His face lit up with a small smile. "I want you by my side…" A pause. The look in his eyes expressed hope and innocence as he asked for one more favour from his friend. His heart rate increased as he asked, "Will you?". He was overwhelmed by emotions and nerves. Eiji endured too much in this lifetime, and now he wanted peace. Ash deserved that more than anyone else. His gaze turns to the bright jade eyes of Ash - the eyes that had softened only for him -and though he had yet to understand that, he felt the same way.
