a pacata cidade de sokcho sempre foi pequena demais para os sonhos de yonghyun! desde criança bastante sociável e extrovertido, o garoto fantasiava com uma vida de fama e riqueza, algo que sua condição de vida atual jamais proporcionaria. mas seus pais sempre disseram: primeiro você termina a escola, depois você pode tentar o que quiser da vida. e assim ele fez. foi, aliás, na escola que conheceu seu melhor amigo, um rapaz tímido que, apesar de ser da sua idade, era uns bons centímetros menor que ele, chegando a parecer que era mais novo. a personalidade deles parecia ser completamente o oposto uma da outra, mas ao mesmo tempo a sintonia que os dois tinham era incrível, e rapidamente chegaram ao ponto de total proximidade e intimidade. naturalmente, com a chegada da adolescência, dos hormônios e da fase de descobertas, os dois jovens buscavam a pessoa em quem mais sentiam poder confiar para encontrar respostas sobre si mesmo. experimentavam um com o outro, em segredo, debaixo das cobertas quando o resto da casa dormia. e, assim, aos poucos, a amizade foi se tornando algo além. claro, ainda eram melhores amigos, mas o sentimento parecia... diferente. de amizade verdadeira a paixão avassaladora, o relacionamento deles seguia firme e forte até a chegada do grande marco que mudaria a vida de yonghyun: o fim da escola, claro! agora estava livre para seguir com seu namoradinho para seoul e tentar a sorte. espera aí... ele... quer ficar? bom, aparentemente só assim para os dois se separarem, né? um querendo explorar o mundo, conquistá-lo, fazer sua marca. enquanto o outro só queria... existir?! apesar de doloroso, os dois tiveram maturidade de entender e aceitar que às vezes as pessoas escolhem caminhos diferentes, e assim cada um segui para um lado, com a lembrança do outro ainda bem viva na cabeça. e quem diria que a história de yonghyun se tornaria um exemplo de sucesso? são raros os casos de pessoas que vêm de origens humildes como as dele e obtém sucesso, e ele se sente horado de fazer parte dessa seleta lista! seu talento, visual e, sobretudo, carisma foram responsáveis por garantir um vaga entre os trainees de uma empresa bem... média. pequena-média, talvez? bom, de qualquer forma ele acabou sendo um dos selecionados para estreiar no HOURGLASS, que acabou tendo uma trajetória similar à do próprio yonghyun. vindo "do nada", sem grandes chances, a vida parecia simplesmente sorrir para o grupo, garantindo um nível de sucesso que não era oferecido para qualquer um! e quem diria que o rapaz caipira seria o mais popular entre os 5?! hoje as coisas já deram uma baixada ao que o grupo completa seu sétimo ano. agora, podendo respirar aliviado com uma agenda menos lotada, o rapaz se questiona se talvez essa não seja a hora de mudar um pouco as coisas. quem sabe retomar algumas conexões do passado?

Coffee Queen

A/N: THIS IS PART THREE. Parts 1 & 2 are on here. Again, I’m old, dumb and can’t remember how to link things on here. Day6/YoungK Reader/YoungK fic

Prompt: I work as a barista in a coffee shop you frequent and I tried to make a leaf design on your coffee but it ended being a dick instead 

Summary: Working in a coffee shop, Kang Younghyun often visits at the end of your shift. You try to draw a cute leaf on the top of his coffee one day, but it ends up looking a little off, and not at all what you planned. He likes it anyway. 

Part 3.

After each of your shifts, Younghyun would collect you from work, buying coffees for his members and take you to their practice sessions. You had begun to hang around with them more and more often. To the point that you would even consider them...friends.  

You’d learned their names and you could even say you knew a little about each of them. Sungjin didn’t like to be touched, but he was soft and sweet, always looking after the others. Jae, he was a skinny boy who people said looked like “Chicken Little”, and was a Twitter freak. Wonpil, he had a very gentle voice and he was kind as well, but he could sometimes come across a little weird. Dowoon, the youngest member, the bands’ drummer, he was a very shy person and it took a while before he would talk to you properly without feeling embarrassed or his ears turning red. This was still more common than you would like, but he would often be too shy to have an actual conversation with you.

It had become a routine. As soon as you finished work you would brew the bands’ coffees and head over to their practice room. Sometimes, they didn’t practice anything and would spend time just talking, or going over song lyrics, making changes to things here and there. Sometimes, they even asked you for your opinion on how it was flowing, or if a word sounded like it fit right.

Jae had become one of your closest friends of the band, he was the one you felt like you connected with most, other than Younghyun. You’d gotten closer with him too.  

You’d decided at the end of your last shift that you didn’t want to stay too late with the band this time. You needed to get home, showered and have a good night’s sleep. Though, the night got away from you and when you glanced at the time on your watch you gasped quietly. It was one o’clock in the morning, and the band was still chattering excitedly with each other. You stood, stretching your arms in the air and yawning.  

No one noticed that you’d moved, which was good. You thought it would be easy to slip away without any of them noticing, so you grabbed your coat from the seat behind you and started to put it on.  

“Leaving so soon?” A voice asked. You were half in your coat, one arm in the air as you turned to your interrogator. You looked pointedly at the large clock on the wall, displaying the evidence that it wasn’t at all ‘so soon’ that you were leaving. “Fair point.” Younghyun responded, taking in your current coat predicament. “It’s late... And cold. I’ll take you.” He told you.  

“Really, you don’t need to do that. I’ve walked home alone later than this before.” You informed him pulling your coat on properly and adjusting it.”Younghyun,” you hissed in a whisper, slightly whiny. “I work in a coffee shop, we have late nights sometimes with re-organizing the whole shop, I can walk myself home.” You told him still keeping a low tone. His face was more serious, a smile didn’t appear like it usually did. Younghyun collected his own coat and while striding towards the door called to his members.

“I’m taking our Coffee Queen home.” The look he gave you at the door halted your protests, the argument you had ready. Solemnly, you followed him out, the boys yelling their goodbyes. You called back to them, casting a slightly pleading look to Jae, in hopes he would see that you didn’t want to be taken home by Younghyun and that you were a grown ass person and could take yourself as you had done for many years. Jae did not assist your dilemma, he just smirked and turned away, causing you to internally groan.  

The boys didn’t drive often, but they had a car that was accessible to them for if they wanted it. They were supposed to inform the management if they were taking it though, which Kang Younghyun did not do.

“I’m feeling a little rebellious.” The comment made you snort out a laugh. He’d asked you what was funny and you shook your head, simply dismissing the silly moment. Though, none of this could prepare you.
