This will be my final release as the series got licensed! Please support Kashima when you can! Maybe I'll make some analysis post about the series one day, LOL.

Translation Notes
"The beautiful Mr. Yura being carried by the handsome school nurse," is originally 美女(?)由良センセーイケメン養護教諭に抱かれるの巻" in Japanese. There's a "(?)" in front of "bijo (美女)." Bijo translates to "beautiful woman." Obviously, Yura isn't a woman.
Nama shoyu is pure, unpasteurized soy sauce.
Mitsuki (光月) means "glowing moon." As mentioned in a previous translation note, Kosei (煌星) means "twinkling star," hence Yura telling Kosei that he's "projecting onto her a bit too much."
Comments
Kosei and his sister have space-themed names... How adorable is that?
My first attempt at handwritten SFX. It's pretty convenient, actually. It lessens the amount of time I spend scrolling FontBase for a fitting font, haha. Maybe I'll redo the previous chapters one day (also since I accidentally deleted my whole scanlation folder... Haha).
Chapter four is my favorite chapter of volume one, but also the absolute WORST to redraw and typeset. Kashima really just said, "I'm gonna add all the more complicated SFX in this one chapter!" LOL.
All of that aside, this chapter marks the beginning of the "shou" (承) part of the kishoutenketsu (起承転結) story structure. Buckle up, because we're in for a ride. What kind of baggage is Yura carrying, I wonder? Stay tuned to find out!

Translation Notes
Kosei speaks English with a heavy Japanese accent. I opted to localize this by making him sound more slangy to show how...bad his speaking is. They're also enclosed in less-than/more-than symbols (<>) as per comic book tradition. I'll list the phrases he used below.
Mista Yura ← 由良ティーチャー (Yura Teacher)
G'mornin' ← グッモーニン (Supposed to be "good morning," but it honestly sounds like g'mornin' with how he slurs the "good")
Mornin' ← グッモ (Gummo, an abbreviation of the phrase above. This actually ends up being some kind of new slang among the students, or at least Kosei's friend circle)
Catch ya later ← シーユートゥモロ (See you tomorrow)
In order to become a teacher in Japan, one must pass an exam to obtain an license. To take that exam, one must obtain a certain amount of credits in college related to teaching and the subject they wish to teach. There's different certificates available depending on how many credits a person has, though the most common is a type 2 certification, which is the equivalent of an associate's degree (takes about two years).

Translation Notes
Kosei (煌星) means "twinkling star." It can also be read as "kiraboshi."
Ayato (絢斗) is composed of the characters meaning "dazzling, beautiful" (絢) and "big dipper" (斗). 絢 also means "beautiful fabric design," which is associated with the Milky Way (from how Orihime would weave cloth by the Milky Way).
With Ayato associated with Orihime from the 絢 part of his name, it's a possibility that Kosei could be a slight reference to Hikoboshi, Orihime's husband.
Yoake no Polaris (夜明けのポラリス) translates to "Polaris at Dawn." Polaris is the brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor, commonly known as the Little Dipper. Additionally, Polaris is the current northern pole star, which makes it great for celestial navigation.
The title will make more sense when you realize that Kosei represents the north star and remember that dawn symbolizes new beginnings!
Comments
My first full-scale scanlation project! Chiaki Kashima is a fav mangaka of mine, with her Hana to Usagi probably being the first BL I've read waaay back then. I know, this is a student/teacher relationship. If you can stomach that, I do highly recommend reading this BL. The characters are all really charming, and the story isn't exactly so predictable either. Also, it's nothing predatory, I promise.
The Orihime and Hikoboshi references to Kosei's and Ayato's names are kind of a stretch, but I'm just throwing it out there. I'm a huge fan of meaningful names.
Yoake no Polaris is going to run with three volumes minimum. This is first time Kashima wrote a story this long, as her previous works only had up to two volumes. Picking up a multi-volume series probably isn't a wise choice for a first project, but I'm at least enjoying this story more than I thought. I feel so normal about them (no).
