Clive' and just exchanging a look. That's Director Clavell, right? Right????
