What are your thoughts on Moominvalley's comet special?

I talked a little about it in this other ask response, but overall I was disappointed. I think it's quite telling that the part of it that made me the most emotional was the opening credits 😅

Someone else said it was "underwhelming" and I think that's a good descriptor for it. The rest of the season as a whole already didn't really feel final enough to me, and you'd expect the finale to make up for that and give you that big feeling of wrapping up the whole series in a satisfying way, but it just didn't hit that mark for me.

The actual journey in the first half just wasn't as epic and exciting as I was hoping it'd be, and I think that's partially due to them using elements from Comet in previous episodes so they didn't wanna reuse them again, like the stilts (though surely they could've brought them back...). The cave Moomintroll and Snufkin end up in also feels like a missed opportunity - it's such a beautiful setting, but all they do there is panic, then see the Hemulen, then he leads them out. Idk what exactly they could've done instead, but surely there was something interesting the writers could've come up with to utilise that space more.

The way Snufkin brought up the sun oil was so awkward and forced; I know it was to establish it so that Sniff could have his whole stinky salesman arc in the latter half, but it's really weird how he explains its origin to his friends again even though all of them apart from Snork were there in Fire Spirit! Speaking of, that was a real step down for Sniff, and I would've preferred him to have an arc surrounding the kitten instead. Maybe he spends the time trying to gain its trust or something, and then at the end, finally manages to do so and rescues it to bring it back to the cave.

And speaking of the cave, I didn't like that change, either (honestly I just think I disliked most of the changes they made from the novel tbh lol. like I get they don't just wanna rehash it and want this to be new and original to an extent, but sometimes that can go too far, or just in the wrong direction). It's just really stupid for them to be like "we need to face our fear and face the comet!" it's a COMET! It's not a mysterious noise you hear in the middle of the night that you can investigate, it's a big hot rock that'll kill you all!! And then Groke moves towards it, and ~something~ happens, but this is a family show so they have her moan again at the end to show she's still alive and I love Jack but his delivery of "I'm so relieved" is so weirdly flat that it doesn't help how awkward and unnatural this ending is lmao.

Now this is more of a personal gripe, but I don't like how Snufkin is positioned at the end. When they're facing the Groke, he's right next to Moomintroll, which I like (and also brings to mind Night of the Groke when they faced her together), but then after the white flash, he's not only nowhere near Moomintroll, but not even near their friends? And he walks away WITH THE POLICE INSPECTOR?! Like thank god Joxter doesn't know he's his dad he'd have a heart attack if he found out his son was so chummy with the cops smh. You could maybe argue this isn't even just a personal complaint, and that Snufkin has objectively been one of Moomintroll's most important relationships in this series, so for them to not have some kind of moment or interaction at the end feels wrong.

Something I was going to discuss in that other ask reply but I ultimately deleted because I couldn't find the words at the time was Little My's characterisation. This season in particular made me feel as though she's so, like, mad all the time. And I understand that anger is her thing, but it's usually a cheery kind of angry, you know? But in this series she sometimes just seems so frustrated and upset and although I like that it explores the more emotionally dramatic side of her, I was hoping that by this final season at least she'd be in a more comfortable and happy place. But in this Comet special she's so exasperated and moody with Moominpappa and I wish they just made it feel more like daughter-light-heartedly-poking-fun-at-her-dad, I guess?

Snork is interesting in this special because he plays quite a big role in it, but I also feel so sorry for him cause he's always getting cut off or used by Pappa and Sniff who don't properly listen to him and I just want to give him a big (figurative bc he hates hugs) hug my poor smart boy let him infodump. There's also a moment where he says "I can explain-" and his sister says "Thanks, Snork, but we really need to carry on!" which is so obviously the writers trying to squeeze in Snorkmaiden's characterisation from the book where she's practical in the face of her brother's long-winded meetings, and is a great example of the feminism of her character there, but it just doesn't quite work the same here. Once again just not as natural as it should feel.

On a positive note, I LOVED the look of the comet itself - every shot of it looked so cool and it changed the lighting of the valley in a fun and interesting way. I also liked how Jarmo and Samuli gave the score of the episode a funky sci-fi sound, which helped set it apart as something special for the series. And despite all my negatives, it's still entertaining! It's enjoyable to watch! Just, for someone who had expectations based on the whole series and the novel, underwhelming.

He was often given the worst jobs when he had to be away from Jack. Or tripped or pushed or made the butt of snide jokes. The rumors about being Jack's appointed pet slut also dug under his skin. He found himself wishing the Orange Spectronizer would break in again, and either kill him or whisk him far away. Not anywhere near the Coinless. They'd undoubtedly want him dead too. But maybe the other dimension Jack was from. It'd be nice.

"I…" Jack to his credit had put a bit of space between them, but he again had that apologetic look. "I'm pretty sure your actual job is prying into my business so…we can't actually leave each other alone? But if you want to just do the guard bit right now…fine."

Jack watched him quietly from his seat on his bed. Ollie gripped his head and let out a short scream of frustration. "I'm not even supposed to be here! This is all your fault!" He shouted. "You and your fucking obsession with Adam! I shouldn't be alive! I should be dead! Like Aiyon!"

When Aiyon's name left his lips he froze, everything rushing to him in a deep realization. Jack was looking at his folded hands, the red hair all Ollie could see. Ollie wished he'd look up again. "I don't need your pity." He spat after a moment.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Jack asked finally. "Actually talk."

Ollie crossed his arms over his chest. "Fuck off."

"Trust me. Picking a fight isn't going to make you feel better." Jack said quietly. "Punishing me will just make you feel worse."

Ollie drew his knees to his stomach. "I always thought I liked girls." He said with a faint shrug. "Never really thought about it. Didn't need to. My mom was an archaeologist and I followed her around you know? Drakkon had taken over but it took a while for me to feel it. Got to a small town, made friends…" he drew in a shaky breath. "…they died."

"And Aiyon?"

"He woke up out of a cyrostasis. When he went in dinosaurs were still walking around. By the time we met I was with the Coinless. People didn't like me, but he liked me. Didn't know if I was being honest, at first. But even before I realized…being with him was better than being alone."

Ollie sniffed as he rubbed at his eyes angrily. "We tried to get medicine. Here, we figured it'd be easier. Got caught. He died. Infection." Ollie's lips stretched into a macabre grin as he fought with the tears that threatened to fall. "I'm a traitor because Drakkon needed someone to use against you. And you aren't even doing what you're supposed to!"

"…do you even like men?" Jack asked quietly. "Aside from Aiyon. I don't..doubt you loved him I just." A soft huff. "I don't operate on mixed messages, Ollie."

Ollie wrapped his arms around his legs and rested his cheek on his knees. "It's easy to lean into it when its my job." He admitted. "You're my job. It'd be easier to do this if I could just pretend you're just my job. But you keep being nice to me!"

"But do you-"

"I don't know!" Ollie shouted. "I don't know if I like me or if I'm desperate and scared. I don't know if I like you! I don't know! I haven't felt anything for years and I don't know if I can tell you if I can tell!" He buried his face in his knees with his arms wrapped around them. "The suit doesn't even feel right." He said, it coming out muffled. "Eugene says that's not uncommon. But it always feels like it doesn't fit even when it does."

Ollie heard Jack get off the bed and walk to sit next to him. "My dad brought my mom from earth to the danciverses." Jack said. "And tried to make her go back when I was four. She scared me so badly about earth, filled my head with horrors. My dad never quite forgave me for going with her. My brother brought a girl into the danciverses a few years back. Sara."

"Sara's from here?"

"She was from the capital city, but didn't talk about it. I don't know much else about her life. Just that she told me while there was still bad stuff..there was good, too." He chuckled. "If it helps she didn't like me at first either."

"Kinda" Ollie went to wipe his face, the cuts stinging from the tears."what else?"

"My friends are under the same spell as that um. The pink ranger."

"Ranger Slayer." Ollie paused. "She's under a spell? How do you know?"

Jack led Ollie to the bathroom and pulled salve out of the mirror cupboard. "The god king of the danciverses never forgave me for choosing my mom. He says he looked for me and I believe him, but he found Si'ha before he found me…and he got a new son out of it. No need to keep looking for the old one." He hummed as he gently pulled Ollie's face into different angles for lighting.

Regarding your statement on shipping/simping for your characters: How do you feel about other fan content besides fan-art? Ex. fanfiction, cosplay, edits, creating headcanons, kinning, and other fan labour such as that?

generally I think as long as people stay Normal about it then I'm fine with most of that stuff! and by normal I mean "they aren't making stuff with my ocs thats overly suggestive/straight up NSFW" like I mentioned with the simping thing, I've seen how some of yall talk about wanting the madness boys and I do NOT wanna hear that about my ocs lol. and also like, yanno, I've seen people get weirdly possessive over the ocs of artists they like and get mad if the artist does something with them that they personally dont like or "didn't fit their headcanon about [artists oc]" and, yk, nobody do that and were good!

To be specific though:

Fanfiction: I think that would be cool! However I would like to ask that I be able to proofread it before its posted anywhere if thats possible. Not cause I'm worried about someone mischaracterizing my ocs or something about the work itself being of low quality, I dont care about that, I just wanna make sure whatever going on in the fic isn't weird. Cause there was this one time I recieved a fanart comic from someone that had a. strange premise that, now knowing what I know now about them, looking back on it im like Damn! Lol, Anons in asks 1 through 4, why are you letting your minds torment you over things that should be obvious? Anon in ask 5, you sent me that ask last week, but it feels apt to post it now given the sort of asks I've gotten in the last few hours.

How many times can we go over the sort of conspiratorial thinking that plagues people who eventually become akgaes, thought patterns that have been shown several times this year to be completely misguided? If the only conclusion you can reach after everything we've seen in the last 10 months, after seeing Jikook, Taekook, Yoonmin, Vmin, and Yoonkook's conversations recently, is that 'someone' must be trying to pull a fast one on you, then maybe you should take a step back.

Honestly, in my opinion, you all fit the profile of people who should engage with k-pop very sparingly. Most times, I've observed these sort of views (also in the case of flat-earthers) are caused by gaps in foundational knowledge about the subject coupled with personal implicit biases. I see this happen all the time, and it's unfortunately the sorts of people who think like this who only get further sucked in, to the point they lose any semblance of a reference point. If you're still at the point you're asking these questions, especially Anon in ask 1, 2 and 3, there's still a chance. I'd suggest a clean break, a detox period, and very limited exposure going forward but starting from scratch and actually watching official content from the early years. A lot of people who joined the fandom post-2020 have only seen compilations and selected clips of BTS's formative years, and so they lack the background to better interpret everything that's happening in Chapter 2 - from why HYBE wouldn't respond to akgaes whining about cakes by posting it right away, to how vminkook have behaved throughout Chapter 2.

Listen to how you feel and please step back.

The conclusion of the video is that no flat-earther, not one, changed their minds after debating with the scientists. I had a theory that the people who end up as akgaes were always going to be that regardless of any arguments that run contrary to their beliefs, because at the heart of it, it's not about the arguments but about them. I have only asked for one matchup in the past like 8 years of imagine blog requesting but I figured hey, why not? I've been reading your blog nonstop for like 2 weeks, lol! Lets see, I'm about 5ft 4 with a bob of ringlets and a round, even, bespectacled face. I'm pretty curvy and perhaps on the heavier side but I've got a lot more strength to my frame than most give me credit for! In the day to day folks look at me and think I'm a 100% cerebral kind of person and for the most part they'd be right, at least when I was younger. These days I'm much more outgoing; I play DnD in 2 groups, have tons of online friends I talk to regularly, I've got a routine of 'sister night's where me and my sister paint together, I sing in a chorus, and I've got study sessions with my mentor going too- so I'm kinda a former-antisocial-dork-turned-deliberate-part-of-their-communities kinda chick. Dear Ori!

Ori finds out someone is causing quite a stir with a new invention, so of course he has to see what all the fuss is about! Something about a revolution amongst his world of scribes happening right at the foot of his home down in Dale. Making his way down to the study named, he musters up the courage to knock on the door. Coming to call unannounced isn't exactly the most polite behavior, he knows, but then again this inventor must be having a lot of that these days. He isn't expecting to see a cute young woman open the door, though, and his first thought is one hoping you aren't just the inventor's wife opening the door for them.

You are not. The moment Ori shyly greets you, asking if it's true what the scribes are saying about an exciting new device, your eyes light up and you usher him in. Inside your home is a bit messy, but the comforting sort of messy where charming china sits out atop tables, game boards at their sides, papers are strewn about with notes and diagrams and drawings Ori wishes he could see better. A potted plant sits in one corner with an unfinished sketch of its likeness on the adjacent shelf. A fire is fighting its best to stay lit behind an elaborately styled metal gate, no doubt to keep it that much further from all the paper. All in all, Ori thinks to himself that this is somewhere he could live. As you begin taking him across the room to a door, you animatedly discuss your many trials and errors before you reveal your masterpiece. A great structure with some sort of metal rod and a bunch of blocks? Printing press, you call it. You had blocks for each letter, the rod pulled down to press the ink down... "Now we can save some time if we need a lot of copies! What do you think?" You stood there with your head expectantly tilted, hands clasped in front of you. "They say Thorin or Bard might like something like this for decrees, but as a fellow scribe do you see a future with this?"

Gaping at your smarts and flushing at the faint flutter of your eyelashes, Ori nods. "This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, and I fought a dragon." "You...fought a dragon?" It is your turn to gape as you peer at the dwarf with new interest. "Threatened to show him dwarvish iron where the sun don't shine," he replied with a proud smile, arms crossed, "but you know, in the end Mr. Bard got 'im. We all showed him what for, though! This tops that by a long shot, though- how'd you think of this?" Kettle on first, hours of discussion later. Soon it was near nightfall and Ori was apologizing profusely and you were waving it off, asking him for promise of a return with the sketches he mentioned.

A whole new page of sketches gets dedicated to figures with bobs of lovely curls, gorgeous curves that have Ori blushing, smiles upon a round, cheery face and spectacles never fully betraying the eyes' secrets. Whole hours of Ori’s day get dedicated to carving blocks for your press and trying them out with you and feeling his heart flip at the way you take his hands and leap in celebration. He can listen to you talk, whether it’s explaining your invention process or the instructions of the game you’re teaching him or even simply sharing some random animal facts from the latest book you picked up, all day, he thinks. And then one day as he’s leaving you press a kiss to his cheek and that’s it.

Flowers and a new book are thrust into your hand the moment you open the door, Ori standing before you telling you how much he likes you and can’t stop thinking about you and you positively must interrupt him to tell him he’s been like home to you or else he’ll keep going, the poor dear. He wants to take you out that day, walk you around proudly and savor the feeling of your hand in his as he shows you off.

I love him? He's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'd die for him. I wanna be him. I'd date him. But on a more serious note I think he was a better character than many haters give him credit for. And his importance to Cahir’s character arc cannot be understated, even tho some people couldn't seem to figure out why he existed lol. Thankfully I'm the smartest person alive and was able to enlighten everyone.

That he was actually important to the plot? That Robbie Amell did a great job acting him out. The accent WAS NOT THAT BAD and I think what really made the character is Robbie Amell's talent for subtle facial expressions. A lot of his story had to be told quickly and subtly because of the time constraint and I just think his and Cahir’s interactions were a master class in show don't tell.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

SURVIVED??? I WISH HE WAS ALIVE. But I'd settle for I wish I hadn't just delusioned Gallahir but had actually seen them smooch on screen lol. But one thing I wish would happen too is that he'll be mentioned in season 4 so we can see the lasting impression his murder has on Cahir.

One of the reasons I love your stories so much is because you write relationships, romantic or otherwise, so beautifully. I loved your depiction of Aoba and Anko’s friendship in On a Distant Star - their bond transcends the usual human connection. That’s very rare to find, especially in a male-female friendship in writing.

It’s glorious to read about the messiness and complexity of interpersonal relationships in all their twisty beauty - especially when done by an author who knows the ins and outs of humanity. You can make a reader love even the most random background character who’s appeared for, what, a page? Their idiosyncrasies, their flaws, and their passions all shine through in your writing.

Not to mention that I LOVE your rarepairs. As for Raidō and Kurenai??? Hoooo boi I never thought I’d ship it more than her and Asuma 😂 (seeing the three of them and how they interacted in Storms, being so beautifully in character, was a treat. Ah, it's not spam! I have Tumblr because I know readers sometimes feel more comfortable connecting here rather than leaving a kudos or comment.

I think I'm kind of a boring writer. My best stories don't have a lot in terms of plot, and mostly I just write what I want to read because I like so many rare pairs. I think we all want to feel a deep connection, platonic or romantic, and for some characters, like Aoba and Anko, I think them being very close friends makes more sense than a traditional romantic entanglement.

I think you're giving me too much credit lol I have just read a lot of books and seen messy people in action. I feel like I abuse the man versus self trope all the time, but that's what I'm really interested in, is how we lie to ourselves and betray ourselves to our own detriment. And the background characters are easier because there's more room to play around with them, and potential readers aren't invested in them the same was as they are with popular characters. Writing Kakashi puts my stomach in knots, but characters like Asuma and Raidou are easy peasy, because I know enough to make guesses and can be creative.

LOL Raidou and Kurenai only started because I thought it was lame for Kakashi and Asuma to be her two options. Raidou was just cute enough and you could see the leap between him to Asuma. LOL I'm never getting away from Storms. It's a mess in a lot of ways and there are things I would change, but from some of the comments I also feel like the people who needed to read it found it, so it stays. I just think that Lovesickness will be better, and a fuller picture of what could've happened.

I will maintain, until my dying day, that Sai and Tenten aren't a huge leap at all lol.

Have you ever had vauge ideas for aus/fics that you just haven't had enough motivation/care to write? If so, what threw you off, and what if someone wrote something with that idea? (With credit ofc)

oh literally all the time. like that's most of what makes up my google drive tbh is au ideas I either know I'm not going to write but I just wanted to put into some words for fun, or that i tried to write and just couldn't vibe with for some reason or another. sometimes it's that even if I like the setting of the au, I can't think of a plot that grabs my interest enough to write it. other times I like the plot but the atmosphere/world doesn't feel solid enough in my head and I can't grasp the specific vibes. and sometimes even if I have both those things when I sit down to actually write the fic... nothing happens. my brain just won't work. or I start on it and then I lose motivation for some reason or another. there's a variety of reasons I abandon aus so just know anything I actually post has survived a lot of rigorous mental vetting lol

if you didn't know I actually have a scrap bin on my ao3 page! I post abandoned wips there and I have a blanket statement that anything I throw in there people can use for their own ideas as long as they give me credit and aren't blatantly plagiarizing what I already wrote.

gonna be honest the stuff that goes in the scrap bin is still only a fraction of what lives in my drive, bc I'm always like "ohhh don't know if I wanna make this idea public in case I change my mind and wanna write it-" even if it's a wip I haven't touched in, like, a year lmao

I definitely think they have gl series planned for the near future but idk if they would announce them now given 23.5 hasn't even aired yet. The whole split announcement thing seems to be to gauge audience reception, so possibly gl in part 2 to ride off of 23.5? its in my bingo anyway

Winnysatang series is essentially confirmed and i don't think it's a high school series purely based on how much satang's been going to the gym lately lmao i mean it might just be his choice, but i choose to take anything and everything as hints 😌

I think most of us have seen the fk + p'new rumours which.. yeah 😬 (still not over what they did to between us <//3)

i really wanna see neomark again as leads, but i don't actually think we're gonna get mark in a bl (or at least as a cp) in part 1. Markford was obviously very successful because of msp, but i think neomark has more longevity (although idk if mark would be put in a set cp like that). Definitely think gmm wants to gauge the response to neomark more as only friends finishes up.

loved joong in the warp effect and i think he should just kiss everyone (hence joong harem) (joong dating show perhaps) i never rlly got into any of joongdunk's shows although i do love them as a pair outside of the series, so i kinda wanna see both of them act with different people (gmm give me ponddunk pls)

Yep I am late and this time I don't have any excuses. I didn't get sick like last time. I think I am just burnt out but I don't wanna fully admit it bec I don't have the right to be burnt out lmao. Anyways, I am here to talk about Jimin and not me.

Where do I even start?

I previously said that I'll start typing my thoughts again so I could get back to them in the future. But honestly, I don't know if I actually want to remember everything that happened during Jimin's FACE era. It actually gave me more heartbreak than happiness. As much as I wanted to focus on the success of the album and how the songs were carefully written by Jimin, I think there are more serious matters to talk about.

I mean yes, Jimin attained all these record breaking achievements however at the same time, he experienced a lot of injustices mostly bec he's an asian making honest music in a white dominated industry.

After hitting no.1 on HOT100, Billboard suddenly deleted 90% of his sales in the 2nd week which made him fall 40 spots down. If the sales were not deleted, he could've stayed no.1 for another week.

Spotify merged the 2 versions of Like Crazy in the first 4 days (like they usually do with other artists' songs) but when it was able to hit no.1 on Global Spotify Chart, they suddenly separated the 2 and never put them back. They even fucked up the producer credits for a time period.

Even after hitting no.1 on Global Spotify Chart and no.1 on HOT100, US radios kept ignoring Like Crazy and refused to play it. They would ask for requests and when LC acquires the most votes, they will pick another song. If the song was not paid and not from a white artist, US radios dgaf no matter how well the song is doing on the official charts.

Youtube has always been a BTS anti. Youtube does filter other artists' views too but when it comes to any BTS related videos, they filter out 1000000x harder. No matter how it is proven that BTS has one of, if not the largest fandom in the world, Youtube still considers us bots.

They usually delete a lot of views during the first few days of a BTS video then tones down after. However during Jimin's music videos (SMFPT2 and LC) they kept deleting an average of 1M views per day even 2 weeks after the release. The fact that LC was no.1 trending music video worldwide for days but it was stuck with the same views was so frustrating. Even if you compare its views to likes ratio from other Korean artists' mvs, you'll definitely see something's wrong.

When Jimin was about to hit 2M album sales in 1 day, Hanteo deleted 700k sales. They were even planning to make Jimin not hit 1M in 1 day bec they suddenly froze his sales. Luckily the fandom was able to screen record their website and posted a bunch of proofs of their anomaly. After bombarding them with emails, they gave up and brought back Jimin's 1M sales. Sadly the 700k sales were not given back.

The worst part from all this mess? BIGHIT/HYBE never said anything. Never defended their artist. Always does the bare minimum and makes the fandom do all the work, from promo, to radio spins and even in demanding for accountability from all these charts and platforms. Very disappointing knowing they are the biggest entertainment company in SK. BTS built the company from dust through their blood, sweat and tears but they can't give the same energy back? Pathetic. Tho when it comes to their rookie group they be doing the most lol.

"Bangtan are not babies, they are grown up, adult men. They are shareholders of this company. They know everything, they approved of this blah blah" 

I know BTS do have the power and voice regarding their work but at the end of the day, there are certain things that the company has the final say (Hell they can't even release certain songs sometimes if not approved by the company!). I'm so sick of people bringing up this argument just to disregard the company's blatant negligence to the Tannies. Also, me talking about this does not mean I don't acknowledge all the good they've done, there are just so many questionable decisions made by the company that needed to be addressed but the space is not enough to list them all.

Tbh if I can make all of these not true I would. I would save Jimin from all these unfair treatment specially he is just facing all of these alone since this is not a group comeback. But this is the reality. All these sabotages were not conspiracy theories, they were real. Even all of us were shocked that these charts and platforms did these things in broad daylight. This is how dirty the music industry is against people of color. This is the truth.

Other fandoms usually just focus on the visual aspect and rarely their faves' music (numbers don't lie bruh). They would be making fun of our fandom bec we take streaming, voting and charting seriously. And when BTS keeps on winning and their faves don't, they'd protest lmao. Why am I mentioning this?

Sometimes after fighting all these music charts and platforms I would think, what if I didn't dive deep? What if I'm just a casual music listener and a visual stan? What if I didn't know how corrupt the system is? Things wouldn't be so stressful right?

But then again, I fell in love with BTS bec of their music. And they have proven how much they love making music. Of course as a fan, I only want the best for them. I want them to achieve everything they deserve as artists and musicians. Fighting the impossible like the music industry is indeed exhausting however if it's for an artist like BTS then it's all worth it.

I want to end this long ass rant by congratulating Jimin on his historical solo album debut. I am sorry if I didn't focus on typing about FACE. I wanted to emphasize that despite all these sabotages, no payola, no playlisting, no radio and no western collab, Jimin made it to the top. 

There might be people (mostly the ones who don't know how the charts and system work) thinking it was easy. It was never easy, always never easy when it comes to BTS.

Nevertheless thank you Jimin for making this masterpiece. I am proud of having you as a bias. You deserve all the success and praise. We will always have your back no matter what. I love you.

I am a big fan of 80s music and Like Crazy has 80s music vibe so I love it so much.

I wanted to include every achievement of FACE and LC on every chart in different countries but there's not enough space.

There might be another Korean soloist in the future who will achieve no.1 on HOT100 like Jimin but that will never change the fact that he will always be the first (also 2nd asian soloist overall after 60 years) and I can't flex this enough.

Turns out it’s the second op that I love and remember well. But like…! Look how different in tone and genre it looks compared to the first one! Admittedly the anime had filler and dragged out the beginning? I actually liked reading Bleach. And ngl I probably rewatch this arc more than the actual beginning because it is more put together but… I also love the IchiRuki lol

Unfortunately I don’t get invested in the Orihime rescue mission the same way as this Rukia rescue mission. And I can see how ppl don’t like the repetitive nature of the plots. But I do feel like there are at least some differences. Like the emotional weight is different. Both of them “chose” to leave with the antagonists. But I feel like it was very different circumstances. It’s established Orihime has feelings for Ichigo. But I don’t feel it’s reciprocated. Ichigo wants to get her because she is a friend. For Rukia he feels like he owes her. And I feel like their bond it’s different from Orihime. He feels so strongly for her despite not knowing her for as long? But Rukia is also credited as being the one who “stopped the rain in his soul”. So like…!

But also Rukia was on a clock ro execution, Orihime was just a pawn and not in danger of being killed. They both left to protect Ichigo, and his friends. But Rukia left in front of his eyes and Orihime left secretly. I can understand Ichigo’s trauma and having lost ppl would make him sensitive to Orihime just leaving and not seeing it. But it was also way more clear for Rukia it was a lot more targeted to Icjigo. The others weren’t close to her like he was. They were helping for Ichigo. For Orihime they all had a vested interest in getting her back.

I’m already rambling but as I said I have a lot of feels for Bleach but especially IchiRuki.

Sugirandom: Yes, so the second opening does look more in-line with the genre of the show even though if I recall correctly Season 2 also had a ton of filler. It's interesting to read your explanation of the differences between Orihime's rescue mission and Rukia's. I don't remember if I ever saw both of them but I think if I did I also would be a lot more invested in Rukia's rescue. Even though Orihime does eventually get some kind of powers I think? I feel like she's more of a damsal in distress type of character and therefore didn't feel that invested. I do feel like Ichigo only views Orihime as a friend and that Rukia had a substantial impact on his life in many ways.

Skipping the second op for the rescuing Rukia part of the arc, and the two filler op’s? (You can get whiplash from op’s being high action and fast passed and dramatic/angsty, or more happy and slice of life feeling. I think this following one was for when they went to rescue Orihime (I’m not a big fan of the visuals or music)

I wasn’t a big fan of the above opening 6. But opening 7 is also one of my faves (I also just love Asian Kung-Fu Generation) Still rescuing her. But I also wanna admit I couldn’t finish watching or reading all of this arc despite it’s importance to the lore. It felt too dragged out and it only made me dislike Orihime more rhan before. Whereas for the Rukia mission I grew to like her more. I mostly waited until this arc was over and watched the final battle because I heard what happened. I didn’t come back to Bleach until the Fullbringer Arc which I don’t recall when that happened in the timelime

Sugirandom: Ahh, Opening 6 definitely gives off more IchigoXOrihime vibes and I'm not really a huge fan of the animal companions lip-syncing lol. Opening 7 is much better but I'm also bias in liking Asian Kung-fu Generation. Thanks for sharing these and sorry it too so long to post my responses.

It would honestly offend me to hear that such nice and good voice acting was replaced with something that sounds like it was put little to no effort

I'm really wanna watch it, and it's been hard trying to ignore all the spoilers, even the little ones that make me wonder wtf happens in the movie

Anyways, I tried seeing some sites where I can watch mutant mayham but all I saw was Paramount+ and I don't have that, and I don't really want my dad to make a whole ass account and pay for it just for one movie(I don't have my own credit card lol)

I tried seeing does a more popular town near mine has a sub ver and it does! But-

I can't really go on that date and I'm pretty sure it's only that one time (but who knows, I might be wrong)

Anyway, idk what to do; do I just give up and don't whatch the movie but instead see spoilers and fanart until I realize the while plot and movie?
