The Sun hashira

At first, Yoriichi is very much impressed; the strength of the girl is certainly something else and if she can lift a boulder of that size without breaking a sweat and a huge smile on her face, she certainly deserves to win against his brother.

It's the first time he's kinda rooting for one of the Pillars to win and he can see Michikatsu is too, in his own way.

He still doesn't approve of anyone for his Tanjirou, but some have started to earn his respect at least.

However, the hashira, who's currently lifting that huge rock over her head like it's nothing, says something that has both Yoriichi and Michikatsu's eyes twitch with irritation.

"This is for my babygirl!" Mitsuri beams, knowing that she just won the test by a lot.

"Your what?" Perhaps Yoriichi heard wrong or maybe she wants to spend time with someone else instead and this is all a misunderstanding.

"What do you mean my?" Michikatsu asks at the same time.

He's not sure if the love hashira is just not afraid of them or she has no idea that she's pissing them off.

"I want to have a date with Tanjirou!" She says happily. "He's my babygirl!"

This has to be just a bad dream; Yoriichi wishes it was actually, that'd be better.

The serpent hashira certainly knows how to hide and that's what gives him the advantage to catch Michikatsu off guard and pass the test.

That just gives the other Pillars hope and energy to go against Michikatsu again and it's absolutely horrible.

Yoriichi would like to wake up now.

Lately, his uncle and his dad have been demanding a lot of hugs, Tanjirou doesn't mind at all, he likes physical affection, but sometimes it worries him.

"Are you alright?" He asks that morning, as dad Yoriichi takes him in his arms and pulls him close to his chest; uncle Michikatsu joins them almost immediately.

"Of course we are, little one," Yoriichi assures him, but his response doesn't convince Tanjirou.

"We don't want to lose you," Michikatsu adds and Tanjirou knows that's the truth, but just part of it.

"Why would you lose me? I'm right here with you!"

That seems to make them relax a bit, at least until two other Pillars pay them a visit that day. Tanjirou is really excited; the hashira are all amazing people and he's happy they've decided to spend time with Tanjirou and his family.

"Tanjirou!" Kanroji rushes towards him and before he can even blink, the love hashira is already pulling him into her arms. And then, ignoring a hiss from his uncle, she grabs Iguro by the haori and pulls him into the embrace as well.

"Hi, Kanroji-san, Iguro-san!" Tanjirou chuckles, before noticing that the serpent hashira is suddenly turning bright red.

"Hi, Tanjirou," turns out, despite how strict and serious he usually looks, Iguro is a little bit shy.

"We'd like to go to the village with you!" Kanroji says, leaning closer to Tanjirou to nuzzle against his cheek.

Yoriichi is already planning on saying 'No' but Tanjirou speaks before he can even part his lips.

"I'd love to!" He turns around to look at Michikatsu and Yoriichi and he's obviously so excited and happy about it they have no other choice but to nod.

"Come back soon, otherwise I'll go find you all myself," Yoriichi says; Tanjirou thinks it's because he's being overprotective, but Iguro knows it's a threat.

Tanjirou finds out that Kanroji and Iguro are dating; they make a really cute couple, although they probably just started dating because both Iguro and Kanroji are constantly getting flustered and blushy around each other.

They also enjoy holding hands with Tanjirou, which surprises the redhead, but he doesn't complain; he has started to see all the hashira as his friends.

As they walk towards the village, each of them at Tanjirou's sides, holding his hands the whole way, Mitsuri starts telling Tanjirou about the first time the serpent hashira asked her out.

"He bought me a pair of stockings!" She tells him happily and lifts one of her legs a little bit to show Tanjirou. "These ones! Aren't they cute?"

"Absolutely!" Tanjirou nods, looking at Iguro. "That's quite romantic!"

Iguro turns even more red, but Tanjirou can tell he's quite pleased with the compliment.

They go to a restaurant and eat a bit (except Kanroji, who finishes a lot of dishes on her own).

And they buy Tanjirou a hair pin that he starts wearing immediately because it's very pretty: a golden sun.

When they're back at the Sun estate, Yoriichi and Michikatsu are already waiting for them; they look like they haven't moved at all since Tanjirou left, but that's ridiculous so he shakes that silly thought off his head.

They also spend time with Rui and Nezuko; Rui still doesn't seem to like any of them, he refuses to leave Tanjirou's lap and sometimes hisses at the serpent hashira.

However, Nezuko warms up to Kanroji pretty quickly and even lets her braid her hair.

When Yoriichi and Michikatsu find out about it they look almost defeated.

"Not you too, we're supposed to be on the same team!" Michikatsu complains, staring at Nezuko as the demon girl chuckles behind her muzzle and lets Dad Yoriichi take her in his arms.

Yoriichi feels like he's suddenly losing the battle. If Nezuko starts approving of them for her big brother, he'll be in trouble; at least he still has Rui on his side.
