i don't understand how people can get soooo mad at trans people for getting gender affirming surgeries while teenage girls getting the same surgeries is not only societally fine but also shoved down KIDS' throats?

like one of these things is a possibly life-saving operation that makes the person feel comfortable and happy with their body

the other is a procedure that people only choose to get because the internet and society pressures them into doing it, is often forced upon people by their parents, is often chosen to be gotten by people with insecurities and mental illness, and never actually makes anyone feel better because it's not the solution to their mental illness, and often leaves people regretting that choice.

the first is trans people getting boob jobs/reductions. the second is women and teenage girls getting breast implants.
