do the people who cheer on/repudiate the healthcare ceo shooter only to turn around and repudiate/cheer daniel penny know that they're all massive fucking hypocrites. like, definitionally hypocrites.
#personal#like sorry but both of these being in the news simultaneously is hysterical#pick a side here#either murder is bad no matter who does it and for what reason#and random people are not allowed under any circumstances to kill other humans regardless of their reasoning#OR murder is justifiable so long as you feel you have a legitimate reason to commit extrajudicial violence#be it anger at the system or what you've decided is reasonable fear for your safety#you cannot be for the ceo shooter and against what daniel penny did#nor can you call out the ceo shooter and support daniel penny#in both instances someone decided to straight up kill another living breathing human being to satisfy their own reasoning#and like yeah shockingly both leftists and rightwingers have very inconsistent morals#and change what they believe on a whim and whether it's convenient for them that's obvious#it's been obvious for years now#but the turnaround usually doesn't happen simultaneously#so either be pro ceo shooter - in which case you should consider yourself honor bound to be pro daniel penny and what he did to jordan neel#or you are against the both of them#as someone who is morally consistent both in this and my staunch opposition to the death penalty i'm against them both#(literally i can only think of one instance where i was in favor of the death penalty and that was the trials of the nazis after ww2)
