Count Ymir makes me laugh so hard cause to me he really comes across as a obsessive fan girl. But the worst kind. Like he's making head canons that he insist are correct and if you disagree your an anti. He's cosplaying from his hat, to his robe, to his hilarious staff that is such a poor imitation the game even calls him out for wanting to basically become a finger and outrightly states how useless his crystal ball imitation of a microcosm is. I think it's even funnier that the game gives you access to the real version of his staff with an actually microcosm at the exact same time. Just in case you thought for a second this man was right about anything. But best of all, he's basically kinning for a finger monster. He's so obsessed he's like guys no seriously I'm really their mother.

I don't think it's a coincidence that he's basically just squatting in the remnants of a carian manor where he's the only one left because every normal greater will fan can NOT deal with his toxicity in the fandom. Marika trapped him in the land of shadow for the sin of being cringe.

While this blog isn't centered around anything in particular beyond whatever I'm obsessing over at the time, it's usually associated with Dead by Daylight. However we are currently in an Attack on Titan era due to me watching the show for the first time. So I decided to take inspiration from Otzdarva's Lore Build videos and try to come up with some lore builds for some of the Attack on Titan skins.

Note: These builds aren't really supposed to be competitively viable, hell some of these perks are borderline unusable, but I went with what I thought fit the character thematically or encouraged a play style fitting to them. Also I tried to explain certain mechanics for people unfamiliar with Dead by Daylight and listed the characters each perk belongs to in case you aren't sure. So that's why it gets a little wordy lmao. Also some spoilers for the show ahead.

I struggled with a fourth perk for this, before settling on Rancor I tried it with Iron Grasp and Agitation based off Reiner carrying Eren, Bertolt and Ymir for hours without Eren escaping. So those work too

These Survivor ones got real wordy so er, you might need to zoom in a bit sorry

Hange my beloved. Fairly self explanatory. Some of the pronoun usage is a little confusing in retrospect in terms of when I'm referring to Hange and when I'm referring to a group but i think you can still get the gist.

This build works best if the Obsession is Eren, just saying.

(yeah I don't own the Eren skin yet so I used the artwork sue me. And yes this does look nicer but damn it it's 7am, I haven't slept and I'm not redoing the others, not for 10 years at least) Originally I was gonna make this a pre timeskip Eren build since that's what Dwight is cosplaying, but then I realised all my ideas were "get your ass beat and all four perks kick in on the floor" so I tossed in Dark Sense and Blast Mine as a little bit of edgy war criminal Eren love.

(Another skin I don't own and another that looks far nicer. Also whoever on the Dead by Daylight wiki made that icon why did they make Levi the chad wojak?) I wanted to avoid perks overlapping otherwise it would've turned into everyone having Lithe, Decisive Strike and Flashbang probably. However I couldn't resist giving Levi and Mikasa Lithe as it fit the two of them I feel. In terms of alternate perk choices for Levi I considered Diversion because of when the threw the chair at Kenny (who's a character I wanted to include but I couldn't think of perks for him) and Adrenaline for fairly obvious reasons. And yes Lithe and Head On conflict but I see plenty of people run them together and somehow always have the one they need ready to go so eh.

There's five characters, five builds. Enough to fill up a lobby. This was spur of the moment at 3am so it's not very pretty looking and might not be entirely coherent but I think it gets the information across. I really enjoyed coming up with these as a newly created shameless AOT fanboy and multi year prisoner of Dead by Daylight.

How do you think the dlc elaborates on blaidd?

It doesn't by a terribly large amount, but the background it provides for Rennala, the Carian symbology, and the Two Fingers perhaps provides some insight into Rennala's "approval" for him to be her daughter's shadow!

I always found Iji's account of his creation and acceptance as a vassal of the royal family intriguing, but equally mysterious, particularly with regards to Rennala. Ranni was chosen as an Empyrean from a young age and granted this half-wolven.... child to assist her, but I'd always wondered just how Rennala would have perceived this, and whether it might have worried her. After all, it sounds like there could have been room for her to deny Blaidd's service to Ranni. To be an Empyrean—the first known Empyrean since Marika's rise to godhood, perhaps chosen even to dismantle the Golden Order—would obviously be a tremendous undertaking, yet it was never very clear how much Rennala knew about the Two Fingers and divinity.

Of course, now we at least know that Rennala's teacher was Count Ymir. Ymir, though he accepted to instruct her in her mastery of the Full Moon, was himself more intrigued by the fingers and the Greater Will itself, and the sorceries they imparted upon the lampreys. It stands to reason that Rennala also learned a great deal about the fingers under Ymir's tutelage, and that when Ranni was chosen, she already was possessed of a deep understanding of what it implied for Ranni's fate, and perhaps Blaidd's dual-purpose as a vassal and potential executioner of her dear daughter.

Now for more headcanon-y stuff: Blaidd's armor depicts a relief of two women holding hands that I've always found somewhat odd. Stranger still, the general motif almost seems to reflect the sigil of the Nail sorceries derived from the fingers. I like to think that perhaps Rennala had commissioned this armor to be specially tailored for him, and that the motif reflects her acknowledgement that he was a creation of the fingers, and perhaps even pays homage to her former master, Count Ymir... :x

In any case, it made the process of killing Metyr while cosplaying Blaidd feel incredibly fitting, lol.
