I admittedly do love watching creators be sheepish about and ultimately embrace tropes because tropes are how I and mine make our living, and they are my favorite.
#you cannot be a successful romance author without smartly employing and embracing tropes#tropes exist because they are things we all love and seek out and melt for#for as many readers curl their upper lip when they see an author promoting their romances with a trope map#there are just as many who see 'only one bed' 'sunshine x grumpy' 'age gap' 'friends to enemies to lovers' and one-click instantly#if you ever feel embarrassed that you're using tropes please know a multibillion dollar industry thrives on them#you are in good company and you are not uncreative for finding a trope and leaning hard into it#the fun part is taking the trope and making your work something your readers think of First when they remember that trope forever#my ramblings
