I definitely think she chose right with what she released in the official album cuz there were so many good songs based purely off first impressions that it was hard to choose my favorites and the second half was good but not particularly memorable as a whole (love The Prophecy and thanK you aIMee but other than that they weren’t as dazzling). Might just be cuz I’m new music tired and I’ve been focusing too hard on lyrics so hopefully it gets better on the second listen (gonna need a break tho)

#not saying I don’t like them just I don’t like them AS MUCH #taylor swift #the tortured poets department #ttpd #you can’t give me a whole new album with no notice Taylor😭😭😭#like I saw people pointing out that lyrics from the promo weren’t in the first half #but I was too busy hyping over new songs to pay attention #and also just assumed they were in the three songs I didn’t have yet #I definitely like more of the songs but my brain is too tired from the first half to properly enjoy them #gonna give it a couple days to finalize a ranking #but idek when I can do the all time rankings cuz that’s a whole ass 31 songs😭😭😭#16 already felt like too much😭#and I can’t imagine the people who didn’t stay up for the release (like my brother) having to go through the 31 songs all at once #we’re gonna have to split it up cuz my brother can’t sit through new music for that long #this is his first new album as a Swiftie and he STILL has to go through so much music to get caught up #poor guy
