{Max's POV}

I'm not someone who engages in arguments on twitter but when people kept shipping Y/N with that guy, I don't know why but it was pissing me off!!

So, I might've done something a few months ago in the heat of the moment which was embarrassing when I thought about it too much but now I feel like not so much. I mean, I'm kind of famous, maybe I can use that to my advantage. So, I did something. I asked RedBull to invite her to the Japanese Grand Prix. It's close enough and honestly, I wasn't sure she would agree but she did, so I guess a win is a win.

{Max's POV}

I've met so many celebrities before but non of them have left me feeling this giddy and excited but I've never been a fan of half the celebrities that would come to the races.

Y/N was different, she was so sweet and asked questions which made it seem like she was interested in the sport so I couldn't help but answer those. I mean, we were the hosts.

"Hi, I'm Y/N" she introduced herself. I know I thought. "I'm Max" I replied. "I hear that you're the best right now" she smiled. I felt a blush creep in. "Ah...It's nothing. I just do my best" I mumbled. "No need to be humble if you're talented" she said smiling. I felt my heart race.

She was here for the weekend which meant I got to spend a lot of time with her. She was so much more fun and exciting to be around compared to what I saw on the internet. She was funny and had the cutest little laugh.

As I spent more time with her, I fell in love as if I wasn't already. I mean, I did orchestrate our meeting. "Dude, you have to ask her out" Lando whispered. "What?" I said looking at him. "You've had a crush on her for years now. I remember you rapping her songs even though they aren't in a language you speak since I joined" Lando pointed out. "But wouldn't it be weird" I asked. "What is weird is you inviting her and then staring at her from a far with heart eyes" Lando laughed. "Hey" I grimaced. "Sorry Max, but we all think it's cute. This little crush of yours" Charles interrupted. "Not you too" I whined. "Actually, all of us have a betting pool going" Pierre said. "He wasn't supposed to know" Daniel laughed, shaking his head. "You guys bet on me" I almost screamed. "In our defence, we've never seen you like a love sick puppy. Let us have this" Daniel defended. I shook my head and walked away.

"You look annoyed, everything okay?" Y/N asked. "Yeah" I smiled. "Must be fun, travelling with all these people and getting to do what you love" she asked. "It is. I even get to meet celebrities like this" I said. "I feel like you're more famous than I am. Maybe I should be the one star struck" she laughed. "You know, if you're free" I said twiddling my thumbs. It was now or never, what's the worst that could happen, she would say no and then I would spend the rest of eternity pining for her. "maybe we could go on a date?" I said scratching the back of my head. "I am" she replied. "After I win the race, maybe we could go celebrate?" I suggested. "I would love to celebrate with you" she smiled. Maybe if I died now, I would die happy.

Max and Y/N started dating a few weeks after that meeting at the grand prix. Due to their hectic schedules, they weren't able to spend as much time together. Hence, during the summer break, Max was in South Korea, trying to make the most of their time together.

Max was lounging in Y/N's room, when she plopped down next to him. "You know my friend" she began. "Yoongi, the one you're close to" Max finished. "Yeah, he'll be off tomorrow from his duty and he wanted to meet you" she muttered. "Oh" was all that left Max's lips. "I haven't dated anyone in a while because of many reasons" she said looking down, "and oppa, just wants to make sure....you know how older brothers are" she said. "I get it." Max nodded along. "Where are we meeting?" Max asked. "At home, he can't really be out in public without being swarmed" Y/N laughed. "I saw with how many of his pictures are plastered all over the place" Max laughed.

The next day, the table was set. The two of them waited for Yoongi to show up while cuddling on the couch. "Do you think he'll like me?" Max asked, breaking the silence. "He'll love you" Y/N replied while kissing Max's lips. Then the door bell rang, "Must be him" Y/N announced and went to see. She came back with Yoongi in tow. "Hello" Yoongi greeted with his hand out. "Hi" Max replied, shaking his hand. He towered over Yoongi a bit. "How old is he again?" Yoongi asked Y/N in Korean. "The same age as Jungkook, the same month too. Jungkook's in the beginning of the month and he's in the end" she replied. Max was confused as to what they were talking about. "Korea is big on age hierarchy, so I was telling him when you're birthday is" Y/N explained looking at Max's confused face which morphed into one of understanding soon.

They proceeded to dinner, while making small talk. Y/N was happy watching Yoongi getting along with Max, a dream for her honestly. After dinner, while Y/N cleaned up; the two men sat together watching her move fluidly. "I said I could help" Yoongi called out who was now watching her. "You know I'm a control freak. You two should get to know each other" she called out. Yoongi slowly sat down, Max joining soon after.

"You both have busy schedules" Yoongi began, "That's why I try to make as much time as I can. We have a schedule in place, since I'm travelling so much. It's working out" Max quickly replied. "Even then, can you keep her happy?" Yoongi asked. "I'll try my best. I can't imagine her sad or crying and worst because of me" Max shuddered. "Good" Yoongi nodded. "Listen Max, nothing against you but she's like a sister and I don't want anyone to hurt her" Yoongi reiterated. "I promise I won't ever hurt her and if I ever do, which I won't, you know where to find me. Finish me" Max stated. Yoongi smiled patting his back. "I like this one" Yoongi called out to Y/N. Y/N popped her head up, "He said he approves" she called out to Max. "I never said that" Yoongi chided. "Same same" she laughed.

Yoongi soon got ready to leave, "I had a good time. Thank you for the food" he said hugging her. "Thank you for coming. Drive safe" Y/N called out as he was leaving. "Take care of her" Yoongi told Max as he closed the door. Max looked at Y/N; "Great first impression" Y/N stated with her hands around his neck. "I think so too" Max replied kissing her. "I love you" Max stated looking into her eyes. Y/N's eyes widened before she smiled, "I love you too" she said kissing him

''Okay Y/N, so we have a 5 second penalty for the lap track limits. Keep it clean from now on.'' Marco's voice came through the radio, notifying the driver. 

She loudly sighed, momentarily lifting her hand from the steering wheel to show her frustration. ''What? Who snitched? Lando? Was it Lando? Oh, I bet it was Lando.'' Y/N rambled, glancing at the McLaren driver in her mirrors. 

''Just focus on driving. They're giving a lot of drivers penalties at the moment so don't worry about it too much.'' He brushed it off, not wanting her to get distracted by which driver reported on her breaking the rules. 

Y/N listened to his words and calmed down. ''Understood, Polo.'' She answered, trusting his judgement. 

''Y/N, Sainz told over the radio that you're intimidating him.'' Marco informed her as she pressured Carlos, fighting for the third spot on the podium. 

The driver frowned. ''Well… is the intimidation on the track with us right now?'' She chuckled. 

''Push harder, we have better pace than them.'' Her engineer had laughed himself when the message came in, finding humour in the Ferrari driver's comment to his own team. 

Y/N listened to Marco's instruction and intimidated the car in front of her even more, eventually passing him a few corners later. ''Marco, I passed him so he doesn't feel threatened anymore- aren't I such a good friend?'' She laughed, giving herself a pat on the wrist. 

The commentators and analysts tried hard not to cackle as her radio message was replayed on the broadcast, still wanting to remain their professional attitude. 

''Y/L overtakes Sainz from the inside with a nice message for the Spaniard attached to it- beautiful stuff we are seeing here at the Red Bull Ring.'' Crofty's voice sounded over the replay of said overtake. 

''Charlie, you're in my chair again.'' Y/N walked into the cooldown room, immediately noticing the Monégasque occupying her seat. The situation had also happened in Baku when the three of them made it onto the podium. 

The Ferrari driver glanced behind him, seeing her car number and team logo above his chair. ''Oh, sorry…'' 

He made an advance to switch seats, but she stopped him. ''It's okay- I'm P2 now.'' She teased, sitting down on his original chair. 

''It's been a while since we were on the podium together.'' Max stated, standing up from his seat and grabbing one of the towels that were laid there for them. 

Both Charles and Y/N nodded at him. ''Well, it's been a while since Charles was on the podium with us.'' The youngest corrected the Dutchman, chuckling at the Monégasque's unimpressed face. 

''I'm back.'' He simply smiled. 

While the second and third place drivers were joking around with each other, the RBR driver watched the replay of the race. ''A lot of penalties.'' He noted. 

''I got one.'' Y/N admitted, raising her eyebrow in light annoyance. 

The two men's heads shot up at that. ''Really? Track limits or what?'' Charles asked. 

The young woman nodded. ''Yeah, Mr. Norris ratted me out.'' There was a sarcastic tone to her voice, indicating she was joking and wasn't actually upset with her British friend. 

''Lando? That's funny.'' Charles had always been a fan of Y/N and Lando's friendship, their banter having made many great moments on the paddock and online. 

Max pointed at her. ''You should get revenge.'' He grinned, knowing she most likely already had something in mind. 

He realised he was right once he saw the mischievous smirk on her face. ''You know I will.'' She folded her hands together as if she was a villain in a superhero movie planning a grand scheme. 

''I'm scared for him.'' Charles said, relieved he wasn't a victim of her humorous retaliation. 

''You should be, Charlie.'' 

''YOU TOLD EVERYONE I PEED MYSELF SO HARD DURING THE RACE THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN MY SUIT?!'' Lando stormed into her motorhome, his eyes widened in disbelief. 

Y/N had a devilish smirk on her face as the McLaren driver walked in, having expected him to waltz in. ''Snitches get stitches.'' 

''Oh, come on! You would have done the same thing!'' He defended his actions. 

''You,'' she pointed at him, ''think I,'' she pointed at herself, ''would have reported on you every time you went over the track limits? I would never, Lando.'' The way in which she was speaking sounded like that is exactly what she would do. 

''And by the way, no one would believe a thing like peeing so hard that there are holes in your clothes- people aren't that gullible.'' She said, brushing the entire thing off. 

Lando rolled his eyes. ''People are believing it! 'Lando peeing' is trending on Twitter already.'' 

Y/N snorted at his words, immediately covering her face as she loudly laughed in his face. ''L-Lan… pee- peeing…'' She couldn't get any words out, finding the situation too funny. 

''Stop laughing, it's not funny!'' Despite his words, Lando had started grinning himself- the sight of his best friend completely losing it being too much for her 'I have to remain serious'-facade. 

''I'm sorry, okay? I didn't think people would take it seriously.'' Y/N was still cackling while delivering her ''apology''. 

The Brit sighed. ''This is gonna haunt me for a while, isn't it?'' 

''I'm afraid so, Rumple.''

Originally was going to be smut but the more I wrote the more fitting it became as a fluff. Wanna get back to writing smut tho. Kinda enjoyed it.

Wanted to give it a sad ending with the reader being a figment of his imagination that he can't let go of ever since the reader died like 3 years ago. But eh

I was in the garage at the moment, the race ended around 5 minutes ago. I am sat in one corner drinking my water considering I couldn't drink during the race in the scorching heat of the sun, combined with the heat produced in the car. As I sat in the corner I see someone make their way to me in my peripheral, looking up I see my boyfriend, y/n.

"Hey bubs, you okay?" He says with a sympathetic smile as he sat down next to me our shoulders touching.

"No." I say with a sigh as I place my head on his shoulder, feeling his arm wrap around my waist.

"Why?" He asks holding me tighter.

"I was dehydrated during the race, couldn't drink, straw too short, sun was hot, inside the car was hot. Thought I was gonna have a heat stroke or something." I say staring blankly ahead the straw to my water bottle still in my mouth taking small sips from time to time.

"Awww, are okay now? You should rest, maybe lay down in your room? We could cuddle?" He says his arm moving from my waist to my shoulder, his hand running up and down my arm.

"Still have interviews in a bit, they're just letting me catch my breathe and drink." I say still with the blank stare on my face.

"Maybe later then?" He says kissing my hair.

"Later." I standing up as I hear my name being called. "I guess I have to do media now, ciao." I say now fully standing up with y/n beside me, I lean down a bit giving him a kiss.

"Ciao, take care." I hear him say as I make my way outside the garage.

Being done with the media stuff now, I was beyond exhausted, I just wanted to get to the hotel and cuddle with y/n. As I make my way to my car I notice a figure leaning against the side of it. Walking closer with caution I was about to shout at the person when he looked up and I saw that it's just y/n.

"You stayed the whole time?? It's like 10pm already, why aren't you at the hotel? Where did you even stay? I didn't see you in my room earlier." I bombard him with questions now hugging him tightly and putting most of my weight on him.

"Guess you're really tired huh?" He says holding me tight and kissing my hair.

"Yes, very tired." I mumbled into his shoulder.

"Want me to drive or?" He says ruffling my hair.

"I'll drive, can't let my passenger prince do the hard work eh?" I say with a cheeky smile while getting into the driver's seat after I open the door for him for the passenger's seat.

"Want to listen to some music?" He asks as he grabs his phone from his pocket and looking at me while I back up from the parking area.

"Sure." I say not driving towards the hotel we're staying. While driving I hear him connect to the speaker.

"Is that my music? You actually listened to the ones I released on spotify?" I say glancing at him for a bit.

"Obviously, I won't record your songs for you, you're old enough for that." He says with a huff and rolling his eyes with a playful smile on his lips.

As we arrive at the hotel entrance, fans were still at the doors, although fewer than before, considering how late it was. I decided that maybe a couple of pictures and signing some stuff would be fine. Going up to our room I feel y/n grab my arm in the elevator and feel him lean onto me.

"You okay, babe?"

"Yea, just sleepy."

After hearing the elevator ding we walked out and onto our room, I unlocked the door and we walked in. As y/n was preparing for bed I decided to take a quick shower.

"Charles, have you eaten yet?" I hear him say as I walk out of the bathroom towel hanging low on my hips.

"Have you?"

"Stop answering my question with another question." He says while laying on the bed, phone in hand.

"No not really, what did you have in mind?"

"Take out?"

"Sure."

He calls the take out place as I get dressed, not really. I just wore boxers and sweatpants.

"Did you order yet?" I ask as I lay down on the bed next to him, spooning him and holding him tight against my bare chest.

"Yea, they said it'll be 20 minutes." He says burrying his face into the crook of my neck and yawning.

We lay there comfortably, for about 15 mind until I heard the phone ring, I answered it, it was the hotel clerk informing me of the delivery. I carefully get out of bed so as to not wake up y/n who is peacefully sleeping by now. I put on a jumper, grab the money and head down to the lobby.

Returning to the room with the food, I noticed y/n was not in bed. Then I hear the toilet flush then out came y/n from the bathroom. After eating the food we threw away the trash and brushed our teeth, I lay in bed again, opening my arms waiting for him to lay down as well.

"Goodnight." He says now in my arms and head on my chest.

"Goodnight, amour" I say, hearing little snores coming from him. I soon follow him to sleep, with my mind plagued with thoughts of him, and our future, just y/n and charles. Together forever.

are this-reality vocalops real for project sekai characters? like, could rui be canonically a hitoyama/mothy fan? and most importantly - are the commissions we get actually the same as the ones written during the stories? because it's often implied that they are, especially with leo/need (and made-to-order specifically i guess??) but then what.

Yes, Vocaloid-Ps exist in-universe! Ichika is sorta one since she owns a Miku voicebank and is learning how to use it. Also I shit you not, it's heavily implied that Rui is a fan of those guys. He mentions liking how Vocaloid can be used to tell stories in KAITO's 1* story.

Any song that the characters write in a story is not the same as the commission for the event. If you play the story with music the songs written are always played at some point and they're just OST. Although it may at first seem like Order Made and Utsuro wo Aogu are the songs written by Ichika and Toya within their respective events, when their songs are played in the story, they're actually Count Your Blessings and Step by Step. Order Made is canon though, since it's performed in virtual lives. As I said, commissioned songs that are performed in virtual lives are canon but were likely created by the SEKAI (since they aren't treated as covers, and it's not like vocaloPs are producing songs for teenagers in a pocket dimension).

Jackpot Sad Girl doesn't exist in-universe (possibly, not sure how canon the connect lives are). The song Kanade wrote in Captive Marionette is actually called Marionette, and is never played during the story.

Remember I wrote that really long post about SEKAI lore and then just slapped on the end that they're a metaphor for worldbuilding in music? That's how I'm explaning the Evillious SEKAI. Hey, if the vocaloid characters can manifest into existence then characters based on those characters can also manifest into existence too I guess.

PART 2: NOLPATS BURNER ACCOUNT

So obviously it’s been quite an event for nolpat nation these past couple days… and it’s very evident people are aware of the burners and have been following or interacting with it.

If you aren’t aware @ gollpatter is the first acocunt that was inactive for a bit before it was suspended/locked, and then @ shottergallas was the secondary account…

So after I guess by the saving grace of god??? He ended up regaining access back to his first account that had more of the the problematic tweets, likes and questionable followings.

This was his first tweet he posted after being back on the account… which also is now deleted. #lolz

WHAT DOES PAT OLIVERIA MEAN?

Okay so obviously his name is Pat Oliveria on his main and some are probably confused or thrown off by it. My assumption to the name is... obviously ''Pat'' is part of his last name and well-known nickname and ''Oliveria'' was most likely taken from the Brazalian MMA fighter Charles Oliveria... and we all know how much he loves MMA.

ACCOUNT PRIVATING

The account actually went private for a moment and then went public again… then also decided to unfollow a specific group of people *cough* all the obvious friends and some influencers.

Pretty much any tweet that people would interact with the account would get deleted. Which I think most of us have already witnessed.

MUTUAL BURNER ACCOUNTS

After this all went down some of his mutuals went private (some have unprivated now) and even one deleted.

A notable mutual user that deleted is (@ basket_458462). I think not many people saw what went on, on that account… since It deleted pretty much after 1-2 days after the burners were under fire… you thought anything was bad on the NP burners, this one was 10x worst lol. NP off (@ gollpatter) liked a good amount of tweets off there page, pre much all pertaining to WJC 2018, and weren’t the greatest takes either. The Basket 4 page was pretty active interacting with stan twitter.

Though literally all those mutual burners hold very debatable content and most of it? Well you guessed it! It’s all pretty much red pill, zyn bro misogyny.

The Basket 4 account was just a different breed and every tweet or like was constantly victim shaming and blaming the girl involved in the WJC 2018 incident. Probably explains the profile picture too… yikes.

Just thought it was funny how some decided to go private or delete, which shows to me they’re aware of what’s going on.

NOW ONTO THE SUSPICIOUS? OR JUST COINCEDENTAL INSTAGRAM ACTIVITY?

Maybe a big coincidence but NP started unfollowing people off his main ig account just about a day after shit hit the fan, though this is pretty common for him to randomly do mass unfollowings just found the timing to be ironic.

If some of you were aware he has a private finsta account. He had the username that went by @ gollasperoutdoors and then changed it to @ youngglasp. You're able to see how many times the user changed their user and how long they had the account for, the username was changed 5 times throughout the past 4 years. He changed the username to the account about 2 days ago... he's most likely had the user (@ gollasperoutdoors) for a hot minute as well… don't know why he decided to change it now... also changing the clearly evident nickname of his to just “glasp”.

I also kind of have a theory that one of his finsta account usernames at a point in time was probably @ gollpatter (the same as his twitter)… You aren't able to view their old users, but I just thought about it since it's been changed multiple times... though impossible to prove because most of us probably don't remember his older finsta users or even knew he had one to begin with.

NOW WHY HASN'T THE ACCOUNT DELETED? WHY HASN'T IT BLOCKED ANYONE? WHY HASN'T IT TWEETED IN DAYS?

It’s pretty obvious and simple to why the account has done none of those things and is limiting/stopping activity.

If the accounts started blocking evident hockey stan twitter accounts or accounts that interacted with them, deleted high volume of tweets especially the problematic ones, went private or deactivated. It would fully be more evident that we are most likely right on our assumption on who’s running it and that they’re fully aware on what’s happening LOL.

Also probably another reason why the account unprivated so quickly + tweeted a bit even after getting called out is because whoever is running it most likely wanted to play it off… Even tho the deleting of directed tweets + unfollowing specific known friends and influencers and other activity was already enough for most to throw the guilty charge.

To tie things up I don't think the accounts will delete anytime soon or even at all and will just slowly be abandoned. I guess the one smart move on his part was that the account wasn't under his actual name and there isn't a definitive way to prove its him unless you know details about him, so it's not clockable to the general public. (Shout out to the anons for this part!).

Okay, another few questions:

1, how old were the original five X-Men at their introduction? 2, how old were they (OG team) when Banshee and the other "new X-Men" joined Cyclops in stopping Krakoa? And 3, how old were the original five when M-Day happened?

Sorry, these are details I just want to know for myself. Hope you don't mind the questioning, and keep up the good work!

According to [Uncanny] X-Men #1, Bobby Drake was sixteen when the team made its public debut. Furthermore he describes himself as a "couple" of years younger than his friends. We also know that Hank is somewhat older than Scott, Warren, and Jean. So, the short answer to your first question is: Bobby is 16, Warren, Scott, and Jean are 18, and Hank is probably 18 or 19.

It's not specifically clear whether Bobby is literally two years younger, or if "couple" is being used in a more figurative sense. I think it's safe to take at face value though, given that he is clearly presented as a member of their age cohort (along with Lorna and Alex); is meant to be reasonably close to the same age as Peter Parker and Johnny Storm (who should also be in the same general range as the original X-Men, as they were all teenagers at the same time); and lastly when Claremont revived the X-Men publication years later, Bobby was depicted as now comfortably a young adult, finishing up his accounting degree, at the same time that Jean was dealing with her first job drama, and Warren was off with the family business.

I also think it's safe to guess Hank is no more than a year older than the others. He's treated as a peer of his teammates rather than as a helper to the Professor, and seems comfortable as a member of the group even outside of X-Men training. Hank's more advanced academic pursuits with respect to his teammates are also shown to be a product of his intelligence and not simply him being in a more senior class, which I think furthermore point to him being loosely their age.

Later authors have occasionally given different ages to the first team, or at least to Scott. Bendis, who wrote them for the longest, identifies the younger Scott as sixteen when he first comes face to face with his modern counterpart (Uncanny X-Men volume 3 no. 12). In Matt Fraction's inexplicably titled Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus, Scott gives a televised speech in which he claims to have joined the X-Men at age 15. And in Stuart Moore's X-Men Origins Cyclops, Scott is shown to have first met Charles when he was 17 (which works), but he also dates X-Men #1 as taking place when Scott was 21 (which contradicts every other version of the story).

I think it makes the most sense to just go with the original story, and take 18 as the team's median age. I think you could also just as well argue that the 15-17 number isn't in contradiction per se, but only reflects Scott's age when Charles started training him, or even when he first became Cyclops, and not his age in X-Men #1 when Jean joined the team and they confronted Magneto for the first time.

I know some fans also feel that the Bendis' run discounts the possibility that they're in their late teens, because he writes them so young, but I think that's kind of ridiculous. Bendis writes everyone like that, and in any case people are basically the same at 14 as they are at 34, so how much more mature does anyone get from 16 to 18, really?

I think having them remain (mostly) at 18+ is the most plausible reading of the original run, and the most consistent with their general dislike of Charles recruiting actual child soldiers in later classes, and as well with Marvel's editorial policy that the X-Men have existed for ten years in-universe in perpetuity and are now just shy of 30.

Second question: Their ages later on, when the All-New, All-Different team first formed aren't given directly, but they're easy to work out.

So, at time of first death, Jean was 24ish depending on when her birthday falls in the year. Scott and Warren are the same age, Bobby is two years younger, and Hank is probably around 1 year older.

How much time passes between Jean's introduction to Storm, Thunderbird, Wolverine, Banshee, etc and her death isn't specified, and during his first run, Claremont tried to maintain a pretense of everything occurring in real time, but already it had started to become untenable and can't be trusted.

At the time of Jean's death, the core Claremont trio of Storm, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler are still very early in getting to know each other as people, despite spending a lot of time together on page. So I think it's very likely that only a few months have passed between the new recruits joining the team and when Jean died and the remaining original X-Men make their departure. So I would just treat the Dark Phoenix Saga as taking place in the same year as the first mission to Krakoa, with Jean/Scott/Warren remaining 24 throughout.

Third question: To get to their ages at M-Day, I need to do something cataclysmically stupid. Something that I always tell everyone to never do when talking about the X-Men: I have to talk about how old Kitty Pryde was. She who has had three separate, non consecutive, fifteenth birthdays; and she who, famously, began the 1990s three years older than Jubilee, but still managed to end the decade two years younger than her. But, for once, bringing her into things is going to make everything else make more sense.

In X-Treme X-Men we're told directly that Kitty joined the X-Men five years ago. This is useful to know, because she joined the team on the exact same day that Jean died, so it has also been 5 years since that happened. X-Treme X-Men takes place at the same time as New Mutants volume 2, later to be relaunched as New X-Men: Academy X, which documents the first academic year of the Xavier School post its outing as a mutant boarding school. The two books ran parallel to one another and reference the same events in the lives of the original New Mutants.

Academy X concludes during the House of M crossover itself, and with the depiction of the typical US/Canadian school dances, and the inclusion of a year book issue, I think it's reasonable to conclude that the entire Academy X era takes place over about one full school year. So adding that together, M-Day should fall around 6 years after Jean's first death, making her, Scott, and Warren around 29-30, Hank 30-31, and Bobby 27-28.

If you want corroboration while also having the chance to experience a desperate urge to kick something, here's a cropped out section of the House of X/Powers of X timeline.

My version has a type mistake, where years 49 and 50 were incorrectly reversed. Genosha should be year 50, and Moira's "death" at 49. (IIRC later print editions fixed this) M-Day and Decimation would happen in year 51. The Year 47 event references the storyline beginning in Jim Lee's X-Men #1, and so the formation of the Claremont X-Men would likely be in Year 45 or 46. Scott and co being 30ish at Year 52, and working backwards...It actually all kind of lines up?

Which I hate! I hate that it works. It forces you to accept that everything after M-Day occurs over the course of just one single year. And it's so annoying that it's actually kind of possible, when you remember how much everyone loved decompressed storytelling in those days, and subsequently how almost nothing actually happened for a decade and a half of comics. But still! That's so ridiculous! Why do they do this!

The pop-culture urge to resurrect dinosaurs.

First of all, let me clear this, DINOSAURS ARENT EXTINCT. They are right there, maybe pooping around in your lawn or the non-veg meal you recently had. You just aren't aware of it. My previous blog was all about this and you can go check that out :)

So, if dinosaurs aren't extinct, then what's the point of bringing them back to life? More so... why make movies, write stories, draw comics and blah blah blah to actually resurrect them?! And this is what this blog is all about.

Birds, which are dinosaurs don't look like the dinosaurs you actually imagine it to be. Just wonder, what's the first thing that popped up in your mind, when you read the word 'dinosaur' in the very title itself. A giant beast, ferocious eyes, long necks maybe (those sauropods) and so on. No one did think about the chickens we eat, pigeons we shoo away or those beautiful kingfishers and parrots we admire. If you did, then... I think you are already smarter than me.

This is nothing, but the result of a constant impression about dinosaurs that pop-culture has fed to you, that your mind can't imagine anything else. More apt, you just can't think other than the Jurassic Park franchise if you are a 21st century kid like me!

Now hold on, this doesn't mean I am a Jurassic Park hater or this blog got grudges against it. I love that universe as much as you but the thing is, fact is fact. And, science in the end shouldn't be to please people, but to make people aware of the things they aren't aware of.

So... with a bit of reading and literature research, I actually dug into this matter deep enough to find a reason; that actually answers my question - Why pop-culture wants to resurrect dinosaurs?

Richard Owen coined the term dinosaur in the year 1841. Note, the Theory of Evolution and The Origin of Species was published by Darwin in the year of 1859, meaning the world dug out dinosaurs technically unaware of evolution and natural selection (pretty funny to me).

This makes sense as to why it got related to reptiles in the first place. Until 1860s there was pretty much no consensus to the fact that birds are related to dinosaurs. When Archeopteryx was initially discovered somewhen around 1860 it pretty much changed the course of Dinosaur paleobiology. Trust me, society didn't believe this in the first place. It took decades for the Dinosaur Renaissance to actually begin and thanks to Robert Baker's famous book Dinosaur Heresis in the 1970s, that gave dinosaurs the justice it had long due. So its pretty much okay to say that birds are dinosaurs came into the scientific consensus much much later than it was actually discovered (unfortunately this happens with most of the discoveries in Earth Sciences as a whole). Also, I would point to the discovery of more and more feathers in fossil specimens as the point where the relation between birds and dinosaurs were eventually confirmed.

Now dinosaurs came into the pop-culture scene in the 1850s with Charles Dicken's Bleak House. Yeah, a decade before Archeopteryx was dug out and Origin of Species was published. Movies first depicted dinosaurs as pretty lovable creatures. Classic example being the animated, Gertie - The Dinosaur (by Winsor McCay) which released as a silent film in 1914.

Soon after, it didn't take long for the lovable dinosaurs to turn into horrifying beasts. DW Griffith in his 1914's Brute Force silent film depicted Dinosaurs as ferocious monsters who haunted cavemen. Also establishing the early fiction, that early humans and dinosaurs coexisted together. This, a devastating scientific hoax (sugar coated as fiction), remained for quiet some time. You might have seen the famous cartoon series - The Flintstones, yup! if you were a fan of it like me, then you relate to what I am saying.

Steven Spielberg made Jurassic Park much later. Already a lot had been done about dinosaurs in the television and big screens. He legit hired paleontologists as scientific advisors for his films, which is why many things were even scientifically correct in the Jurassic Park film series, but at the end he was a film director to appease people and deliver box-office hits. He already knew what people wanted from dinosaurs. Hardly few will remember that the film actually says that birds came from dinosaurs in the very beginning. Instead, what you remember is just them chasing humans and destroying things. Unfortunate, but that's the reality.

Even today, its hard to imagine any film, story or comic that portrays dinosaurs as birds. They are the modern day dinosaurs! You have it all around. But you aren't satisfied with it and so you need movies that bring the typical dinosaur to life with the help of special effects to satisfy your soul. So yeah, if we as common people accept the fact that birds are dinosaurs then may be resurrection of dinosaurs will reduce to a lot extent in your screens and scientifically accurate stuffs will be fed to you :)

So, this is it for this blog. To be honest, while writing this I realized that I started loving these creatures because of pop-culture only :) no matter how scientifically inaccurate it was. I mean, this does become an irony. At one side of the spectrum it is to be blamed, but on the other it did make these creatures popular isn't it? Maybe I should cover this in my next blog hehe, so stay tuned!

How do you view new fans?: I think I still classify as a new fan lol, so...okay? But tbh, there's a type of fan that I'm seeing that doesn't even really seem to like the sport? They're just here for a driver(s) and don't seem to know the rules (granted, the rules can be confusing)/overreact to on-track action etc. I think that's just part of the sport's growth lately, but it can get on my nerves sometimes to see ppl who aren't even really enjoying/interested in the sporting aspect, or who don't appreciate the spirit of competition...

If you could take over as team principal for any team, who would it be and why?: I don't want to be a team principal ashfghdkja 🤣 I do not envy that position. BUT just like any Ferrari fan, I often yell at my tv and wonder if I'd do a better job at their strategy lmao. I'd also love to live in Italy - I speak/understand Italian and LOVE the cuisine, so I'd vibe with that lifestyle.

Are your friends and family into F1 as well?: I got my mom interested in f1 about a year after me. I sometimes still can't believe she actually likes the sport, but she's really into it - almost as much as I am. We're going to the Montreal GP together next month ❤️

Okay so I'm a major fan of comics, from Batman and Spiderman to Grendel and spawn (PLEASE FUCKING READ GRENDEL) but being a physically disabled person I gravitated to X men and daredevil.

Now I'm aware that X men started as an allegory for racism that doesn't go over my head but I feel like there's another interpretation of disability that is almost seamless. I'm now going to go in depth about it

Firstly the mutant gene is usually something you'd be born with but sometimes it won't manifest until later. So you get the people that are born different and ones that's that go through accidents and end up disabled. There are mutants that can't control their power, some that pass for non mutants, and slowly degenerating mutants. My brain as a kid made a connection to visible, able bodied passing and degenerative disability

Then you have the stuff that reminds me of "treatment" for disability in the 50s. Being that people in authority wanna either lock mutants away or pick them apart to know how their powers work. They are barely human to some people.

Now we get to the 2 best outcomes for mutants. Charles Xaviers school for gifted young people. A place with accomodations for mutants to learn how to harness their powers like a program that teaches disabled people how to get around problems with our respective disabilities. The use of the word gifted stuck out to me I think because one of my teachers would only call me gifted instead of disabled. This makes sense as Charles wants mutants to be normalized and respected

Magneto wants the same thing as Charles but goes about it differently. While Charles is all about advocating for others within an oppressive system magneto wants to break the system, self advocacy by any mean. Be loud cause a scene to get what you need! If nobody sticks up for us we'll stick up for us we'll do it ourselves.

Then I believe there's actually been a few plotlines about a cure for mutant powers which leads to both forced treatment comparisons and treatment refusal. Over all both mutations and disability aren't positive or negative you have to go case by case. Some people absolutely don't wanna be a mutant, that's fine but some like their powers sometimes just because they learned to control them

For someone like me who's always been physically disabled it's almost a point of pride that I've figured out how to do so much and able bodied people always saying "I'd cure you if I could" is almost disrespectful.

Anyways thank you for reading this it means a lot to me. All of this was just connections made by my brain but this will always be my preferred interpretation
