While Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is meant to be the definitive third version of Yo-kai Watch 2, it is actually missing content from the other versions, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, namely the version-exclusive requests, which all instead have their own counterparts in Psychic Specters.

Train Lie-in with Pride/Slicenrice Under Fire are replaced with Directator's All-Star Cast, Seal No Evil/The Price of Iron are replaced with A Real Charmer, The Realest Kappa/From the Future are replaced with Trying Tangle Tango, and The Bony General/Fleshy Souls General and Enma and the Serpent/The Old Fox Shrine don't have replacements, though many new requests were added to the post-game.

Youkai Butler Whisper’s Theme ~Serious Edition~ (Yo-Kai Watch 2 [2014])

Such a Classical-sounding Violin at the center of this track! This one’s got a somber vibe because of the melody alone. Given the “spook” noises at the beginning, it seems to depict Whisper as a lone ghost who lacks a significant purpose. I liked the melody of Whisper's theme from the 1st game, but the overload of cartoony noises prevented me from enjoying it, so it’s great to see what I consider a glow-up for the sequel, even though this version still isn’t considered the “main” one in comparison to the earlier one that’s still used in Yo-Kai Watch 2 as well

Oh so I’ll probably not be able to get three of the -nyans in Yokai Watch 2 because two are digital download version only and another one is broken indefinitely due to the update no problem there’s lots of others to get haha

tonight, I beat both of the post game final bosses of yokai watch psychic specters, Kat Kraydel and Kabuking, and oh my fucking GOD both fights were SO intense... Im not used to bosses in games where being max level is a REQUIREMENT and instead of beating them easily because of your levels, you have to actively STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE and get one shot by things even tho you're level 99... BUT I DID IT!!! These are my guys who got me through both fights...

So I was taking a little break from Borderlands and sort of delved back into yokai watch after deciding to replay psychic specters and going back into 3 (mainly post game stuff)

While looking though yokai watch fanfics, seeing if any new Nate/Haley fics were added and there's one which has trans girl Nate and I'm starting to like this headcanon.

This was actually inspired by that fic, with Nate coming out to Haley first and she in turn became her biggest supporter

Yes! I have Yokai Watch 1, Yokai Watch 2 (Fleshy Souls) and Yokai Watch Busters (White Dog Squad). My siblings and I used to have Yokai Watch 2 (Psychic Specters) but we lost the game chip. 😔 I love yokai Watch 3 the most, but unfortunately I can’t play it because it isn’t really sold anywhere in the US anymore, and the Nintendo E-Shop on the 3DS game console has been down for years.

Side Kick Inspectors

I'm starting to play YKW Psychic Specters and it's cool but I have questions that probably aren't important (yes I still love Yokai Watch)

At the start of the game, Mom says she needs to lock up the house but after the whole doughnut thing, you can go into the house? Did she forget to lock up or does the main character just have the keys to the house?

Speaking of doughnuts, why argue about what doughnuts to get, just buy both? Actually, that 8-pack or whatever of doughnuts was like £9.00 so never mind I would not spend £18.00 on doughnuts.

The main character keeps getting deja vu about the watch, and it made me realize that it probably is possible literally anyone else could've freed Whisper and gotten the watch instead of Katie/Nate, which is a very interesting concept.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters has an odd glitch that makes it impossible to get 100%. The music app is supposed to unlock more songs once you listen to them or meet other conditions; however, in Psychic Specters, this isn't the case, and you're stuck with the ten songs unlocked initially. This glitch has never been patched.

it is indeed! the 10th in Japan - so right now, but I'll be emotionally celebrating it til the 10th has passed in my timezone too haha!! my first game was the first game (no shock there) but fleshy souls is probably my favourite game of all time 🥹 I always wanted to play psychic specters too but I've yet to get a chance lol!

Any news about a switch Yokai Watch game coming to the west?

Still waiting for either Yokai Watch 4 or a remaster of Yokai Watch 2: Psychic Specters.

I'm also curious about Ghost Craft. I'll just have to wait and see in Level5's showcase
