C: I really hope I don't get crucified for this but Solavellan. I understand where the popularity and love for the character/ship comes from.

I did a Solavellan playthrough through Trespasser with a Lavellan who tripped over Solas but stuck to her Identity as Dalish and questioned him a lot. By the end of the playthrough I was angry on behalf of my poor Lavellan. She needed a fucking nap.

I get it, I really do, but it's just not for me. The angst is good, but nothing else there...appeals to me? Again, no hate on people who love Solavellan, you're completely valid. I'm clearly not the target audience for it, though.

K: I immediately want to say Blackwall, but also Loghain for similar reasons. I was talking to someone about this the other day about how if you had no other context from The Stolen Throne, some codex entries and dialogue, Origins makes Loghain and Howe look very cartoon villain-ish, which I think especially for Loghain is a disservice.

While I still think Loghain's actions and justifications are questionable and even at times deplorable, I understand the lengths that drove him to do those things. At the Landsmeet, Loghain seems to realize what he's done and accepts whatever punishment the Warden sees fit as atonement. All of the choices are good, but especially giving Loghain to the Wardens, and meeting him later in Inquisition, is a great development arc for his character.

Really, there's a lot of character arcs in the series I enjoy. I could probably talk about it for hours.

I would hug every single one of them at length. I'd probably cut it off for a while with Devil though, we know how he gets.

how are you and your muse different?

I'd say firstly, I am a living person and they are imaginary. Otherwise, I have no spine and really enjoy sitting on a couch stoned eating chips, and I don't think any of my roster would like that for very long.

For the ships: Solas/Inquisitor, and/or Alistair/Warden? (only if you've played Origins, and you can totally substitute OC for Warden/Inquis!)

Okay...this completely worked out because I just started DAO (technically I had to restart it, but that’s a story for another time I made an elf and heard that Alistair breaks up with you and I also made an oopsie that I couldn’t fix). So, I put this under the cut because I had to explain my reasoning, you know, cause I’m extra like that. But anyway, I haven’t beaten it yet, I’ve only gotten as far as the circle (seriously...I don’t know what Solas was thinking...the Fade sucks...), so my DAO knowledge is limited. 

Zorina is my human noble Warden...and let me just say...that I would die on this ship happily, because they’re so damn adorable. Zorina is very much the noble daughter that refused to marry--she had too much fun with her bow and she didn’t like any of the suitors (even the one you meet in the beginning of the game.) However, she knows Alistair for about 30 seconds before she starts to get flirty and playfully teases with him. They get along immediately, hitting it off and joking a bit to themselves at camp, and they bond over their losses. They’re so damn CUTE. Honestly, Alistair is someone I would want for myself IRL, and I wish there were more like him, but alas...anyway, I adore them and they deserve happiness. Now, if I decide to make another Warden (an elf mage), the platonic relationship will be very sibling like (because I’ll probably ship her with Zevran, depending on how it all goes). I know I didn’t put it on the bingo sheet, but that’s because that OC is questionable, and I honestly love Zorina and Alistair. Their love is just...so damn pure and they go through so much together. They have a soft place in my heart. (And yes, Zorina and Alistair’s ship name is absoltuely the song from Phantom of the Opera, because that has major vibes, okay? He is a Disney prince, and Raul reminds me of one, and just...I have no excuse)

LISTEN. I 👏 have 👏 opinions 👏. I’m SO MAD still about that ending, and even more so for Athera, because her heart is just...shattered. Everything she believed in was wrong, SHE LOSES HER ARM, she lost the love of her life because he plans on pretty much destroying the world, and she can’t join him (and try to change his mind). Athera ends up pregnant with twins, you know, and it just...sucks. She tries to use lyrium to find him in the Fade, but can’t, so she has two little ones while he watches on. It’s so damn SAD. But honestly...they have a few aesthetics going for them: the wolf and the halla, and the black and white wolf yin and yang thing. She’s gonna try and bring him back into the light, because Athera is, after all, the White Wolf of Lavellan, and she loves him dearly. They’re so soft, he constantly meets her in her dreams, and she will sketch him or sketch while he’s walking the Fade at ruins during missions. He tells her stories of his journeys while they lay together in bed, and just...it’s true love, it really is. But also, they make great friends (hence the platonic), and even though Athera is my Inquisitor, my playthrough as Evune has taught me that the friendship with him is just as meaningful, just in it’s own way. Which is what I want for him and Evune. And honestly, she’s just as heartbroken and angry as Athera, for some of the same reasons, but also because he lied to her and betrayed her (in her eyes), and that...is a hard thing for her. Evune has trust issues as is. Its just sad all around.

holy mother of AUs. you have more of these!?!? where do you find the ideas for this? my AUs are basically around my Shepard and her background. I write about her on Mindoir that she fought off the slavers and became an advocate for slaves within the Alliance.

they tend to take on a mind of their own!! it started as diri -- my idea with her was to explore an aggressively dalish inquisitor and how thedas would take her as a leader. it was quite explosive, especially with nobility relations. not that her anger is misplaced at the shem, but i found for her to succeed as inquisitor, she needed a yang to her yin. that became alhorn, because none of the current companies could fill that role. making a new one seemed very viable, especially because she was a lavellan, from a large clan.

the twist with the magical injury came in later, in fact, when i was trying to figure out how alhorn got to the inquisition in the first place. having them linked also came after the injury. killing diri was spur of the moment, but it gave me a chance to use that connection i was wondering about.

such changes came as i played, or wrote about them. i can’t really put my finger on exactly where all of it came from. regardless, i’m really glad you like them! thank you so much!!!

i’m also so happy about your shepard!!! anon!!!!!! dude!!!!!!! slave advocate shepard? as a mindoir survivor (or warrior, given they were fought off?) she would be the perfect face for that. is she still the commander? the advocacy a side project? or does her advocacy lead her into the saren conspiracy? i assume she would work with the council a lot, and other political leaders? i want to know all about her know holy shit MESSAGE ME IF YOU WANT TO i’m keen. let’s go

Bones has taught me to stay true to myself even if it's hard, Voltron has taught me that just because it's difficult doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
