Summary- Tim Drake Centric, Tim dies as Red Robin only to wake up w/ the past 12 years of his life erased. Now he makes it his personal mission to help his family even when no longer one of them, helped by his various personas to navigate his quadruble life. But nothing stays secret forever and hiding in plain sight from the bats will only work for so long. Time is running out (in more way than one)

Mama Bird (but its your brother ready to fight god) WIP- 10.9k (5 chapters)

Summary- Tim Drake Centric, Tim just wants to get a case done but needs the Batcomputer. Its sheer circumctance hes in the cave when Robin and Batman finish patrol. But when Batman attacks Damian over a fear gas incident? Tim might push the lines of "no kill code" Followed by lots of core four + extended siblings comfort and coming to terms with bad dad bruce wayne.

chapter 1 of my fic "swapped" is up!

Jesus fucking Christ, guys. What the hell??? So my little inspiration post for this fic popped off which is crazyyy! We are now 202 birdwatchers! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

A little disclaimer for this fic though: Uni has just started, meaning that my spare time isn't as much as it used to be. Because of this it'll take significantly longer for me to write fics I'm actually proud of and want to be read by you guys, so please bear with me, alright?

I made this fic a multi chapter one because I have too many fun ideas AND most importantly to relieve some pressure off myself.

(Because as much as I'm grateful for all of the attention my post regarding this fic has been garnering, I won't lie to you guys and say that it hasn't terrified me. I mean, about 50 people or so want reminder tags??? So I do feel the pressure for this fic not to disappoint y'all.)

The idea is that instead of becoming Robin, he instead knocked Batman out with tranquilizer darts when things were getting too much. Forcing the man to go to deal with his shit. With Tim continuing to work in the shadows as a sniper. Might draw more if I feel like it.

The rules are to post an excerpt from your most recent WIP and then tag a bunch of people. So here's a little something from the next chapter of The Best Laid Plans of Robins:

Jay breaks the silence first, cracking the lid on the pot to give the stew a quick stir. “By the way,” he says, his tone shifting to something lighter, “if you’re planning to use that knife for anything else, maybe wipe the carrot gunk off first. Unless you’re into cross-contamination.” Tim rolls his eyes, reaching for a rag. “I think I’ll live.” “Sure,” Jay shoots back, smirking. “Until you don’t. Food poisoning is a silent killer, kid.” Tim huffs a laugh despite himself, wiping down the knife. It’s weird how quickly Jay can flip the mood. It’s even weirder how natural it feels when he does. “I’m guessing you’ve survived worse,” Tim says, watching as Jay grabs a spice jar and shakes some into the pot with practiced ease. Jay flashes a grin over his shoulder. “You’d be right. I’ve seen people taken out by a bad shrimp cocktail. Food safety’s serious business.” Tim raises an eyebrow. “That’s… oddly specific.” “Life’s oddly specific,” Jay says with a shrug, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Tim shakes his head, snorting as he finishes wiping down the cutting board. Objectively, Jay is a weird person. He’s this towering ex-mercenary—or whatever his backstory actually is. Jay refuses to share, but the few anecdotes he’s let slip are straight-up insane. And yet here he is, standing in Drake Manor, making stew, and lecturing about food safety like he’s a suburban dad. Or the FDA. Could be either really. It’s undeniably bizarre. “You’re thinking too hard,” Jay says, snapping Tim out of his thoughts. Tim blinks. “What?” Jay points a wooden spoon at him with a knowing smirk “You’ve got that look. The one that screams, ‘I’m solving twenty problems in my head and pretending I don’t have feelings.’” Tim scowls. That’s a really pointed description that sounds uncomfortably like Bruce. Tim internally cringes at the thought. “I do not have a look.” “Kid, you have the look,” Jay counters, leaning casually against the counter. “It’s practically your resting face. I’m surprised your teachers don’t call you out for it.” Tim hesitates for just a beat too long, and Jay’s smirk sharpens. “Not that you’d know anything about teachers calling you out, right?” Jay adds with just the right amount of edge to keep Tim on guard. Tim shakes his head and tries to shake off the weird feeling. “You’re ridiculous.” “And you’re dodging,” Jay says, clearly enjoying this. Tim suppresses the urge to roll his eyes, but there’s something about Jay’s banter that feels less like an intrusion and more like something... normal. He shifts his focus back to the cutting board that he’s wiping down. “So, what are we calling this stew?” Jay grins, catching the deflection but letting it slide. “Classic Jay Peters Mystery Stew,” he announces with a flourish. “Guaranteed to taste like something—or your money back.” Tim snorts. “Comforting.” “Relax, it’s good,” Jay says, grabbing two bowls. “Unless you’re allergic to awesome, in which case, we’ve got bigger problems.”

He doesn’t know what Robin’d smell like like that, obviously, because all he can really think of and all he’s got to go on is the flat, neutral scent of the other’s blockers. But at the same time, he thinks . . . thinks . . . 

Robin wouldn’t smell wild or electric. Not soothing either, probably. He’d smell–it’d be more like Cissie’s scent, Kon thinks. More . . . controlled like that. And he’s probably an alpha like Cissie too, Kon figures, twisting his fingers a little tighter in Suzie’s blanket as he thinks. Because, like–Robin’s the leader, and Robin’s so fucking careful with his self-control, so quick to deescalate the situation, but he’s still got a temper under all that, and he’s so decisive and sure all the time, so confident in what he knows he can do, and . . . 

Kon squirms.

Robin’s probably an alpha, yeah.

YJ Mako Mermaids AU (this post context)- Tail headcanons!!(and main powers)

Konners tail- (Hydro Thermokenisis)

Bright orange with dark red highlights on his more spike shaped fins. Very reminiscent of lava especially when the sun hits it just right. This is a tail made for POWER- lots of muscle under those scales that packs a nasty punch. He learned that after accidently smashing part of a reef bed, didnt hurt nearly as much as the lecture from Bart afterwards though.

Tims tail- (Hydro Cryokenisis)

A range of Blues from almost black to neon, extra fins are more wavy than pointed. It resembles something that would come from the deep sea and does in fact glow in the right light. A tail made for Dexterity above all else, tight twists and turns are a breeze. Though as a result of his new found ease, he's no longer allowed to play navigator since some of his "routes" are impossible for the others.

Cassies Tail- (None Siren song)

A gorgeous true and white gold that shimmers as she glides through the water. The real fun though? Her tail gives her the power and manuverability to launch herself out of the water at outrageous heights. Of course after a close call with her almost flopping on the deck of a Wayne research boat, she isnt allowed to do her "bursts" out of the water unless absolutely certian shes alone with her friends.

Barts tail- (Electrokensis)

An array of orange contrasted with white and black markings make Barts tail blend in the most of all. One advantage he does have over his friends is a tail made for pure speed, his top fin cutting through the water with no restraint. But such speed makes it hard to dodge objects when he isnt careful, and dragging an unconcious bart onto dry land while still in tails themselves? A nightmare.

None of their tails seem to tie back to any specific species of origin, but seem to have traits unique to their own features.

I've been thinking/trying to get into the DC fandom for a while now but I'm not sure how to go about it (two of my QPPs are very into it and I want to understand more of the references they make and it also just sounds like fun), and I was wondering if you might be able to give me a few pointers on what to look at first and such please?

My advice to getting in the dc fandom is to find a character/characters and then finding easy stuff to watch or read about them

if you like Superman go watch some of his movies or look up some of his comics to read online, same with Batman.

I got into the fandom bc I saw Robin and got interested. I watched teen titans, and went online to read comics/find stuff about him, it’s the same with most big characters.

And then after that you’ll notice that they show up in bigger things in the dcu and that’ll introduce you to more comics, characters and places.

the dc fandom is really big and you’ll find that it has smaller circles in it. The deeper you get into one the more you’ll realize that they’re all connected.

Try asking other dc blogger for their input as well as comic recommendations and what they did to get in this fandom. It’s best not to only take from one place. :)
