I think it’s because I’m such a sucker for Kayn that I say this—it’s when he joins Heartsteel that Kayn realizes…these guys support him, and he’s capable of being loved for who he really is. He’s like a feral kitten, who realizes that these people, and this one guy in specific (yone) really do care for him, and he won’t let go after that. Learning to love and be loved is hard, but with his lover it doesn’t feel so impossible. There’s ups and downs but Yone is still water Kayn can never shake. I think they’re cute. Kayn is like that cat who will crawl onto your lap like a spoiled little thing just to grab your attention, and Yone is weak for Kayn’s love.

perhaps i’m just too used to being in the eastern side of fandoms that i get thrown off with someone saying kaynphel or kayone abt my art when i specify that it’s phelkayn or yonekayn or ezkayn (i like kayn in odd positions)
