This is because I got artblock 2-3 years ago and only drew study sketches and I was reading Impulse95 at the time. Subsequently the way I draw Bart is just a sliding scale my own style and Ethan Van Sciver's depending on how detailed I want to draw him.

Combined with cryptocism's style/design for Three, this was a good hybrid mash between all styles.

Anyway, it'd been a while since I've done a comic page.

Like, a real story comic page and not just some poetic panelling I tend to lean to. Gutted I haven't been able to finish this. I was having fun with this even if it was giving me conniptions at time. It was a challenge I was so ready to tackle. It felt good. Really good.

I really want to get back into making comics again.

Thank you!! <3 :D Also i get this question alot, and i havent answered bc im unsure how to do a tutorial, but!! I'll try! <3 I'll start with a list of brush packs I personally love! I use Procreate on the ipad :3 *100+ Manga/ComicBook Brush Set for Procreate ($4.99USD) *Ghibli Inspired Brushes 2 for Photoshop and Procreate ($8.80USD) *Sinix Procreate Set (Free) And, not a brush pack, but one of my favourite resources! *3D Posable Skull Ref For sketching/lining, I like to use a square brush! I like the sharper edges :3 I don't really line anything anymore, I prefer cleaning up sketches. While cleaning up, I like to clean up the edges as well, manually adjusting line weight. You'll see what I mean in this speedpaint here! (mild flash warning)

For my rendering, i block out my shading (i try to use colours complimentary to the bg colours, or one's that compliment the character's colours!) Shading set to Multiply and lighting set to Add or Colour Dodge! And then I use the syrup brush (in the default inking brush set) to do my blending. I can't rlly give any real tips here, I just try to make my brush strokes work with the curves of the pose ^^; I also don't try to clean up my brush strokes, as I prefer the messiness of them :3 I'm still learning more about art, myself, and I frequently try to watch tutorials when I can! I highly encourage artists of any skill level to freshen up with tutorials from time to time! Here's my personal playlist:

SKULL SHAPE: I was actually surprise by this, i REALLY didnt expect that😳😳😳 is the head shape that unique??? caz i used to see it everywhere- (twitter mostly) actually, there's kinda a reason behind why i choose this shape :) im really bad at drawing skulls, esp when its complicated, so i simplify it as much as possible to avoid an extra hour on the skull alone☠️ (my average time to draw head this style alone is fucking 10-15 minutes, THE HEAD ALONE OMG- just sketching no color NOTHING-)

EXPRESSION/FACES: i never thought ppl will say that too tbh, i thought i draw expression like many other ppl🥹 maybe ppl see Ink as the most expressive tho, since he IS 💖💖💖 when i draw characters, there's nothing behind those expression, i draw them mindlessly and brainless-😭

THE ONE LINE BROW THING: maybe this i can agree lol :)) I've been inspired alot from Japanese and Korean artstyle + itsroxxanex. Sooooo i did that, my friend used to kinda mock me ab it so i change to 2 brows for a while but IDK ONE BROW IS MY THING- it took just less space and i love simple things <3

SHADING: hmmm i dont really know ab this tho 😭😭😭 i think my way of shading is very generic. The only thing i think made my art pop is the highlights. Im kinda obsessed with light so jajdhdjsod I WANT LIGHT EVERYWHERE. Watching too much RossDraws just made me obsessed with color dodge- ...the shadows i just use default brush and mutiply and sometimes at more colors, thats it 🥹💖

JUST YOUR ARTSTYLE!: i dont think i have an artstyle yet 😭 idk i still change my style alot since June and im still growing, i changed my brushes almost every week and overall just utmost chaos. I somewhat still not satisfied with my artstyle, i want to soon find an artstyle that by just a glance you'll know its me😳😳😳 (ik its kinda weird)

Some others I'm into but not that crazy about: Touhou, Madoka Magica, Princess Tutu, Tsubasa Reservoir chronicle, Totsokuni no Shoujo (and more but my head is empty). I like seinen, josei and a very specific brand of shonen: aka things enough to mess up my brain. I don't enjoy romance, sexual things(says the Fate fan..HAH. but seriously,I don't.), or mecha unfortunately

I collect figures,so you'll see them here,but since ,as you can see,most of my faves are a bit on the below the radar side,there hardly are any figures... you'll see custom figures here,and orginal character figures because I like those too.

I like a lot of things,but mostly whimsical, folksy aesthetics,forests and plants, and glowy flowers and things like wisp motifs (there's no limit actually).My favourite colours are,as you might have guessed, the multitude of shades of red, deep maroons and browns. I love fantasy,and folk tales and Celtic things in general have been my passion for a long,long time ,though I also love things inspired by Alice in Wonderland .

As far as music goes...I sang soprano at a choir for a larger part of my teenage,and choral music is very close to my heart. My favourite genres of music are Celtic, especially Irish traditional, new age, classical/neo classical, sea shanties,and whatever Yuki Kajiura and Mili have going on.

Now...art! When not doing fanart,I like drawing fantasy illustrations, and one day I'd like to illustrate books but that's a pipe dream. I'm self taught,and use mostly watercolour and ink. I also love sculpting. It started with trying to sculpt figures and while that's still what I do most,I sculpt other things too,and in general it has to be the favourite of my scores of hobbies . I also do bookbinding...and music box strips ...and doll customs...yeah there's no rhyme or reason to what I do and don't actually.

Sometimes I post photos of plants,I like taking photos and smelling wet mud

I hate how depraved my mind got cause while reading ur post where Azul’s dumbass killed an artist and reader has to pose in their stead, my initial though was “wow, that’s acc a pretty cool concept oh but wouldn’t it be cute when reader gets closer to the trio that they paint with each other and it would be so adorable to see them all improve in painting too 🥰”, which was immediately followed by “I bet that most times whenever reader has gotten art block the twins help give them some “inspiration” by having sex with them on the canvas”. There’s so much else I want to say cause I love this concept but for now all I’ll say is that 9/10 times readers works, specifically the paint, may or may not contain some cum and other fluids from the sessions.

Oh, that's so good!!! The twins give you the best "inspiration" and are then promptly scolded by Azul because they've broken so many canvases now with how rough they've gotten during their little "inspiration" sessions. I think they'd probably film/photograph some of it just for pose references (and for their own personal enjoyment).

Azul gives you his ink for when you want to practice on blank notebooks. He's very pleased when he sees the masterpieces you manage to sketch with his ink, and he'll frame each and every artwork, even the nonsensical scribbles you threw into the rubbish bin. He flattens and smooths them out on his desk and he feels so warm inside when he realizes that your precious hands crafted these very masterpieces with his ink. Floyd thinks he's too sentimental, but Azul is very happy to add to his secret room of art pieces (a space dedicated solely to you).

Jade teaches you about nature drawings and he'll occasionally take you out for nature hikes, where the two of you find a nice shaded area and will sketch and doodle the flora and fauna you happen to spot. If it ends with you pressed against a tree, with Jade rutting into you, that's okay! Sex is a great way of breaking pesky art block.

Floyd likes to do that thing where the two of you finish each other's art. You'll start a sketch and so will he and then the two of you will switch and continue where the other left off. It's always a good time and you can never guess what additions Floyd will make to your art. He has definitely fucked you while you're in the process of painting. He'll smear paint into your skin in delightful patterns and when paint bores him he'll use his cum to decorate you in pretty, pearly white.
