curly: he's the best!! well, not the best in general but the best captain (i assume at least)!!! He's always super like, motivational and kind to us all and its honestly really helpful when you're having a bad day!! And I like his accent, no idea where its from, somewhere British but dunno which- Oh and I like teaching him the "gen z lingo" even if he doesn't really get it, like that time if he asked me if anya thinks I'm sigma- (mod: true story)

swansea: okay so, swansea is super strict and stuff but, dude, he's like the BEST teacher ever!! i feel like I've learnt more from him then i have in any random tutor session, even if i still mess up a lot.. Sometimes it's a little awkward, if he's angry at me or whatever but he never lets me actually stay upset over anything!! he secretly cares a lot, i know it!

hello :) had some more thoughts about blink of an eye (this one is mostly about part 2)

i remember the first time I read this fic; i was super intrigued by the fact that you didn’t mention much about posie in part 1 so the ending for part 1 built a lot of anticipation and questions.

which is why i loved how this fic starts with posie and the reader, it explores their personalities and backstory and establishes their relationship (which btw is very cute, many hugs for posie)

reader carrying posie by her ankles is giving that chris hemsworth meme at the beach

the wedding video is so cute and sweet. i can imagine looking back at old home videos and feeling all warm and fuzzy.

If posie has seen the video multiple times and Ale was there at the wedding as the reader’s date, does that mean posie vaguely recognizes her? theories are theorizing

Hehe alexia’s introduction makes her sound like a mystery movie character, one second, she’s looking over, hiding behind a baseball cap and sunglassess and the next second shes gone, vanished into thin air (dun dun)

aah I think alexia’s anxiety/anger/overemotional reaction sums up her feelings for the main character. i like the way you’ve laid out her thought process and rambling it conveys a lot about her feelings for the reader and the present situation. her interaction with alba and eli is also good insight into their thoughts about the failed proposal

this reaction is very on-brand for the way alexia was setup in part 1. She just rushes into things without much thought, it’s a double-edged sword, it can be a good thing, but it also can backfire from time to time. for example, it didn’t seem like it took a lot of convincing for alexia to seek out the main character, and in part 1 she didn’t think much about the main character’s reaction to the ring before diving in head-first with her proposal.

I like how you shift POVs to give more and more context to the story, a from the reader’s pov then a bit from Alexia’s pov too. its not an overload of information, it is spaced out and cushioned (I appreciate this because my adhd brain tends to read over long expositions)

alexia has always been a very rationale person on the football pitch but then off of it she really just can’t help but go forth from her heart and not her head, and let the immense wave of emotions associated with r overtake that more calculated and thought out approach she would normally take toward a problem

i love being able to add more detail and depth to all of the personalities of posie and r as we go on, and there’s definitely more of that + the two different POV’s in part 4 which i’ve been working on!!!

take your time to go through stuff & no need to read or absorb it all right away. feel free to keep this post bookmarked to look back on whenever you need it as well.

💖 welcome to raine's stupidly-long guide to starting tumblr rp! 💖 qualification: i've had this blog for 11 years. fml disclaimer: still all just from my perspective, i'm just one gal with opinions hehe

start out by making a new blog for your character. (i wouldn't recommend starting out with a sideblog personally, since you can't send asks from them). choose a url that feels relevant. i'm always a fan of the ol "smush two words together that sound nice" technique — ie, my other blogs are huntershowl and icarusplunged — which never seems to fully go out of style. really you can do whatever feels right to you :)

the most important part of setting up an rp blog is creating a rules page and, if you're writing an OC, an about page. the rules set up your boundaries, your wants and don't wants, anything you want someone to know before they follow you. the about page should give new partners everything they need to know about your character — personality, appearance, setting/lore, any backstory you want to display publicly.

feel free to look around at different rpers' rules pages and use them as inspiration! as long as nothing is copypasted and everything is your own original content, which brings me to etiquette.

etiquette!

'tis largely an Unspoken Thing in the rpc (rp community), and breaching it can def make people feel uncomfortable (even though that's something that Should be in rules pages, most of us forget haha). here are the things i can think of off the top of my head:

the way to reach out to new people is simply to follow them. that's all you gotta do! if they don't follow back, don't push, just unfollow them after a few weeks and move on. it's almost never personal!

in that vein, if someone's blog is private/selective/mutuals-only, wait to interact until they follow back.

once they do, it's up to you how you want to move forward — usually i'll wait until they post some sort of interaction call for you to like. a starter call, a plotting call, orrrr if they reblog an ask meme (which is like a list of sentence prompts! you can choose one from the list and send it as an ask, which they can use as an rp starter.) you can also just IM them though :)

don't reblog non-rp content (ask memes, quotes/imagery, etc) directly from another rp blog, it clogs up their notifications! just reblog from the original post instead.

don't interact with other people's threads (liking or reblogging, but feel free to read them and talk about them ooc!), and only respond to a starter if it's labeled as open — otherwise it was probably written for another rper specifically.

try not to prod people too hard if they haven't responded in a while. some folks are okay with being reminded about a forgotten thread a few weeks after replies stall out.

always tag nsft (not safe for tumblr, the other acronym gets flagged/hidden) and very upsetting content — gore, SA or abuse mentions, etc. i've seen some people starting to use "dead dove do not eat" as a catch-all for super dark content, but honestly that phrase gives me the heebiest of jeebies so i prefer to go with individual tags

general platformless rp etiquette rules apply: don't steal other people's content, don't assume or control the other character's actions/thoughts/etc.

be kind to each other, most of all. communicate when you have a problem with someone, rather than making a vague/callout post about them. that being said, i'm a proponent of the block button — blocking people is okay! it's not a big deal. this is a hobby space and no one is entitled to you. advocate for yourself!!

okay that was a long section, whew! lil break. take a sip of water. have a snack mayhaps.

now: RP STRUCTURE (the fun part)

we don't really do "script" style rp on tumblr — it'll usually, if not always, be in prose/paragraph form. formatting is a fun touch, but not necessary. as you can see, i'm using small text here with some little chunks of text in bold/italic or regular size text to add some visual interest. again, not necessary! experiment, figure out what you like!

lots of people will use icons of different sizes — 100x100 is the most common, but they really do vary. i would suggest going smaller rather than bigger (like don't use full post-width gifs or icons, try to keep them under half the size of the post? that's the most common vibe at least.)

icons can be used to "illustrate" your character's expression among a bunch of text, if you want Visual Spice. but they are soooo not necessary! totally up to you.

there are lots of rp resources out here for cool coloring psd's and graphic templates for ya blog. create something fun and pretty that you like! <3

to reply to a thread, reblog it and add your post.

important: i highly recommend downloading and installing XKIT in your browser. it's an extension that lets you trim posts to the last two reblogs (common around here), customize your blog experience, and just makes it a lot easier to exist on tumblr haha.

prompt 12: Who's the secret romantic?

Answer is simple: KEITH.

Pidge is pretty romantic too, but probably less than him!

I wont spoil other prompts or anything but let me tell you more about this!

Keith is probably the last one in the team that was expected to be romantic... But, well, when it comes to Katie, he wants to give her the world and to cherish her as much as he can... Basically, he needs to express his love for her.

I feel like it is mostly because during a long part of his life, he wasn't receiving any affection and less giving some. Now he can, and he loves this. ( He is so scared to lose her that he does as much as he can)

He likes to do special stuffs for her like: when she comes back home, he would ( if she is tired) give her a lil massage and bring her dinner while she finish her work.) And, as I said in a previous headcanon, when he was fully into space with the blade of marmora, he would send her gifts. Especially for valentine... ( And they weren't a couple yet...)

She obviously love that attention that he gives her and she returns it very well. She would be very cuddly with him, especially after work and make sure he feels ok. She knows that he had a complicated past and that he often feel worried about losing people that he cares about. She would reassure him a lot.

Keith obviously loves to take her on rides at night or to walk in the nature with her while she prefers a cuddly night in bed with a good movie... BUT! even if the would prefer things to be their ways, they would do whatever the other wants. As long as they're together... Besides, they both like night rides or cuddly nights, they just have preferences... And they also have their own way to express their love and to be romantic.

(also, Keith never organize public stuffs for them, he knows that she doesn't like it when there are too many people around or when they can't be intimate. She prefers cozy stuffs.)

Prompt 22: Who's more likely to plan a romantic bath for two?

Hehe, both. But they do not do it often... They're busy people!!

They started to REALLY do it when after their wedding ( before, they would just shower together after a spicy night...)

Nahh, more romantic baths started later. Pidge suggested the idea. They were sat in the couch and she would mention it. They then ended up trying it.

It wasn't a fancy bath with candles and stuffs, they just had music and obviously, they played with the lather like kids ( making themselves beards out of it and stuffs...) Wasn't that romantic.

They then started to do it more often but these times, they would just relax together. Soft music and just enjoying, talking and relaxing.

When they had kids, they would do it less, they barely had time for that... So, it would happen when the kids are asleep or when the kids aren't home. Just them, relaxing together and sharing a sweet moment. ( Funfact, they had LEDs in their bathroom for that exact occasion. )
