Given that fae can leave the realm whenever and use glamour to disguise themselves as human, what’s stopping a freshly turned fae from going back to the human realm and pretending nothing ever happened (except now they have cool powers and can’t lie)?

They'd have to learn how to glamour first, along with how to travel back and forth at will. But also there are still dangers to the fae in the human realm, such as iron or those who can break a fae's glamour and expose them. They also wouldn't have the fae realm's rules as available to them, so only small trades would work.

There are fae who live for long periods in the human realm though, so it is certainly possible.
