I forgot to post the other night that I went to my older nephew’s concert. He’s a member of the saxophone ensemble (next year he is being promoted to the sax choir!) of the Youth Orchestra of Central Jersey. All of the kids were so talented, the show was so great. It was a professional-level quality performance. After the concert we all went to Five Guys for shakes and fries. It was a very enjoyable evening. :)

I shared the insert instead of the list of songs from inside the booklet because all the kids’ names are on those pages.

I haven’t been on here in ages, so here is my update. During the talk and performance, I kept thinking “I can’t wait to go home and tell mom about this.” The masterclass was interesting, and my nephew and I really enjoyed it. It was bittersweet, though, because I kept thinking about mom. When I took my nephew home and was talking to my brother about what I’d been thinking he said “mom knows, she was there.” While that’s comforting in a way, it doesn’t make this process any easier.
